This is a very old property with lots of potential. The setting is very nice. The rooms are clean but very outdated. The restaurant hours were limited therefore we did not have an opportunity to eat there. We did stop for a drink at 8pm and they reluctantly decided to serve us but the apparent owner was rude about it. They turned away a family of five. I don't think I would stay again but it served our purpose at the time.

The rooms were considered historic. The beds were OK. The towels were great however, there was a fainting couch that was grungy and should be removed. A small table and a couple of chairs would have been much more preferred. There were only two rooms on the main floor. Everything else was upstairs. No elevator. No breakfast but coffee and juice. Basically, no Wi-Fi signal. The restaurant Samuelson's was delicious however it is closed Sunday and Monday night.

White Birch Inn is amazing!! Truly the old school resort with all the modern comforts!! They helped correct the hotels.com reservation mistake (number of adults vs children) very quickly and efficiently. The on-site restaurant and bar was fantastic!!!! Delicious food!!

We were happily surprised at the size and look of our room. Though we have a walk up 2nd floor, it was no problem. The outside of the building was not great, but the room and warm feeling inside made up for it.

The White Birch Inn for the most part was adequate. Room was clean, had enough toiletries and towels and no disturbances to note. With that being said, the building was dated. Our bathroom faucet had problems, the shower was clogged, the room had a window air conditioner that was extremely loud all night and not that its a major issue for some, but there was no elevator. If you have heavy items to carry up and down, its tricky if your room is on the second floor.

We didn't mind the stay here. The room has everything we needed. You will need a car to go the downtown and to beaches. There is not anything near the hotel. They have a big bar/restaurant in the hotel but it is closed a lot of days. The room was big and clean. No elevator.

Really appreciated that they were pet friendly. Food at the restaurant was good, and server was friendly. Really did not appreciate that the pipes clanked all night. One of the staff said it was the dishwasher and would stop soon, but it continued all night, and all through our stay. Could hear it even through my earplugs. And then the AC unit tripped off during our last night, so we woke up warm. Could definitely use some improved maintenance.

Only the upper plug worked on all outlets, which tells me they have an electrical issue. Shared microwave in the hall, who does that? I am going to assume this because of the electric issue. Had a tube tv!!! Used real keys for the rooms. It was like stepping back into the 1980’s. The room was very clean, had nice towels and good tp. Beds and pillows were good. Minimum toiletries, needed a Walmart run. No one at the front desk except for check in. Restaurant attached is only open a few days out of the week. Hours were wrong on the info card in our room so we were unable to order food after 7:00 on Wednesday. Would not go back.

Our room was spotless, ultra, clean, and a taste of an earlier time. Not fancy at all. We just wanted a quiet place to sleep. In addition, we lucked out with a beautiful view of the birch trees upfront that were just beginning to change. Each morning the view got slightly more beautiful as the trees were changing.

The White Birch Inn reminded us of staying in small inn with a pub in Scotland or Wales. Loved the antique decor and the fainting couch in our room. The hotel is on a quiet back street so no sounds of traffic, just birds in the trees. Friendly staff too. Only downside was the weak WIFI signal. A great value for the price.

We were pleasantly surprised. We weren't really sure what to expect, but it was warm and welcoming, and even though we had a dog, we had easy access from the parking lot to our room upstairs.The staff was very welcoming and we had an excellent time. We ate in the dining room both nights of our stay and the food was delicious. Two thumbs up to the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. I would definitely like to stay here again in the future.

Upon entering the building, the office wasn't staffed. I was told by a different guy to then go to the restaurant to find someone. No one there. Then I was told to go to the bar area to find someone. There were 2 people talking here and one lady finally helped me check in. I didn't think I should have to track down someone to check into my room. I wasn't offered help to my room even though it was up a flight of stairs and there wasn't an elevator. The place has a restaurant but doesn't offer guests any discount to dine there. Nothing told about if there was breakfast offered.

To be fair we were there in mid September, the off season. Having said that, the staff was really not around. Checkin with the bartender of the attached restaurant. There were virtually no amenities other than a coffee and juice machine in the lobby, and the coffee was extremely weak,almost brown water. When we did find someone to talk to about that, nothing changed. The rooms were large and clean, the water pressure in the shower was terrible, and the shower was small. The door was so tight on the carpet at the bottom we could only open the door one third of the way. The inn is situated among apartment buildings, so no view. We will not be staying again. Barely acceptable.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would happily stay at the White Birch Inn again.

Its a bit further from attractions and we had problems, no Uber or Lyft. Found a local cab driver and it worked out. The White Birch had delicious food, including the Friday Fish Fry and Saturday Steak night. True Wisconsin Supper Club vibe.

When you walk in there is no one there to great you. Felt like I was an inconvenience when found someone. Place was quiet except for Friday night the restaurant was busy. Bed was comfy room adequately clean and stocked. Wished I’d had booked closer to the little towns so we could have walked instead of driving so much (my bad).

We didn't mind the stay here. The room has everything we needed. You will need a car to go the downtown and to beaches. There is not anything near the hotel. They have a big bar/restaurant in the hotel but it is closed a lot of days. The room was big and clean. No elevator.

Room was clean. Dinning was very slow. Drinks took forever, at one point our Server went to make our drinks, and Bar Tender was not busy. In fact I stood up at bar for a few minutes and Bar tender did not even talk to me, or address me, as if I didn't even exist.

White Birch Inn is amazing!! Truly the old school resort with all the modern comforts!! They helped correct the hotels.com reservation mistake (number of adults vs children) very quickly and efficiently. The on-site restaurant and bar was fantastic!!!! Delicious food!!

What a wonderful peaceful QUIET place to stay. Has to be the quietest place we have ever stayed. Great food at the restaurant. The chicken Alfaro soup is a must. Only thing I would change is a bowed shower curtain for a little bit more room.

Only the upper plug worked on all outlets, which tells me they have an electrical issue. Shared microwave in the hall, who does that? I am going to assume this because of the electric issue. Had a tube tv!!! Used real keys for the rooms. It was like stepping back into the 1980’s. The room was very clean, had nice towels and good tp. Beds and pillows were good. Minimum toiletries, needed a Walmart run. No one at the front desk except for check in. Restaurant attached is only open a few days out of the week. Hours were wrong on the info card in our room so we were unable to order food after 7:00 on Wednesday. Would not go back.

They advertise a bar/restaurant on site, was never opened while we were there. The jacuzzi in our room smelled so bad we couldn’t use it. Literally no other person was at the site at all after checking in. Creepy place poor service and not near anything. Don’t recommend

Jetted tub was broken, dirty and not communicated prior to our stay. Shower leaked nonstop leaving for a maddening background noise to fall asleep to. Property is in disrepair outside- booking photos must be very old. Bed was very uncomfortable and room overall was not overly clean. Cobwebs on the walls and carpets did not appear to have been vacuumed well. Wasn’t impressed for the money at all.
