You can walk out of the bar area in the back right on to the beach. On the otherside of the bar is the pool. All facilities are great except for parking. Some times you have to park across the street if near parking is full.

Staff was friendly enough. There is a lot of walking due to the layout of the hotel…and overflow parking is across the street. Breakfast buffet was just ok. The coffee in the room was an absolute no. Starbucks in the lobby saved us. Food in the restaurant was just ok. The bar right on the beach had a great view and actually served the best piña colada that I had while on island. The pool is awesome, but we wished there would have been a hot tub. The room was clean! Our housekeepers did a great job. The bed wasn’t the worst, but wasn’t the best. Our room faced Clayton’s and you could definitely hear music/people getting into and out of their cars/kind of partying in the parking lot.

Housekeeping is a joke. Didn't get to room till after 5 PM. Never restocked just left towels and made bed. No Valet Parking. Had to park across the main road and walk to entrance 1/2 mile plus. I have spent more than 30 days in hotels this pass year and I rate this stay as the worse, especially for the price they charge. Do not stay here.

The main reason for this review is the cleanliness. The room was in a very bad condition upon check in. We arrived late in the evening and I wanted to put the kids to bed right away. It turned out that the bed sheets on one of the beds were not changed. The top looked like someone was sitting on it with dirty shoes. Underneath the sheets were also dirty and with hair. There was also a ball of hair on the floor next to the night stand. The front desk offered to move us to another room but because we were with two little kids and it was late I asked for the bedding to be changed. Someone showed up shortly after with sheets but I had to change them myself. The following days, the only things that seemed to be getting done in the room were the beds, towels exchanged, and trash taken out. The sink or the tub were not being cleaned and the room was not being vacuumed. I have photos that I wish I could attach.

The Courtyard Marriott in South Padre Island has a great location and clean, comfortable rooms, which we appreciated. However, there were a few service issues during our stay. No conditioner or towels were stocked in our room, and even after calling for both, we didn’t receive them. Additionally, there were no pool towels available when we went to swim during our 3 day stay. The property itself is nice, but service consistency could be improved.

When booking with Marriott, you expect a certain level of service/standard. Upon arrival there were issues in the room. It was dirty and not clean. We were a party of 4 and only got towels for 2. Technically we only got 1 because the one towel was disgusting. There was hair left in the bathroom and I purposely left it to see if they cleaned the room. Nope it was there the whole entire stay. I spoke to management, Alvaro. He just yes me to death and I figured things would get better. It only got worse. I literally had to hunt for towels everyday. I purposely would not leave them on the floor to have them changed, but they would take them off the hooks and only leave me 2. It wasn't till checkout the manager Vanessa actually heard me and took care of us. If we only spoke to her sooner because she genuinely went out of her way to make things right.

The hotel is very clean. You can always see staff around the building cleaning. The pool was nice and it was great to be able to walk to the beach. The restaurant next door and in the hotel were great. Breakfast was good. Always great seating and the staff did a great job cleaning the tables. Our room had great space. We will be staying here again in the future. Only downside was the parking lot was always super busy.

This hotel was more than I expected. Our room was large and comfortable. It was very quiet. Bar Louie had decent food. The breakfast that was included was more than adequate. Only thing I regretted Starbucks opened at seven. I’m an early riser. will definitely stay here again.

We had a suite and it was huge and very comfortable. Balcony was very nice but bad view looking over a huge parking lot for Clayton’s Bar. It was fun people watching though. Even though there was music from the bar next door it was quiet in the room. Included buffet was above average and included cook to order omelets.

I had reserved 2 rooms for one room at 3:30 told to come back at 4 no rooms available…second room didn’t get it till 5:30 and was Told they done contact me when a room was available staff was not friendly or helpful didn’t offer anything don’t even say enjoy your stay interaction. Parking for the most part is not available onsite. You have to drive through the lot up to the hotel to see a sign that there is other parking across the street. Now you have to drive back out of the lot behind cars who have stopped to unload or are paused, hoping for a parked car to leave. After finally parking, you have a long walk through that same lot with lots of exhaust fumes from idling cars, but now you get to carry all your luggage. Then there was a long line to check in, and the staff were not too happy.

Reception staff were unwelcoming, inexperienced, and just downright rude. It made my visit from the start a less than stellar experience. The room was excellent and we enjoyed the funny balcony even though it was overlooking a service rooftop. Breakfast is held at the restaurant/bar called Bar Louie. It is an odd choice as it is somewhat dark between the flashing disco lights, so it an interesting journey to find the free coffee. All in all, we are locals, so we are somewhat used to the quirks of the region. We are regular visitors determined to enjoy the island and its beauty.

Dear Marriott Customer Service, My husband and I recently stayed at your hotel (room 348) and were very disappointed. Despite requesting a room with two queen beds for our family, we were given a king bed and a sofa sleeper that creaked all night. The phone in the room didn’t work, and housekeeping didn’t service our room on two days. The staff, including the manager, showed little empathy or willingness to help. Additionally, the hotel and restaurant atmosphere lacked basic hospitality. This experience does not meet Marriott’s standards, and we will not be returning.

For what I paid for the room, it was a huge disappointment. :( Run down, dirty, and housekeeping didn’t show up one of the days. TVs weren’t working well, remote batteries running low, shower handle loose, and overall the property is poorly maintained. I was excited when I arrived but left very disappointed. Don’t recommend.

The staff was very friendly upon our check in and check out. We did not use the pool. We did have an oceanview room and the view was spectacular. The room was nice and spacious with plenty of room to hang clothes and relax on furniture other than beds. The downside was the breakfast buffet. It was mediocre at best. I would expect a lot more from this caliber of a hotel. The food options were alright, nothing great. The second day breakfast all the eggs were cold and lacked any flavor. The coffee and juice being located way across the room, across the dance floor made it both easy to miss and easy to trip. Once you were done with your food there was no place to drop off your dishes. While we loved our stay, the location and ease to get on the beach, we opted to pay for a breakfast outside the hotel vs eat the free buffet inside the hotel.
