Happy Trails Hideout w/ New Bunk House & Hot Tub!

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book this property again! The home is beautiful, especially the kitchen, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The separate garage sleeping area was a great bonus, and the inside of the home was very clean.We especially enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and spacious deck. The property is in a quiet, peaceful area, and we loved watching the birds each day.There were just a few minor issues during our stay. The bathroom sink drained slowly when we arrived, the propane tank for the grill was empty, and there were quite a few spiderwebs on the outdoor ceiling fans. The lawn was mowed while we were outside, and the pool maintenance guy stopped by. He mentioned that the owners don’t inform him when guests are staying, so it would be nice if maintenance visits could be scheduled between stays when possible. We also noticed several hornets and hornet nests around the outdoor areas.None of these issues took away from our overall experience. We had a great time, really enjoyed the property, and would absolutely stay here again!

This place was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our trip! It was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and the communication was excellent throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The house was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and quickly became our favorite features.The owner was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, making our stay even more enjoyable. It was clear that great care has been taken to provide guests with all the amenities needed for a memorable experience.We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely book this house again!

The kitchen was fairly well stocked with utensils. We weren't fully aware of what was available so we brought most of what we needed. Apparently we weren't supposed to go into a supply closet to get towels. It was not marked private or locked so we thought we had access. Sorry for that. All we used from there was towels. We did not use the pool. Parking was limited. The place overall was nice and we would stay there again now that we know the situation. Most people that go to lake fork go to fish. They need a place to park their boats.

This property is in a beautiful setting. The house was very nice and clean, and along with the bunkhouse, effectively met our family’s needs. The kitchen was well stocked. Our family really enjoyed the pool.We feel, however, that the property description was somewhat misleading. It is described as a “lakeside getaway”, “steps to Lake Fork”, and “On the water: Lake Fork (walking distance)”. The closest walk to Lake Fork is not a short distance, and it is down a busy road with no shoulder most of the way, and when you get to the lake from that walk, there’s no lake access.More attention is needed to the outside of the house. The porches’ lights and fans, patios, and around the pool deck are covered with cobwebs and dirt. In addition, we were never able to get the large TV in the living area (with the leather couch and recliners) to work.
