My room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The location is prime with easy access to the beach, restaurants and all the attractions around the area. I had a great experience and will definitely go back.

Overrated and Poor Value The Grande Colonial has one major strength: its location. Beyond that, the experience was remarkably average and did not justify nearly $1,000 for two nights. From a customer experience perspective, there were several clear gaps: Check-in: A 4 p.m. check-in feels excessive. I requested early check-in at 2 p.m. and had to push for it despite already paying for the room. While early check-in isn’t guaranteed, the process felt unnecessarily difficult. Noise: A wedding made the hotel extremely loud. Stomping, conversations, and people constantly using the stairs disrupted the overall experience. Room quality: The hotel and room smelled old and musty. The bathroom appeared renovated but was otherwise average compared with modern hotels. The bed felt old, and the sheets were worn and visibly stained. These are basic expectations, not premium amenities. Attention to detail: Complimentary snacks were a nice idea, but several appeared old and were nearing expiration. Ultimately, there is a disconnect between the hotel’s reputation, pricing, and actual guest experience. Location alone cannot justify luxury-level prices when cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail fall short. I left feeling underwhelmed and would not recommend the hotel at this price point. Note to management:Please don’t bother offering compensation or trying to make up for this experience. I won’t be returning. Instead, use this feedback to improve the experience for other guest

Very nice older hotel well maintained. We had a junior “suite”, a very spacious room, king bed, nice bathroom with a walk in shower as we had requested. A view of the ocean. Maids did a good job cleaning up every morning with fresh towels etc. None of this ‘we only clean every two days’ etc. like you hear at lesser places. The combined breakfast room, bar, restaurant was not an elegant area, but the service was excellent. Main sitting area was a beautiful room, not huge, but adequate. A small patio overlooking the pool was sometimes open for breakfast, others times not - confusing.
