The property was exactly as described. The location was private and peaceful, surrounded by acres of woods and a pretty stream. Beautiful wrap around outdoor deck with views of the property. The kitchen was well stocked and all of the appliances worked well. The bedrooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels were provided. Our dog loved running around the property and taking a dip in the stream. There is a self starting charcoal grill on the deck which functioned well. Everything about our stay was positive except for the lack of an outdoor dining table and umbrella on the deck. The indoor dining area was spacious but it would have been nice to have the option to eat outdoors.

We loved this place. We like to be outdoors and go camping so this is right up our alley. The house is rustic and fabulous. We loved listening to albums on the victrola. The house was very clean and well stocked. It had everything needed for a getaway. My husband really loved the newly strung and in-tune guitar. It was quiet and secluded. We loved the deck and fire pit. If you want to get away and enjoy nature, this is the place. We will certainly come back.

The property was exactly what we needed to escape the city and celebrate our Anniversary! There were so many great features from the fire pit and BBQ, to an assortment of card and board games, and a huge smart TV to keep up with our shows! The rooms were so comfy and stunning views! We saw deer every morning while drinking coffee on the deck! Can't wait to revisit! Definitely recommend!!!

My friends and I stayed at this perfect woodsy retreat for my 28th birthday and had so much fun. The kitchen is perfect for cooking big meals and everything you need is available. It was cozy and warm for our winter stay, but I look forward to booking again in the spring and summer. Chris is an excellent host and was very communicative!

Upon arrival we noticed that our host had arranged the perfect number of chairs around the most wonderful fire pit. When we entered the beautiful hand built house we were greeted with a cheery environment; there was fabulous music, paintings, artwork and books. There was a closet full of games and art supplies. The kitchen was fully stocked and the barbecue grill ready to go. Our host even had a tie-line ready for us to let our dog out. Every corner of the house was comfortable, clean and inviting. A very short distance away the stream was flowing and we could hear the beautiful sound from the deck and the open windows. We saw deer, squirrels, super cool snakes and spiders on the property that made our time outside so much more enjoyable. We were escaping, even for just a few days, an environment of stress and trauma and we found serenity and comfort. Every picture and description provided was accurate. The host provided us with a brief history of the property, a wonderful list of things to do in the area and a comprehensive house manual. Chris Talbot is quite literally the most gracious host we have ever encountered and will be forever grateful.

We arrived to a cozy cabin with large decks, an outdoor fire spot, lovely rock walls and boulders scattered about. Pet friendly!!! Rustic charm with state of the art appliances!! So refreshing. Lovely area to adventure. Thank you Chris!

Perfect weekend getaway for a family of five with two fur babies. We had excellent communication with the host before and during our stay. The house was fully equipped with a kitchen to prepare all meals, plenty of linens, and a plethora of activities to keep the kids engaged while indoors. The house is situated on a fantastic property for hiking; there's plenty of acreage to enjoy and for our dogs to roam easily. We loved exploring the foliage and made it a mission to find as many adorable figurines on the property as we could. The kids were ecstatic to make s’mores over the fire pit on our final night. The host also provided excellent resources for activities in neighboring towns, but we wanted a slow weekend to enjoy the home and property. This truly was the escape we needed from the city, and we can’t wait to book another stay in the future!

The host was incredibly responsive and checked in to make sure we would have everything we needed before we got there. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed, above and beyond most rentals we've stayed at. The house was beautifully decorated, warm and full of great books, music and games. The beds were incredibly comfortable, again, much more so than most rentals! The property was beautiful with a little creek that our kids loved and a fire pit to make smores. The house is so close to downtown Narrowsburg and Calicoon. We had a wonderful time and appreciated that the house had everything we could think of and more. We had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend!

We loved sitting at the fire pit at night and enjoying morning coffee on the deck. Our doggy had the best time of all, she loved exploring the wooded areas and the stream rocks! Inside was rad too, loved the vibes of records, VHS and cassettes tapes! The house had everything we needed and the smart fridge was a fave for us! If you want a place to unwind and take it slow or you have an outdoorsy pup joining you on your trip, this place is great! Chris was also super responsive and easy to communicate with. He had a great guide to local stores and shopping (we used it daily), as well as a great guide to the house itself. He was awesome! We will for sure be coming back.

We loved our family getaway. The house was very clean and felt like home. The location was convenient for the things we wanted to do. Kids loved exploring and adults loved relaxing on the deck. Wish it was closer to Texas so we didn’t have to drive so far! Great family vacation with grands.

We were in the area for a concert at Bethelwoods and wished we could have stayed longer! The house had everything from comfy beds to toys for the kids and an amazing property to explore. It was clean, quiet and conveniently located. Chris the owner was great and responded quickly to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Our Thanksgiving celebration at Chris’s cozy and delightful cabin gave us even more to be thankful for. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well equipped for cooking up a festive feast. The nearby stream was both beautiful to look at and soothing to listen to. Beds were comfortable and the woodsy ambiance was exactly what we hoped for and needed. Overall, a great experience!

We vacationed with intentions to stay at the house for the entire span of our visit. The House is very clean and functional, with all the appliances, cooking tools, great layout, fast internet/wifi and entertainment bits you need to just... stay at the house! Aside from what the house has to offer, exploring the woods and noting any wildlife passing through is pleasant, can you find all the hidden items along the stream gulley? If 'getting away from it all' is basically doing nothing but relaxing, eating, reading, wandering and napping, I'm all in. A great spot for your next 'what do you want to do, nothing??' getaway

Beautiful winter time scene from the large windows . Warm and relaxing. Place was clean upon arrival. Coffee maker works!!! Chris is a very responsive host. Plenty of games and music on site. Couch is for slumbering. So comfortable. Highly recommend. Winter or summer.

This cabin is a perfect weekend get-a-way! The host was extremely communicative and helpful. The home was spacious, clean and a perfect spot to get away from it all. The property is wooded with walking trails where our dogs had a blast!! Quiet and secluded - yet a short drive to anything you need. We can't wait to book again :)

My wife, and I stayed here for a long weekend over Xmas. Everything in the house was as advertised on the VRBO posting. The kitchen is well supplied and the house is well heated for the winter. The bed is very comfortable. There is some nice hiking nearby. We both enjoyed the stay as did our dog.

Everything was perfect. It was so good to get away from the city. This place contributed a lot to this. Everything was complete as on the website. The kitchen had everything in abundance. The seating groups were perfect. The television section was great and we enjoyed 3 nights of movies. The beds were great and everywhere was clean. There are no words to say about nature, it is magnificent. We had a great time playing games at home with my two sons and my wife. We would like to come again. We also thank Chris for his help.

Three friends were in the area for a concert at Bethel Woods. Chris' house was a perfect location for the music venue and exploring the Narrowsburg area. Many good local food options. Don't miss the Pumphouse around the corner on 97. Chris excels at communication. It was a great weekend, and I think we'll be back. Thanks!

Upon arrival we noticed that our host had arranged the perfect number of chairs around the most wonderful fire pit. When we entered the beautiful hand built house we were greeted with a cheery environment; there was fabulous music, paintings, artwork and books. There was a closet full of games and art supplies. The kitchen was fully stocked and the barbecue grill ready to go. Our host even had a tie-line ready for us to let our dog out. Every corner of the house was comfortable, clean and inviting. A very short distance away the stream was flowing and we could hear the beautiful sound from the deck and the open windows. We saw deer, squirrels, super cool snakes and spiders on the property that made our time outside so much more enjoyable. We were escaping, even for just a few days, an environment of stress and trauma and we found serenity and comfort. Every picture and description provided was accurate. The host provided us with a brief history of the property, a wonderful list of things to do in the area and a comprehensive house manual. Chris Talbot is quite literally the most gracious host we have ever encountered and will be forever grateful.

Beautiful winter time scene from the large windows . Warm and relaxing. Place was clean upon arrival. Coffee maker works!!! Chris is a very responsive host. Plenty of games and music on site. Couch is for slumbering. So comfortable. Highly recommend. Winter or summer.

This cabin is a perfect weekend get-a-way! The host was extremely communicative and helpful. The home was spacious, clean and a perfect spot to get away from it all. The property is wooded with walking trails where our dogs had a blast!! Quiet and secluded - yet a short drive to anything you need. We can't wait to book again :)

Perfect weekend getaway for a family of five with two fur babies. We had excellent communication with the host before and during our stay. The house was fully equipped with a kitchen to prepare all meals, plenty of linens, and a plethora of activities to keep the kids engaged while indoors. The house is situated on a fantastic property for hiking; there's plenty of acreage to enjoy and for our dogs to roam easily. We loved exploring the foliage and made it a mission to find as many adorable figurines on the property as we could. The kids were ecstatic to make s’mores over the fire pit on our final night. The host also provided excellent resources for activities in neighboring towns, but we wanted a slow weekend to enjoy the home and property. The host was incredibly responsive and checked in to make sure we would have everything we needed before we got there. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed, above and beyond most rentals we've stayed at. The house was beautifully decorated, warm and full of great books, music and games. The beds were incredibly comfortable, again, much more so than most rentals! The property was beautiful with a little creek that our kids loved and a fire pit to make smores. The home and property are very nice. It's somewhat secluded but in a great location - near the Delaware River and close to some very nice small towns. The house is very pleasant and comfortable. The owner is very nice to deal with. We would stay here again.

The property was exactly as described. The location was private and peaceful, surrounded by acres of woods and a pretty stream. Beautiful wrap around outdoor deck with views of the property. The kitchen was well stocked and all of the appliances worked well. The bedrooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels were provided. Our dog loved running around the property and taking a dip in the stream. There is a self starting charcoal grill on the deck which functioned well. Everything about our stay was positive except for the lack of an outdoor dining table and umbrella on the deck. The indoor dining area was spacious but it would have been nice to have the option to eat outdoors.

We had wonderful time here! The house is very cozy, with enough space to sleep as well as to cook and gather together for dinner and activities at the big table. Outdoor deck and fire pit in front of the house extend the space for activities. The stream running through the property is a true gem! It’s soft rumble is heard even from the house. The property is in the woods but in close proximity to the towns and “civilization”. Overall highly recommend.

We travelled with our one year old, and found the place well set up for traveling with a baby. The downstairs bedroom has curtains, and was dark enough for nap time. The house came equipped with a pack and play, as well as a booster seat style high chair that has a tray attachment. The backyard was great for the little one to play. The house itself was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with many comfortable details. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the physical media available. It made it very easy to unplug. The surrounding woods were pristine, we were treated to deer sightings and a clear view of the stars. it is the perfect setting for a relaxing escape!

My friends and I stayed at this perfect woodsy retreat for my 28th birthday and had so much fun. The kitchen is perfect for cooking big meals and everything you need is available. The House is very clean and functional, with all the appliances, cooking tools, great layout, fast internet/wifi and entertainment bits you need to just... stay at the house! Aside from what the house has to offer, exploring the woods and noting any wildlife passing through is pleasant, can you find all the hidden items along the stream gulley? If 'getting away from it all' is basically doing nothing but relaxing, eating, reading, wandering and napping, I'm all in. A great spot for your next 'what do you want to do, nothing??' getaway

We enjoyed the selection of records and cassettes, The smart fridge’s water filter and ice are not necessary for a stay in the woods but was a nice touch. When it comes to location, everything seems about 15 away and easy to get to. The owner responds quickly…there really is nothing bad to say about this home. Thank you for shairing it with us!

My wife, and I stayed here for a long weekend over Xmas. Everything in the house was as advertised on the VRBO posting. The kitchen is well supplied and the house is well heated for the winter. The bed is very comfortable. There is some nice hiking nearby. We both enjoyed the stay as did our dog.
