Loved the buffet and pools. The beach was sandy, lots of chairs, a bar, and an ocean pool which was great for the little kids to play in and it also had swings. The staff were so friendly and they had a full gym set up.

Resort is great. Can tell it’s older, but every single day someone was working on maintenance things like painting, etc. Great to see. Family Selection side was totally worth the upgrade. The pool was so much quieter and access to The Nest made meal times calm and relaxed as opposed to trying to get to the buffet before a rush. Elioot was one of our butlers and was fantastic. Having the Butlers book al la carte restaurants meant we had one booked every night we were there. Japanese and Mexican were highlights. Mexican was my kids favorite as they made fresh guacamole right at your table. Kids club activities weren’t communicated about well at all but the activities themselves and the team were great. We had a safety incident with a hairdryer without a proper guard catching and pulling out hair and overall their reaction/response to it was good. They comped us 2 passes to the hydrotherapy circuit at the spa. I would not recommend paying for this as the experience wouldn’t be worth the cost. There were also massive numbers of bees coming out of the drains at the spa pool and no one seemed to be dealing with them. The performers at the evening shows were very talented. Would recommend this resort for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. Be prepared for a workout. Built into the side of a cliff, it is not flat and there are no elevators. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, especially at Portofino and Internatuonal. Reservatuins were difficult to get with our group of 10 which was disappointing. Even if we could get a reservation for the entire group, we were unable to sit together which was even more disappointing. Portofino made an exception for our "after wedding dinner." We were able to push two tables together for eating at the buffet. The wedding was beautifully planned and executed. Again because we were a small group, my daughter and future son-in- law were unable to use their balcony of choice but, it was still very nice. The other thing was transportation. It was not provided from/to the airport since we booked through Expedia rather than the resort travel club. Not a big deal but taxis were pretty pricey...$80US for my husband and I which we expected. My other daughter and her spouse did book through the resort but were not told of the resort transportation service until their departure. They paid $145US for their taxi to the resort. Live and learn. Still it was an enjoyable week.

I enjoyed the property, especially the forest, the beach area, the views, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. That was my favorite part of the stay. The food options were fine, though not outstanding. One thing I did not like was that the restaurants had no air conditioning, so every meal was uncomfortably hot and I was sweating heavily. This made dining there inconvenient.

Everyone was so friendly. The resort felt large enough you weren’t on top of each other but small enough things were close. Lots of food options for our picky child. The only thing I would look at fixing was the LOUD sound during the performances. We only went to one because the mic and speakers were so loud it hurt our ears too much. The kids went to the kids club and had a blast. It was super well organized. The pools were huge, but big enough. Loved that the kids pool area was slightly cooler so you could wade your legs in and not get fully wet. It would have been nice to grab snack options on off hours from the buffet or restaurants but on the second day we just grabbed some snacks from the buffet to eat at the pool.

It was very nice vacation. Clean room. I was pleasantly impressed with food choices nice beach area, you can swim in the ocean, if waves are not aggressive, lots of surfers. However, not enough chairs on the beach. Cecilia, the concierge is very helpful and responsive on WhatsApp. Our safe didn’t work. It was fixed right away. Ricardo at the breakfast buffet, the server, was exceptional, no need to wait for coffee. It was crowded, it’s recommended to go to buffet early if you don’t want to wait in line to be seated, or have easy access to food choices. The property has beautiful jungle setting and beach cliffs. It was a perfect choice for our short vacation.

Overall it was a good stay. Property could use some upkeep. The gardens were dusty from construction next door. The pools did not feel clean. The property needed better signage/directory to get to places. Staff overall were nice but we noticed a change when we wouldn’t accept a discussion on their travel club program. Right away they hit us up on this and after a long day of travel that was the last thing we wanted. They rushed our greeting/explanation of amenities so found ourselves guessing the entire time. Food could be better, I wanted more authentic Mexican food. I get they want to provide a luxurious experience but as an American I want to experience Mexican culture. Once we turned downed the travel club we were never offered any type of experience or excursions. Nightly entertainment is great and the area where it’s set up is great, lots of seating and kids entertainment was fun and age appropriate!

Resort is extremely old and run down, smells like sewage in the rooms, beds are uncomfortable and small. A/C is either non-existing in restaurants or broken. They have loud music playing until very late hours which could be heard inside our room. Food is not bad but not much selection. The worst experience for us is the departure, we booked a shuttle for 12pm and then by 12:30pm (after being told it’s coming) they told us there’s no shuttle or taxi coming for us. Place was a gong show and very disorganized, almost made us miss our flight back. We have stayed in many resorts for the same or less pricing that are much better.

Besides a great view of their beach, the resort needs an overall corrections! Some of their restaurants roofs were leaking when rain was coming! The pedestrian passages thru the buildings and outsides were dirty and their ambience filled with bad smell! The given bedrooms were not cleaned thoroughly. We didn’t feel comfortable living in them. The variety of food selections were very limited and the taste and quality of foods were very poor. And because of its distance from city and lack of souvenirs stores, we had a hard time going anywhere to roam around. And finally, travelling to the purchased attractions and back were separate from their cost of expensive attractions! we’re not going back!

We recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta de Mita and while the location is beautiful, the overall experience was disappointing. Service was consistently poor—basic requests felt like an inconvenience, and we were never once offered drink service by a waiter. This property is definitely not a 5 star resort, it’s more like a 1 star. Rooms are extremely dirty and outdated, upon our visit our rooms ac went out and staff didn’t seem to care about doing anything about it, power kept going off, flooding in rooms, dirty bathrooms(kind of disgusted by the conditions of this resort) and food, food was inedible- buffet had more flies on all food than you can imagine and room service was definitely the worst I’ve ever had. Always took 2-3 hours to deliver food and the quality of the food was terrible.

This resort was probably nice when it was first built. It’s a beautiful small beach, but the buildings were all rundown. In need of a of of upkeep. Food was average. Staff was nice. Decks small. We paid for panoramic view and it was partial ocean. You cannot sit on the decks they are so small and if you did you wouldn’t be able to see over the edge. Pillows were lumpy. Bathrooms falling apart. The adult pool was dirty and the music horrible and loud until midnight. Too much when your room faces that way. Main pool was nice. Staff was nice.

The king size bed in our room was busted! lol seriously, my side of the mattress was broken so I would constantly want to slide on to the floor. Room smelled of pet dander at first. Overall, our family, and group of 11 total had a good time. The food at all of the a la carte restaurants was fantastic. The Bamboo Japanese restaurant I could have eaten at every night. The pools were good, but the activities that were scheduled for kids were often late or didn’t happen at all. The rooms were okay, our A/C didn’t really work and was never fixed, our room was missed for cleaning once, and the toilet ran non stop which was loud. I attempted to order room service one night and it just never showed up which was disappointing. Obviously we didn’t spend a lot of time in the rooms but they definitely need some work. The bartending staff was great and made delicious drinks for both adults and kids. Beach access was easy and lots of activities there like body boarding and surfing. It was a good place but not one that I’m going to book repeatedly.

Our stay was good overall but we really didn’t find the food at some of the restaurants very flavourful. I was disappointed with the Bamboo, Italian and the Mexican. There were some good things on each menu but nothing that would make us want to return. The service and the staff were excellent at the resort and we had no complaints with how friendly and welcoming they were. The Nest & the International were our favourites but sometimes the food was inconsistent and not always hot. Drinks were good but I found the bar ran out of certain things often & we would have to order something else. Also, the coffee bar in the Family Selection only opened at 11 am and there were no instructions on how to use the equipment so we never went back. The resort was a good size for our family and we enjoyed the spa and my kids loved having room service. The rooms were a good size but a little outdated and with 2 teenagers the pull out bed was too small. I had asked our Expedia rep about options and the manager was supposed to contact me but that never happened. For these reasons we would likely not return to this resort.

Dont book here. horrible hotel and experience. they charged us extra at the front desk and charged our daughter as an adult when we had already prepaid the reservation. They also moved us out of our beachfront room to a side sea view and gave no refund. beach was dirty, wedding guests everywhere and music was so loud all night from 2 separate weddings. never returning.

Friendly staff and awesome bartenders.. the butlers were very nice and helpful.. Elias and Luis at lobby bar on family side were very knowledgeable! This property is beautiful BUT limited AC in certain areas only.. most restaurants and buffets didn’t have AC 😳 food was ok at both restaurants and buffets.. drinks were on point.. nice swimmable and walkable beach, but pools were warm and very packed with families.. not enough entertainment for older teenagers and sports bar had alot with small kids ..adult pool was nice but far walk..the timeshare people at check in lobby were a bit aggressive but we finally quit talking to them.. valet service guys were nice and fast!

Great hotel has everything you need. High end restaurants but you don’t have to worry about the bill. I enjoyed all restaurants. Great atmosphere, family oriented. My concierge was Eliutt he was great. He made our stay very enjoyable and we were very happy. We were treated with kindness. I have visited different all inclusive hotels some a little more expensive and others less expensive but this one is the best of all. The concierge’s supervisor was very beginning. They even let you enjoy installations before they have your room ready and you can also check out late, enjoying all the amenities and your luggage can stay in the lobby. I recommend the family selection you won’t regret.

We had an amazing time ! There’s lots to do on this beautiful property. The nightly entertainment was great. Food and drinks were really good. The kids didn’t want to leave.. they had a lot of fun in the pool, beach and the kids club.What really elevated our experience and what will bring us back - was the staff ! My last time here was in September. I gave a 5 star review. This trip was full of disappointments and more expensive. Most of the staff tried hard to help with issues but the system in place needs organization! 1- We had to request the champagne provided by Expedia 5 times before it finally arrived hot in a bucket with no ice on the last day. 2- It was impossible to make dinner reservations.They send you to an app and all restaurants were booked our entire stay. Reservations close at 3 pm. Finally we speak to someone who makes us a reservation and she made it for the wrong day and time she told us. We missed the reservation.We were told to call guest services between 8-11 am to fix this. I called several times. Nobody answers. Instead of sleeping in, I was doing this. I called 0 and they told me to go meet them in person. It was 8am. No thanks! 3- Thankfully we paid extra to upgrade to Family Selection dining. We enjoyed The Nest for almost every meal since we didn’t want to do the buffet and it was our only option. 4. The Butler at Family selection was very rude. We were told to meet him to eat at the Nest. He was clueless. I explained in Spanish what I was told. He said well it seems like you know everything so just go over there! He was nasty. I just walked away. 5-Last day, running late to airport, we were told to wait for help with luggage. Nobody showed up. So we carried our own luggage through long walkways. Beautiful Property. Great Entertainment.

Booked my trip and then when I got there, they told me the only way to go to some of the restaurants was to purchase the higher package and then they didn’t get our reservations done but allowed us to go to the restaurants as long as we were gonna buy champagne or lobster even though the tables weren’t full. Complete scam and then had people try to corner you with a timeshare type program offering 300.00 towards towards hotel services however I booked massages and got the price and then as soon as I told him I was using my bucks they raise the price so you’re just paying for it anyway ridiculousness

This was our second visit to the property and we likely wont return, particularly during spring break. Rental shop on water wasn't staffed effectively and we weren't able to access surf boards as we had hoped because staff were doing sailing trips. Classic issues getting pool or beach chairs after 9 a.m. (people dropping towels but not using them). Didn't appreciate the pushy sales approach for Palladium Rewards / other Palladium membership -- left a negative impression on us.

Staff was wonderful and the food was great. A very secluded property and could not walk far on the beach due to the rocks. Wonderful to see the whales from the beach and pool. The meal we opted for, for listening to a presentation was not as described unfortunately. We were given a room with two double beds and when asked for a King bed, said we would have to pay 32 US a night when other guests we spoke to were able to no charge. They do not have American. Change at all at the front desk. The waiters were able to accommodate.

Loved the resort layout and food options. The buffet was wonderful. We liked most of the a la carte, it depends on what you order. Funny enough the Italian one was just ok, in my opinion. Staff was attentive, busy at times. Rooms fine. We had a nice ocean view. While there, we were side swiped by a hurricane, brought some large waves. The resort was fine, as were on a small cliff. Bottom line, I’d go back, however not cheap or easy to get into town if you want to leave resort. Oh and this was the first all inclusive where we had to book and pay for our own transportation there from the airport.

Very friendly staff, although the place is older it is very well maintained and cleaned constantly. It does not feel dated. More of a classic style which is a personal preference.Everything works. Good entertainment, bars and restaurants on site. Excellent wifi that works everywhere around the complex. The property is off the beaten path a bit so there really is nowhere else to go unless you have transportation, not a dealbreaker though. The pools may be considered a bit small but also not a dealbreaker as there are several some only for adults and kiddie pools, the views sure make up for it. Nice little beach also with a safe kiddie area. There’s a good surf break right in front of the property. Many whales frolicking not too far out!

Everyone was so friendly. I loved the resort and the feel of the resort. It was clean. It is a little tired looking, especially in the bathrooms, and we did have a problem with brown water for a few hours one day, but overall, a decent place. If I could suggest one thing that was an inconvenience, the location. Mostly because UBER will not come pick you up because it is too far away. You had to rely on Taxis which were 50 dollars each way if you wanted to go to Puerto Vallarta. I wish the resort had better transportation to and from the airport and to and from Puerto Vallarta. Maybe an hourly shuttle service?

The beach is a spectacular little oasis of sand, shallow clear waters, and at one end you will find fantastic waves for surf or boogie board. You can walk to the south beach for 1 km.to get excercise. There are many palapas that provide shade and several comfy loungers. There is now a pickle ball court that we found well maintained. Loved the resort layout and food options. The buffet was wonderful. We liked most of the a la carte, it depends on what you order. Funny enough the Italian one was just ok, in my opinion. Staff was attentive, busy at times. Rooms fine. We had a nice ocean view. While there, we were side swiped by a hurricane, brought some large waves. The resort was fine, as were on a small cliff. Bottom line, I’d go back, however not cheap or easy to get into town if you want to leave resort. Oh and this was the first all inclusive where we had to book and pay for our own transportation there from the airport.

The property was extremely well maintained and clean. The property size was ideal and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was friendly and responsive. The food was inconsistent. We found the breakfasts at the buffet very good. The international restaurant and Mexican restaurant had excellent food quality. The Asian restaurant was good. We did not find the food at the Italian restaurant to be of the same overall quality. The buffet at dinner was lacking variety and we preferred many of the items served at lunch over what was there for dinner.

Even it is all inclusive the food was good. Didn't like the reservation process for the restaurant as the app didn't work and coudnt eat were we wanted

This was our 3rd time to this resort. First 2 times were great but this time the food was horrific and the service was terrible. We both got horrendous food poisoning along with a few others we met during our stay. We will not be returning despite our love of the location and the wave out front and will be letting everyone we know how terrible this resort has gotten.

I enjoyed the property, especially the forest, the beach area, the views, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. That was my favorite part of the stay. The food options were fine, though not outstanding. One thing I did not like was that the restaurants had no air conditioning, so every meal was uncomfortably hot and I was sweating heavily. This made dining there inconvenient.

Our stay was good overall but we really didn’t find the food at some of the restaurants very flavourful. I was disappointed with the Bamboo, Italian and the Mexican. There were some good things on each menu but nothing that would make us want to return. The service and the staff were excellent at the resort and we had no complaints with how friendly and welcoming they were. The Nest & the International were our favourites but sometimes the food was inconsistent and not always hot. Drinks were good but I found the bar ran out of certain things often & we would have to order something else. Also, the coffee bar in the Family Selection only opened at 11 am and there were no instructions on how to use the equipment so we never went back. The resort was a good size for our family and we enjoyed the spa and my kids loved having room service. The rooms were a good size but a little outdated and with 2 teenagers the pull out bed was too small. I had asked our Expedia rep about options and the manager was supposed to contact me but that never happened. For these reasons we would likely not return to this resort.

The people who work here make the difference. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food was better than I expected having stayed at other resorts. The Nest in particular was awesome.
