Beautiful Lake Area Home, Gas Grill - Close to Downtown Florence & Dunes

The view from the house is beautiful, though there is no access to the lake. The master bedroom on the ground floor shares a bathroom with the bonus room. The lower level of the house felt cold, and we couldn't turn up the heat because the thermostat was programmed. We spoke to the managers on the second night, but they didn't resolve the heating issue upstairs, where the other two bedrooms are located. There is also a bedroom—likely the actual master bedroom—that is inaccessible; we didn't like that.

Hot tub didn't ever heat up, the lady was suppose to come over and look at / fix. The house is beautiful.

There was a bit of confusion at arrival as the house number on the mailbox did not match what we were given, and we didn’t immediately figure out the shared driveway situation. We had planned to make pizza the fist night so it was quite a surprise to find out that the oven was not working. Some of the furniture has seen better days including one of of the upstairs beds. Given all that it is a very nice house, much bigger than the photos show. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. And deer and rabbits visit daily.

We stayed for 3 nights. Pros: Location- quiet area, lots of privacy & beautiful views; home had lots of space-we didn't feel like we were on top of each other; big kitchen; plenty of supplies like paper towelsCons: We didn't use the hot tub because it was dirty (which was one of the reasons we chose this VRBO); the oven door was still broken (I had read a prior review that it was broken-apparently they hadn't fixed it yet); gas fireplace didn't work; mattresses were not very comfortable; living room furniture was worn & not as comfortable as it probably was when new; our bedroom floor was obviously not swept; our bathroom shower was missing a shower curtain liner-we had to go buy one. I wish the listing specified that the primary suite of the home is unavailable to renters. They have a sign in the house that asks you to treat the home/act as if you lived there. I wish they maintained it as if they lived there. Overall, I would not book here again.
