We paid for a room we did not receive initially. We were placed in a basement sub room that had no closet , no windows, hard to manuver and lack of various amenities. We booked months in advance. Unacceptable. Had to stay the night. amenities. We complained and then were moved the next day to a perfectly fine room. The fact that the hotel put full paying guests in such a room initially

I wanted to love this hotel, but in the end it was just ok for the money. It had a more boutique vibe and less corporate feel which we usually like, however it felt lacking in amenities/conveniences. For example, our in room coffee did not get replenished and we had to request toilet paper instead of having an extra roll available in the bathroom. We went to the speak easy bar in the basement for a to-go cup of coffee. There was only 1 table occupied yet we waited for service long enough we gave up and headed to bakery next door. The location was great, the check in staff helpful, the evening bartender great, and decor interesting and comfortable. The room was clean but 1 of our beds listed to 1 side, pillows flat as pancake and cheap linens. For the value/price, I would stay somewhere else the next time.
