Across many reviews, Hotel Apapacho Boutique stands out as a small, stylish, and tranquil boutique stay with exceptionally friendly staff, a handy location near Parque Juárez, and a pleasant rooftop for drinks and relaxing by the small pool.
Rooms are generally spacious, comfortable, and well designed, though some guests reported inconsistent Wi‑Fi and a few noted dim lighting, hot water or pressure quirks, and occasional noise in certain rooms facing neighboring dogs. Breakfast is well liked, but parking is off‑site and can be difficult, and on‑site dining options and hours appear limited. Expect a calm, walkable base with warm service and boutique comforts.

This modestly priced hotel offers very comfortable rooms in a beautiful setting. Be aware that there’s no restaurant, so the only available coffee is the Nespresso machine in the room. But there are wonderful cafes just minutes away on foot. Hot water for showers was not consistently available, but we made do.

Very nice boutique hotel. The staff was very attentive and quickly learned our names. Helped us with reservations and even went out to get us pastry on the day we left. We had room 1 which was large and very clean. The rooftop pool/breakfast area was enjoyable.

Stayed 4 nights in late January. Very attentive staff. Always available to assist with concierge-type services. Property is located half block from the park and is walkable to the square as well as many restaurants. The property gives off a spa-like vibe with a contemporary style and high quality finishes. Lighting is dramatic and the grounds are immaculate. All-in-all I would go back without a second thought.

This property was absolutely stunning. My favorite part of the whole trip was getting in in the afternoon and going up to the rooftop bar and watching the sky turn colors as the sun set. The staff was the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They are personable and were very accommodating. The location was the perfect location and walking distance from the Centro. Breakfast was included with our stay which was a nice touch. I will definitely stay here again when I am able to go back to SMA. The grounds were clean and peaceful. Definitely had a ZEN vibe.

Hector, the manager, was a great point of contact and host. The hotel was very nice and beautiful. The room was great, spacious, and comfortable. Location was great as well, a few steps away from Parque Juarez and a nice stroll from Zona Centro. We felt very safe and the staff was wonderful as well. If you are looking for a place and have not been to SMA before, this is a wonderful little find and you won’t be disappointed.

The hotel facilities are modern and stylish which looked just like the photos. We booked Superior Room (NAHUI) for 2 nights. Our room was at the 1st floor of the two-story building facing the neighbor private residence where we went through a nightmare. The room was dark and cold even after we turned on the heater and lights. We took a shower to warm up, but the water was not hot enough, so we had to wear sweater all night. We couldn't sleep at all due to noise of several dogs kept by the neighbor barking non-stop all night over the neighbor fence. The mattress was old and dented which contributed to the sleepless night. The guests who stayed at the 2nd floor told us that they had not been able to sleep for two nights because of the dogs barking. We complained about all of these issues to the reception in the next morning. The guy at the reception (who was the owner of the hotel) moved us to a smaller classic room (YEI) located away from the fence. He told us they had been dealing with the issue of the dogs with the neighbor for a while but they couldn't do anything. He neither expressed any sense of apology nor appreciation for us letting him know about the mattress issue. He refused to give us refund for the difference in the room rate and charged us breakfast on the 2nd day citing that it is free only on the 1st day. By knowing this issue, they shouldn't put any guests to these rooms until the issue is permanently resolved. This rip-off hotel ruined our trip. Avoid it.

This was a lovely property to stay at. The rooms, staff, amenities, and location were all top notch. The rooms exceeded our expectation. The A/C was very good, the bed was extremely comfy, and the bathrooms and shower were wonderful as well. The rooftop bar and pool was also very scenic and we could stay there all day. Additionally, the staff went out of their way to accommodate our every request and ensure we had what we needed. The manager even drove us to the airport because our taxi could not reach the hotel due to a parade in town. All our friends that visited our hotel whilst we were there were incredibly jealous. I highly recommend this property and would re-book in a second if I were to go back to San Miguel de Allende.

Hector and crew are amazing. Very attentive to needs and the benefits of a small boutique are many - especially when they are as on-point as they are there. As an example we had an early departure flight and Hector personally came in (his day off - Sunday) to take care of helping making food. Great area too. Just be prepared to walk everywhere. The hotel was absolutely lovely.

Our stay at Hotel Apapacho was amazing. It was clean and the staff were extremely nice to us. We really liked that it was kind of hidden, away from the large volume of people, and about a 5-10min walk towards el Centro. We will definitely come back!

Breakfast on the rooftop is widely enjoyed for quality and setting, though the menu is simple. A few reviews mention limited options or hours and, in one case, no full restaurant.

An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. We had Room 3 which was located off of the street and was extremely quiet. The bed was amazing and the blackout curtain had us sleeping in each day. Great service as well, whether at the reception desk, room service, or the rooftop bar/pool. Our flight out of Leon wasn’t until 6:30pm and the hotel held our bags until for us until we caught an Uber at 2:30pm (check-out is at 11am). A great time no doubt and we will definitely be back.

Wife and I stayed at Apapacho this past weekend and loved it. A very intimate, well furnished boutique hotel. Staff, in particular Hector and Juanito, were fantastic and are very hard working. The roof top bar has great views and great food and drink. The food is mostly sandwiches and burgers but top notch. I would definitely stay there again. Bed was very comfortable and supportive. Bathroom was luxurious. Balcony with sitting area was comfortable and relaxing. All around, a great spot, wonderful service, and a great experience! Thank you!

Very nice boutique hotel. The staff was very attentive and quickly learned our names. Helped us with reservations and even went out to get us pastry on the day we left. We had room 1 which was large and very clean. The rooftop pool/breakfast area was enjoyable.

The staff here were incredibly nice and accommodating- in addition to the property being so clean, the food and drinks were great! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and ability to relax on the rooftop and be close to walk to various squares/gardens.
