Rooms are accurate to the photos and work well for families, with a deck adding extra space for relaxing. Recurring downsides are few, though a couple of guests reported finicky door locks; isolated notes mention a prior cleaning oversight and a broken Keurig. Overall, expect a comfortable, well-organized base suited to families.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. We traveled to NC to celebrate our son's 5th birthday at the museum of life and science and the property was only 11 minutes away from the venue which was perfect. Check in was easy and it was spacious enough to accommodate our family. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck sharing laughs with our family. Thank you so much Richard for making our trip amazing.

Great place for a weekend stay for a wedding. Had everything that we needed. Check in and check out process was easy. Had a bit of trouble with the lock on the back, but figured it out with the detailed directions. Would stay here again

The house was perfect for our needs. The only issue (not a complaint) is the Keurig didn't work. We found the french press to be better for us anyway. And the door would not lock when we left. We followed directions and tried multiple times.

This place is exactly as advertised. We stayed for a baseball showcase and it was perfect for our family. It had all the amenities you would need and if anything is forgotten I am sure the host thought of it and you can find it at the house. The welcome snack basket was a huge hit with my kids! The beds were comfy, rooms were clean, more than enough space for a family of 4, and private! Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Great home away from home. Being able to cook breakfast for my Champs! before a long day of Duke Basketball camp was great. Centrally located to everything you may need. We ate out a few days, did a Wal-Mart run and worried about nothing. Richard checked in with us to ensure us he was available but we didnt need anything. The house was fully prepared with backup everything you can think of. Each kid had their own room with TV to retreat to and unwind in their own way, which helps this parent's peace of mind. Would definitely stay again without a doubt. And will check for next year's camp week unless we need more rooms.

He also thought of everything that I may have forgotten such as razors, toothbrushes, and body wash. The fridge had some stuff as well. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends and family.

I was in town to support family for a serious hospital stay and needed somewhere close to Duke hospital that could also accommodate a family of 6. This location and property was perfect. As kids are not allowed to visit ICU patients, I felt secure, leaving them at the house. Richard made my stay easy and was a wonderful host. The extra care he took to make us feel welcome….so appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay! The pictures were spot on, and the home had everything we needed—and then some. Honestly, it’s one of the best-stocked homes I’ve ever stayed in. From kitchenware to bathroom toiletries, everything was thoughtfully provided. Also, a fun bonus: there’s a rooster across the street who takes his wake-up duties very seriously. Who needs an alarm clock when you've got a feathery neighbor on sunrise patrol?

Prime location to get to and from Duke University. Neighbors were kind and waved when we were outside.
