The little cabin was very clean. I requested no strong smells due to allergies and there was none. My husband is a large tall man and had a little challenge in the small shower. A slide bar for the shower head/wand would have alleviated that. Pricing was affordable. There was a kayak and a canoe for our use, they also had life vests. The entire neighborhood was quiet, the lake was quiet. Was a perfect 4 day stay for a getaway!

We were just taking a short 4 day get away. More about the pets than people. They loved the water access right off the back yard. Nice sized deck at back of house. Lot of dock diving and swimming were had. Gated community don’t think we saw a single person the whole time we were there.

We came up for my 30th to have quiet mornings on the lake and make smores over the fire at night. It was very cute and cozy! We brought a yoga mat to sit on the dock and it was the best idea! The neighbors are quiet and the lake is serene. The canoes has to be de-spidered but that’s part of the charm! We made all our meals and had no trouble. My best suggestion there Is to bring a pitcher or something to cook in. Meagan was an amazing host and we really loved it!

This property is great because if you are a fisherman there are many ponds to fish. Quiet and gated community which makes it safe to walk and hike in the woods. We really enjoyed being in the water with the canoe and kayak. I would recommend this place for a fun fishing experience.

We were so happy. The cabin was surrounded by giant Oak trees. Sitting on the deck looking up at them is awesome, and we were looking at a private pier on a beautiful lake. We saw lots of waterfowl and just enjoyed it all. One note though. When my dog and I went to the end of our driveway to get the trash cans we were aggressively approached by 2 pit bull dogs. A white one; and a black one. I was able to separate them from my dog; but the black pit aggressively approached me. I just walked off. When I returned the trash can to the end of the driveway I did not see them. If this had been my wife I would have shot both dogs. These aggressive dogs are running loose. Other than that we loved our stay. Hopefully we will see y’all again.

It was nice and quiet, relaxing by fire in the fire pit, We had wrong code to get in gate but that was resolved pretty quick , like 4 min. Trails fun to walk every morning. Fished a little nothing biting was a little chilly 1 st day

We are seniors and have been married 47 yrs. Our 3 & 4 yr old grandsons stayed with us 1 night of the 7. Everything we needed was here. We thoroughly enjoyed the canoe. Fishing was great. Very cozy cottage! Enjoyed just sitting on the dock and the deck. My grandsons asked if we could come back here on the next trip.

It was a great getaway. The community was so quiet and the location was perfect for everything we needed or wanted. The lakehouse was very quaint and very clean. My husband fished, our beagle strolled the property and I rested. Everything mentioned in details are spot on, with great communications. Hope to be back again.

It’s was great. There was a few things I noticed that weren’t as great like I noticed the towels had hairs and they had packages we had to keep bringing in. The cleaning was want a great.

Had a daddy and daughter weekend getaway with my buddy and this place was perfect. Quiet and peaceful. The house was what we expected. Cozy, just the right size for four person and our fur ball. The small lake was full of fish. Did a lot of fishing and Kayaking. The host Ajai is very communicative with direction and checkin. Would definitely stay here again. Just one issue with cleaning. We got there and the grill was not clean ( get a gas grill) and many bugs was in the house when we got there in bedroom. I know we are in the woods but maybe ask the cleaners to clean more. Overall no major complaints.

All as advertised. Quiet, secluded, clean with extras. Canada goose pair on the pond and coyotes howling at night. Short drive to Winnsboro to a Brookshire’s if you forgot anything. Wish we would have stayed longer.

Fantastic area and lake view. Run down, not well cared for, needs site maintenance and upgrades. Drove 3.5 hours to get there, spiders, old uncomfortable furniture, missing decor, repairs needed through out. Very disappointed, left the next morning.

It rained most of the time we were there so a covered porch would have been awesome BUT the big sliding glass door provided the most perfect view of the pond and the trees. It was peaceful.

Very quiet, safe and peaceful pond community. The owner communicated with us before and after our stay which was nice. The house itself is older and needs to pretty much be updated all throughout. Futon couch in living room is not comfortable longer than an hour or so on your back, older chairs in house and various walls and items in house “patched up” instead of replaced/repaired. Beds were comfortable although we thought main room would have king bed, but it was a queen. Both air conditioning units produced bad/odd smells when blowing our air and need replacing. If you’re mainly looking at being outside most of the time you’d be fine to rent here…past reviews didn’t warn us. Back yard backs up to pond and deck with large trees that shade the area. Beware of futon…you can slide right out of it! Back yard could be tidied up as well, had tree branches piled up and some chairs etc. random places and junk under house deck area. We aren’t outside/lake people so most likely wouldn’t stay here again unless home was fully renovated. Hope you enjoy your stay if you choose this house.

We had a wonderful time at the property. The living space was great and the outdoor even better! It was quiet and relaxing and the views were beautiful! We took some prepped food with us, although there is a brookshires about 15 min away. There is some walking available although the labeled trails seemed to be overgrown so we just walked around the neighborhood. We did not have any issues and would love to come back! Thank you!

It was a quiet spot. Only two issues prevented a 5 stars rating. The listing should mention that the pond is catch and release only. We didn’t find that out until we read the additional listed info on the frig. We probably wouldn’t have booked and my husband was disappointed. We did end up going 20 minutes away to state park to fish. Also, bedroom sliding door left a gap when close. Assuming due to foundation shifting which you can tell from the sloping within, but we had to stuff a towel between door and frame to keep the gnats from getting in. We brought a bug zapper so was able to get rid of most. Overall, we enjoyed our break away from the busiest of our day to day.

The views from the cabin were amazing! We had a very restful stay. We took our 11 year old son and dog. The cabin was super spacious, had everything we needed, and was located right on the water. We loved everything about our stay and would love to go back!

Our stay was great. The place was clean, and communication with the host was good. The first phone number provided did not pick up calls, but the other number was the gentleman- he was available for emails and calls with questions. The only con is that the exact house number was not provided. They do provide instructions but adding the exact house number will be easier for other guests. Also, exiting was hard as the code did not work, a resident had to open the gate for us. So a clear exit gate code will be great. Overall, great stay and would recommend.

My family and fur babies had the best time. Was exactly as advertised. Very quiet and peaceful. Great place to unplug. Communication with Meagan was great, she responded immediately with all my questions. The cabin was clean and enjoyed that the cabin kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked with all our needs. Everything was as expected. We recommend if you want to disconnect from the everyday hustle and bustle check this place out. Hope to be back soon!

The small lake was full of fish. Did a lot of fishing and Kayaking. The host Ajai is very communicative with direction and checkin. Would definitely stay here again. Just one issue with cleaning. We got there and the grill was not clean ( get a gas grill) and many bugs was in the house when we got there in bedroom. I know we are in the woods but maybe ask the cleaners to clean more. Overall no major complaints.

We came up for my 30th to have quiet mornings on the lake and make smores over the fire at night. It was very cute and cozy! We brought a yoga mat to sit on the dock and it was the best idea! The neighbors are quiet and the lake is serene. The canoes has to be de-spidered but that’s part of the charm! We made all our meals and had no trouble. My best suggestion there Is to bring a pitcher or something to cook in. Meagan was an amazing host and we really loved it!

It was nice and quiet, relaxing by fire in the fire pit, We had wrong code to get in gate but that was resolved pretty quick , like 4 min. Trails fun to walk every morning. Fished a little nothing biting was a little chilly 1 st day

It was a great getaway. The community was so quiet and the location was perfect for everything we needed or wanted. The lakehouse was very quaint and very clean. My husband fished, our beagle strolled the property and I rested. Everything mentioned in details are spot on, with great communications. Hope to be back again.

We were just taking a short 4 day get away. More about the pets than people. They loved the water access right off the back yard. Nice sized deck at back of house. Lot of dock diving and swimming were had. Gated community don’t think we saw a single person the whole time we were there.

We had a wonderful time at the property. The living space was great and the outdoor even better! It was quiet and relaxing and the views were beautiful! We took some prepped food with us, although there is a brookshires about 15 min away. There is some walking available although the labeled trails seemed to be overgrown so we just walked around the neighborhood. We did not have any issues and would love to come back! Thank you!

My family and fur babies had the best time. Was exactly as advertised. Very quiet and peaceful. Great place to unplug. Communication with Meagan was great, she responded immediately with all my questions. The cabin was clean and enjoyed that the cabin kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked with all our needs. Everything was as expected. We recommend if you want to disconnect from the everyday hustle and bustle check this place out. Hope to be back soon!

We had a great stay at this cabin. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and this place was just what we were looking for. Quiet, great view and cozy. The water outback is clear but we were disappointed when we couldn't see any fish which made our fishing time dull but this is no fault of the homeowner. My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. I think the only one who enjoyed the stay more than us was our dog. The only thing I personally would recommended is to bring your own food to cook. All restaurants are pretty far from the location but honestly we didn’t mind staying. It was very comforting and there was always something to do. Minor concerns: The kitchen drawers would tend to fall out of place and the power did go out during rain.

We had a really great and relaxing time during our stay. Would definitely recommend this cute and cozy house for a weekend getaway. The only things we would change is some upgrades to pots & pans and heat in the bedroom.

The neighbor was extremely nosy… And I feel like the ad listing should list rules such as burn band or no burning however, that was not disclosed, and there was a fire pit there. They should’ve also disclosed that we could not have visitors as well.

Excellent host. Great communication.Firm mattress. Great sleep. Quiet property but occasionally brief traffic noise. Great little lake. Good fishing. Fun kayak. Scenic. Water, pines and deciduous trees. Canadian geese, ducks, blue dragon flies, loud crickets, quiet neighbors. Good firepit some wood, chairs wired together but some movement. Ok. Now for the not so great. Cabin ok for fishermen but not great for spouse.Two tiny tvs, had to move one off fireplace to be able to watch, but did have programming. Not essential. Small kitchen with poor lighting. Creaky uneven floors. No bedroom closet. Bathroom terrible. Fixtures in shower slid around, not secure. Not enough space for normal personal items. Huge exposed water heater tank, low toilet seat. Worst part of my stay. Good coffee maker with coffee. My opinion, ok fishing cabin. Great outdoor features, sad cabin features.
