What guests think

Across recent reviews, Quality Inn & Suites Mansfield is praised for clean rooms, friendly staff, a quiet hilltop setting with scenic views, and a generally well-regarded breakfast, offering good value for travelers needing a simple, convenient stop.

The location is handy to the highway yet somewhat out of the way, and a few guests found signage hard to spot. Reported drawbacks include occasional musty odors or damp-feeling rooms, dated or renovating areas, intermittent noise near elevators or from equipment, and mixed experiences with the on site bar. Overall, expect a straightforward stay with solid basics and good value.

Please note if you are planning on bringing your dog to are not allowed to leave it in the room. I've searched and cannot find any mention of it in the online booking. However upon arrival i was made to sign a pet agreement with the hotel, which is expected. However in agreement it stated you cannot leave your dog in the room. I would have booked another hotel if i had known that. 4 hours from home, with 2 dogs and i have to take them with me everywhere? If you came for and kind of outing that doesn't allow dogs you're out of luck. Quite disappointing that the online restrictions say nothing of the sort and i was only notified upon arrival.

Booked two king rooms. Found both to be clean, well maintained, looked like new carpet and everything worked. If I had to complain about anything …. All I can think to comment on is the pillows were so soft that when you use them they compress to nothing. I was happy I brought one from home. They did provide 5 in total for the bed. Shannon at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even with a full house she was all smiles and happy to help. The cleaning staff does a great job. Security cameras in the hallways which was nice to know. We felt safe. It was very quiet and we had no issues sleeping. Breakfast had something for everyone. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Everything you’d want or need can be found within a mile or two of this location. A college, a Walmart, gas stations, ice cream shop, bars, … even a sporting store. Of note, there is no pool and no bar at this location… but there are bars in town. We will stay here again.

Bar in the lobby is a REAL bar, not a hotel bar. They have events: karaoke, disco, etc. Great service everywhere. Employees seem to really care. Even the Gen Mgr is there, interacting, at all hours of day and night.

What made the property unique was the hill that you drove on to get to the property and the grill and picnic tables on property so that you could grill your own food while there. Also, there was a pool table and bar inside the hotel, but disappointed that when I went to the bar nobody showed up to serve me. What I didn't like about the property was the AC and heating unit was very loud in the room which sounded like a tractor trailer driving on the highway.

All seemed good Friday night. Woke up to room with numerous bugs everywhere. Showed a trucker in the lobby one that i put in a plastic cup. He thought they were flying ants. Bugs on bedsheets, walls, sink basin, and probably on me,etc. Not even an apology from the girl at the front desk. Messed trip up.

The hotel was disgusting in common areas. The steps were so dirty you could write your name in the dirt. The hallways smelled like #2! They offer breakfast but it was not cleaned at all. The staff member tending to the breakfast area stood in the break room with the door open scrolling social media. The videos she was watching had foul language that should not be heard by young ears. There were not any utensils available except for spoons. Very upsetting

3 of the rooms on the first floor smelled very musky and moldy. It wasn’t until we went to the second floor that we were able to tolerate the air in the room. This motel is used by many workers , which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but just to be informed. All the rooms have carpeting so, there’s the mold and then the chemical smell of rug deodorizer. The staff was very nice and helpful. So. There’s that.

We were not looking for a 5-star hotel. This place is sufficient for the price. My only negative experience was with the TV. They use Dish Network and many of the channels were horrible. The show I wanted to watch was fuzzy and blurry. I ended up using my iPad to stream.

Without GPS we never would have found it as it's not visible from the main road, so signage could be improved a bit. It was clean and friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We don't love the communal bottles of shampoo/conditioner, etc. and miss the small ones. Breakfast was great. Our son just moved to college near the property and we'll stay there again when we visit.

Close to the highway. I stay here for the convenience, not the glamor. The rooms are a bit hit or miss. The one I stayed in last time was very good. This one felt damp and had a peculiar odor, like gym clothes that had been left in the bag. The AC in the room was set to 65 when I came in so I actually had to turn on the heat to make the room habitable. Surely setting it to 72 would be more reasonable. The breakfast is adequate but not great. Today all the bananas were so overripe, they were only fit for making banana bread. There is only nonfat yogurt.
