There aren’t enough outlets or chargers for your electronic devices. No ice machine and the fridge is a dorm sized one that sat on the floor. The bed was comfortable and the maid came in every other day and refreshed our sheets and towels. They didn’t refill the coffee either.

Welcome staff was great. Breakfast was individual packaged oatmeal. Not spectacular. The made bed had somebody's hair in it. There was a sock below the chair. I can't say attention to detail was high on the list here. Standards need to be raised. Nice place to be, all the same.

Need to get pest control out and do a better job cleaning. Found 3 spiders hanging around the corners and ants on the walls and in my bed. I guess you get what you pay for.

We were both tired and just wanted to sleep so we just stayed, but it was the biggest-regret-this-year. So I would not recommend this place for the following reasons: uncomfortable mattress with sink hole, squeaky bed frame, unsafe power strip with fridge, microwave and coffee maker, uncleanliness, cigarette-burned chair, non-functioning lamp, tiny bathroom, NASTY shower (slow to drain, mold, dirty soap dish tray, spider in the bedroom, and a very old smell. I have pictures of most everything, except the smell. So yeah “8.8” ?!? VERY misleading,…more like .08, 1/2 star rating at best; would NOT recommend.

Check in was done via screen, not necessarily bad but different. No one was at the front desk so who could we go to with issues? All the windows in room were unlocked. There were ants all over the bathroom and small flies throughout the room. The sheets were itchy. My daughter now has a rash. My kids actually wanted to sleep in the car versus the room we had. Honestly it’s more of a motel than hotel. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve had on Hotels.com. I personally will not stay at this property again. Disappointed in Hotels.com for working with this property.

My wife and I stayed here before she had a medical procedure at Stanford. We were both surprised at how nice the room was given our previous stays at similar Motels. The room was super clean. The bed was a dream and both of us slept like logs. Our only complaint was that the TV was broken and was only setup to allow for us to use our own accounts for streaming services. Not a huge deal.

Easy check in. Bed was a bit hard but room was clean. Had two bottles of water and couple granola bars as welcome items. Only had one coffee pod (decaf) in the room. Didn’t have time to go to office for coffee. Very noisy from street traffic but it died down as the evening went on. Over all nice place to stay.

We appreciated the gentleman at the front desk and the person who arranged for us to have earlier check- in time. The housekeeping woman was very friendly & helpful with our requests. The big drawback I experienced the second night was the paper-thin walls and the people next-door talking nonstop all night long until the morning. Either they were doing a training online or something else, but it was constant nonstop talking. I was recovering from an outpatient procedure @ Stanford. I slept well on the very comfortable mattress as did my sister on her bed, but whenever I woke up the endless chatter continued. If not for that I would have given ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The check in process was very unique, I arrived around 11pm to the locked lobby with a phone number which I called and I was given a code to get inside and a few moments later was greeted by an employee on a kiosk which led me through the check in process. It was fast and easy. The room itself was clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom is small but clean, really like that the TVs are Roku so you could watch your streaming services. Only complaint was the bed and that’s mainly because of a personal preference the bed was very firm some might like that and some might not it’s really a person to person issue. Overall nice short 1 night stay, would stay again.

Expect no service. Greeted by a kiosk robot. Everything about this is cheap and low end. The shower barely flows, I understand California is trying to save water, but I had to take a shower three times as long just to properly wash my hair. The shampoo or soap squirts out the tiniest amount, so you have to pump a few times to just get normal amount of soap. Your room might be in the lobby! (like mine was) took me forever to find it, with no one on the property to guide me. The bed is foam, squishy on top, yet very firm. Walls are dirty, the maintenance is poor. This hotel is lucky it has these cool looking pictures that is getting them booked.

For me, staying at the Leland Hotel was a truly unique experience. I had never before stayed at lodgings where every aspect of the service provided to guests was managed electronically. This included both check-in and check-out procedures, and all the amenities within the accommodation from motion-sensing bathroom lights to available streaming videos, to safe and secure door locking mechanisms. The most surprising and delightful aspect of this was a trainee desk clerk named Paula who staffed the registration desk's electronic kiosk. She was courteous, helpful, attentive and highly competent in every possible way. As a senior woman, I might have easily felt that interacting with hotel staff via electronic connection, as opposed to face-to-face, was daunting. However, Paula's kind and reassuring presence resulted in an experience which was both pleasant and efficiently managed. I wish to commend this trainee for her kind and respectful service. She is a credit to the Leland Hotel establishment in every possible way and she deserves to be commended!

The room was nice and clean. Didn’t realize the family room doesn’t have a bath tub so wasn’t very convenient for my child. Walls are not sound proof- we could hear the neighbors conversations. The hotel was close to Stanford Children’s Hospital , that was also convenient.

The hotel is rundown and fell short of reasonable expectations for a $300 stay. From reception to the room, it felt like a questionable roadside motel. The walls were scuffed, furniture cheap, shower drain was clogged, the location was isolated. With no flexibility on cancellation I felt stuck at a place I was not comfortable to be alone at. If the rate was $99 I would not leave this review, as that would change my expectations. But the rate was $300 and the experience was poor.
