A very well appointed property in the heart of Monastiraki, within walking distance of all the touristic sites or, if not, certainly within reach by metro and public transportation. Just a couple of minuses: the area can be noisy, so if you have trouble sleeping, you should request a quiet room. Similarly, some of the other guests (with a baby, for example) were noisy. My particular room was on the first floor (2nd floor US) and, while one of the windows in the sleeping area had a privacy film, the others didn’t. This meant I had to be careful not to parade around naked, or I had to draw the blinds. Finally, the reception is not 24 hours, so be aware of that if are arriving very late or very early.

What a great hotel! Recently renovated. Perfect location 4 minutes walk to central square and train station. I read a lot of reviews that said it was noisy my family and I didn’t hear anything could be cause it’s off season (March). The check in is contactless but the owners are available at anytime. We got the cutest bag of welcome treats and delicious freshly baked cookies. Book now.

This was the perfect place to stay. The location was in walking distance to many restaurants, major shopping, historical locations and the train. The rooms were very nice and clean. There are lady’s at the front desk to meet you during the day and answer any questions and hold your bags until your room is ready. They even put our bags in our room when it was ready If you arrive after hours there are clear instructions on how to get into the building. There’s a nice little market right across the street for essentials. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was the highlight of M17… they were so kind and VERY helpful! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Like most rooms in Athens, it is tucked in a building among other businesses so we went to address and saw the door (which is locked and monitored for added safety) you are sent a code for door. M17 was in a bustling part of the city with lots of tourists, which was great! Rooms were quiet and had sitting area and kitchenette. Water pressure was great, lovely bathroom. Everything was modern and clean! We loved the staff, even housekeepers were friendly and helpful!

The host was wonderful! Ioanna messaged promptly before we got there and was very helpful while we were there. She let us check in early. These are more like apartments w/o a front desk. Not a traditional hotel. Great central location even though it looks a little sketchy right outside, it was safe. Very close to walk to Monastiraki and lots of sites. Definitely don't bring a car. It's faster to walk and parking is difficult. Beds were comfortable and clean, nice bathroom.

We loved our stay at M17! Everything was very clean and the hosts were so accommodating and friendly. They let us store our luggage before check in and were very prompt to reply and help us on whatsapp. The location is excellent and it is very walkable. There will be some noise depending on what room you get, but my husband and I were not bothered at all. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and our hosts were absolutely lovely!

Room & bathroom were very clean and room was spacious. The location was outstanding just steps away from the coolest area in Psyri where all the restaurants and bars are, and only 16 minutes walk to the Acropolis. Zoe was very helpful and provided great tips which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Monastiraki is definitively the best area to stay in Athens. I'll go back to this hotel again.

Great guest service and accommodations! Ioanna made our guest experience exceptional. She contacted us before our check-in date, and was there to receive us on our day of arrival. She was warm, professional and always available. Instructions for check-in and check-out were clear and thorough. The studio apartment was extremely, extremely spacious and clean, with new modern decor and completely updated. No issues with hot water, as noted in some previous reviews. Three of us showered in a row with plenty of hot water to spare. Great location is Athens City Centre. The Acropolis, the National Archaeological Museum of Greece, Plaka and Monastiraki were within walking distance. The shopping district on Ermou Street is closeby - minutes away. The neighborhood is full of boutique and terraced restaurants. Although we walked everywhere, there is conveniently an entrance for Monastiraki metro at the end of the block of Miaouli Street, where M17 is located. Great overall experience! Highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights and it was the best experience for us. The room was really clean and big. The A/C was really strong, and the windows were soundproof, which means you can sleep well because the hotel is in a popular place. It is really easy to contact the hotel; they are so helpful. We are so happy to have stayed there, and it won’t be the last time.

This location was in the heart of the city! Super walkable and easy to get to everything. The hotel room was very spacious and nice. They left us a note with ear plugs, which was great! The one downside was there were no curtains to blockout the lights. The room was so bright all night long, so we barely got any sleep. Other than that, it was a great location to stay in.

We booked this hotel for ourselves and another couple. The rooms were clean, spacious, beds very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. Our friend’s room was 2 rooms back from the street and they had no problems. Our room was right at the street with windows on 2 sides. The street noise was significant as there were bars outside our room and even with ear plugs that the hotel provided sleeping was a problem. We did move part way through our stay and they were kind enough to give us a refund for the unused nights. It was in a good location for being close to Athens attractions, but if you chose to stay here you want to ask for a room off of the street. Or you may want to book a more expensive room in the building.

M17 Suites is ideally located in the heart of Athens, with easy access to local attractions, dining, and public transportation (Monastiraki Metro Station, easy access to and from Athens airport). The area is vibrant, and there’s plenty to see and do within walking distance. However, while the location is fantastic, the soundproofing leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, the noise from the street and neighboring apartments was quite disruptive, especially at night. Additionally, the room was bright at night, making it difficult to sleep without some sort of eye mask or blackout curtains. Despite the charm and convenience of the location, the lack of soundproofing and the brightness made it challenging to get a good night’s sleep. If noise and light aren’t issues for you, this place might be a great fit. But if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to consider other options. Or bring an eye mask and some ear plugs.

We came to M17 at the end of a 10 night cruise. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to securely leave our luggage and explore some of the local sites well before check in time. They provided hints such as places to eat. The room was large with a kitchenette. Excellent bed. M17 is in a great location, within walking distance of the major historical sites. Overall, we would stay there again when returning to Athens.

Fantastic location, close to lots of great restaurants and 2 minutes walk to Monastiraki train station. The apartment itself was clean and quiet (room 10), good AC, great shower and comfy beds! Check in was super straightforward even when we arrived at past midnight. Would definately stay again.

Great location, very nice hotel. It is one block from the train station, the Hop-on/Hop-off bus, and busy squares with lots of restaurants AND a view of the Acropolis. Location is just perfect. Very clean. Rooms were totally quiet - no street or neighbor noise. Owners were very responsive and graciously accommodated our early arrival. AC worked great on some hot days! Only very small quibbles - the mattresses are very firm - more like a futon, which is common in Europe and less so for Americans. Kitchen has minimal dishes - would upgrade the mugs and add a few utensils.

Property is at center of everything. Easily walkable to plenty of restaurants. Only drawback is you may find some homeless people sleeping near the property.

The hotel is very close to the Monastiraki metro station. Monastiraki is full of dining, entertainment and sightseeing. My room was very clean, the hotel has an elevator, the room I had was more like a studio apartment. Great place.

Great place to stay! Right in the middle of all the attractions. Near lots of restaurants. Clean, air conditioned, safe, and friendly staff. The only downside was the street at night was bright and loud. The windows and blinds did NOT drown out the noise or the light so sleeping was minimal on the nights the city wanted to stay awake.

Amazing property with great location! As soon as we checked in, we wished we had planned to stay longer because the studio is so nice. The instructions provided prior to check in made it extremely easy to find and complete self check in. The apartment was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Athens.
