Great hotel, modern , clean , staff was great , but they had no hot water the two days we were there. Also, breakfast after 9:15 am was disappointing. They ran out of eggs , croissants and bacon and never refilled the trays even though breakfast lasted until 10:30. Good but needs improvement.

great location, directly across the street from M3 subway station that goes to airport and provides convenient access everywhere else. walking distance to acropolis and other central sites. lots of shops, restaurants, etc. rooftop lounge/bar is very nice. highly recommended.

This average hotel had 2 elevators. One did not operate at all during our 6 night stay and the other failed one day, This made it difficult to walk to the 5th floor where breakfast was served. The Television in our room did not operate at all during our stay and we were told it needed a technician, but one was never available and this meant we had to use the general hotel "non-secure" wifi service instead of the "password" one from the TV system. Previously we stayed at the Apollo Palms Hotel which was nearby, it was $100.00 cheaper per night and far better in every way.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s location is really excellent for access to all Athens has to offer. The busy Monastariki Square is right on its doorstop which is both an upside and a downside if you prefer quiet. The noise at night wasn’t kept out by the windows, however it didn’t prevent us sleeping after long days of sightseeing, but be warned if this is something of a concern for you! Breakfast was great. The rooftop bar is so underused it wasn’t properly serviced which was a shame as it has an amazing view of the Acropolis and city.

The hotel has an excellent private rooftop terrace with an unobstructed view of the Acropolis. The buffet breakfast is average and serves the purpose. We had a room overlooking the street and is a bit noisy because of the proximity to the market square, but traffc noise ended by 11pm.

Location is great and bed was comfy. There are 2 lifts one was out of service the whole 10 nights we stayed. The other has a limit of 2 people and kept needing to be reset when additional people enter the lift. Prepare for cold showers, reception advised us there is an issue in the street apparently.

Location is good but the hotel is run down. Our room smelt mouldy and has black mould visible on floor and starting to protrude paint on wall. My husband became locked in a toilet on ground floor. A maintenance person had to be called to let him out. It became apparent all locks to other toilet doors were broken including a disabled toilet. There appears to be works going on on upper floors and an eclectic collection of stuff hanging about in breakfast area and roof garden adds to sense of mess and disorganisation. Only one lift was operational.

This was my second time staying here and honestly, it was a very pleasant experience extremely clean rooms the most ideal location possible if you want to be sightseeing in Athens, you’re literally less than one block away from the city center where they have all of the shops and all of the nice restaurants you want to go to you’re also about a 10 minute cab ride from anything else in the area as well. The most ideal location, very clean rooms very modern hotel and very accommodating staff as well. Like I said, this is my second time staying here I’m from New York but I am Greek And the hospitality was very nice.

Stayed in the king suite, plenty of room for a family of four. Common area in suite had strange layout and not really enough space to utilize as a family. Enjoyed the huge balcony which did have an acropolis view however the balcony furniture was very dirty. Could be a really cool space if it was maintained better. Room cleanliness was not great. Check in was quick but didn't get much information about the property or a particularly warm welcome. Breakfast was not very good. Good location, close to everything and very easy to get a cab.

I stayed at this hotel for one night after returning from Santorini. The room is spacious however, the bathroom was dirty with lots of hair on the ground. It was late so all cleaning staff were gone. I wasn’t even offered a broom or dustpan to sweep. I was offered a different room but it was late and I had stuff everywhere. The picture of the balcony is deceiving! You face an alley with a building that needs to be repaired. I asked for a credit for my troubles and not one person from the hotel has contacted me! This was two weeks ago! I will never stay here again! I booked a room for someone else that just left today. I can’t wait to hear how their stay was. The hotel is convenient to the flea market, shopping, and good restaurants. Also, if you’re VIP Expedia, the bottle of wine is a lie! I had to ask about it because it wasn’t offered. I was offered a glass of wine or beer. I took a soda instead.

We had an excellent experience at the Royalty Hotel. Vasso got us into our room early after we were tired from our travel and even gave us a complementary upgrade. The room was spotless and beautiful. We enjoyed the Acropolis view from the roof cafe at night. The next time I am in Athens, I will certainly be staying at the Royalty Hotel Athens again.

Not sure HOW this property obtained a four star rating. Bathrooms had mold, were not cleaned, had "bubbling sewer" in the bathroom. Had six rooms in total and one couple had to be moved because their AC was broken. MOST importantly, upon our return from dinner, there were young girls (16-20) walking the halls of each floor saying "hello" to all open doors...don't want to make allegations but after 11pm, there is only ONE reason non-guests are walking each floor of the hotel. While I would NEVER stay at this establishment again, I will say that the staff was very friendly.

We had a lovely corner room with lots of windows and space. The staff were very helpful with reserving a taxi for us to the port. Easily walked to the Acropolis, restaurants and shopping. The breakfast room and rooftop bar could use some updating.

We took the suit, and the room was nice and large, designe nicely. There were a lot of decorated lamps, but not all worked. The bathroom compare to the room was tiny. There was a shower with a strong flow, but the shower head was blocked. It took them 3 days (out of 5) to fix it. The location is perfect. The Breakfast is terrible. We went out to eat. There is one person at the desk, so if you need anything, it's your problem

The location of this hotel is great. Staff were generally very knowledgeable and courteous. Unfortunately although we paid for a beautiful big room, we had to change to an older unrenovated one because of the noise. When we enquired if we'd receive a credit for the downgrade, we were told "it wasn't in the notes". Although we very much appreciated being moved so we could sleep, the room would barely rate as 2 stars. Sadly breakfast was pathetic. We visited the breakfast room twice during our 4 day stay but only had it once.

The first room 106 was right above the Street and it was extremely noisy. Reception staff changed it to 306 and everything was great. Clean room, and Hotel is close to eramu center square which was great. Accross the Street from the metro

Most everything was fantastic. The location is perfect. The staff was super helpful. The breakfast is good. The room is exactly as pictured. I rated the hotel highly and we enjoyed our stay, but if I had to pick one thing to improve, the windows were not super high quality, there was a lot of noise coming through (and we are used to noise living in a large city). As long as you are used to background noise, it is a great stay, if not, it sometimes felt like the windows were open when they were fully locked shut, you might have a little trouble sleeping.

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le quartier antique, mais attention, bruyant le soir (bouchons requis). Chambre adéquate avec une excellente douche. We had a lovely corner room with lots of windows and space. The staff were very helpful with reserving a taxi for us to the port. Easily walked to the Acropolis, restaurants and shopping. The breakfast room and rooftop bar could use some updating.

The location of this hotel is great. Staff were generally very knowledgeable and courteous. Unfortunately although we paid for a beautiful big room, we had to change to an older unrenovated one because of the noise. When we enquired if we'd receive a credit for the downgrade, we were told "it wasn't in the notes". Although we very much appreciated being moved so we could sleep, the room would barely rate as 2 stars. Sadly breakfast was pathetic. We visited the breakfast room twice during our 4 day stay but only had it once.

The hotel is located in a perfect location within walking distance of all main attractions, restaurants and cafes. The staff are all very friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. The room was modern, exceptionally clean and superb in all respects making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is very enjoyable with many healthy and delicious options to consider and the service is excellent!! It’s always the little touches and attention to detail that leave a lasting impression and this hotel and it’s staff made every effort to ensure our stay was one to remember!! We will be sure to come back on our next visit to Athens!!

Stayed in the king suite, plenty of room for a family of four. Common area in suite had strange layout and not really enough space to utilize as a family. Enjoyed the huge balcony which did have an acropolis view however the balcony furniture was very dirty. Could be a really cool space if it was maintained better. Room cleanliness was not great. Check in was quick but didn't get much information about the property or a particularly warm welcome. Breakfast was not very good. Good location, close to everything and very easy to get a cab.

We had an excellent experience at the Royalty Hotel. Vasso got us into our room early after we were tired from our travel and even gave us a complementary upgrade. The room was spotless and beautiful. We enjoyed the Acropolis view from the roof cafe at night. The next time I am in Athens, I will certainly be staying at the Royalty Hotel Athens again.

Example, when they left water in the room, it was already opened and had been drank out of, made a reservation at the restaurant but no one was there to seat us; waited for 10 minutes and left, our welcome drink was nowhere to be found and when we were directed to the bar, the staff didn’t seem to know what we were talking about. Just odd experience overall. Nice clean room though in a great location. Would not book again though.

The first room 106 was right above the Street and it was extremely noisy. Reception staff changed it to 306 and everything was great. Clean room, and Hotel is close to eramu center square which was great. Accross the Street from the metro

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It’s location is really excellent for access to all Athens has to offer. The busy Monastariki Square is right on its doorstop which is both an upside and a downside if you prefer quiet. The noise at night wasn’t kept out by the windows, however it didn’t prevent us sleeping after long days of sightseeing, but be warned if this is something of a concern for you! Breakfast was great. The rooftop bar is so underused it wasn’t properly serviced which was a shame as it has an amazing view of the Acropolis and city.

Most everything was fantastic. The location is perfect. The staff was super helpful. The breakfast is good. The room is exactly as pictured. I rated the hotel highly and we enjoyed our stay, but if I had to pick one thing to improve, the windows were not super high quality, there was a lot of noise coming through (and we are used to noise living in a large city). As long as you are used to background noise, it is a great stay, if not, it sometimes felt like the windows were open when they were fully locked shut, you might have a little trouble sleeping.
