What guests think

Across many reviews, The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club earns praise for its beautiful design, very clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly, accommodating staff, creating a calm base that feels upscale yet welcoming for medical visits or quick Denver stays.

The location is steps from the Anschutz medical campus and is generally quiet and convenient to the airport, but there's little else nearby for sightseeing. Facilities draw compliments for a well-equipped gym and inviting bar and lounges, while many guests report recurring parking frustrations—off-site self-parking, limited short-term space, and pricey valet—and some note there's no pool or hot tub. On-site dining at Common Good is frequently enjoyed, though menus and late-night options can feel limited and room service occasionally disappoints. Expect a polished, comfortable stay best suited to campus visits or a restful overnight, with parking logistics to plan ahead.

All the staffs were friendly and comfortable. Room was clean and I liked the fact that it was quiet. And every time I opened the door it seems that somebody else was going in and out so I appreciated that. Only major issue I had was it was NOT clear when I was booking that I’d have to pay $40 / day for valet parking. The website mentioned that they had a self parking option. Well it turns out it was good 7 minute hike and with a bad ankle issues I have it was NOT an option for me! They need to make that much clearer on their listing. Staying over a week it added up fast!

Parking is challenging. Valet parking expensive as it is only on the street. Parking garage a little walk from hotel. Lovely accommodations and very comfortable.

Wonderful property. Love the overall design and esthetics. The front desk were all helpful. HOWEVER....the parking truly undermines the entire experience. It starts with there being NO short term parking for simple check in (or at least no signage/acknowledgement of such). Once parked, in adjacent 30 min retail parking, upon check in I learn I have 3 options. Valet at $49 a day, University parking at $25 a day but NO in and out privileges or free parking....wait for it....6 blocks away. An 11 minute walk per google maps. That ain't convenient.....and that doesn't even include snowy conditions. Unfortunately, parking is literally the first thing I do when I get to a property so I started off on the wrong foot and the rest of the stay, as wonderful as it was, never quite made up for it.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Hotel bar had a delicious cocktail menu. My only frustration is the parking is 3 blocks away unless you use valet which is $39 a night. This upcharge was not expected. There is no accommodations for people who need handicapped parking without using valet.

This hotel should not be listed on 3rd party booking sites if it is going to treat people like 3rd party citizens. Also there is NO actual parking. They claim there is a garage but it is 4++ blocks away 10-12 min walk through a poorly lit area. The Valet is an additional $39/night. And the "free garage" requires so many steps you end up paying $3 an hour to be there anyway because their instructions are downright wrong. The staff Tashea or Tayshay...Anglo young lady with an aweful attitude... should be fired there are so many reviews about how badly she treats people. The food and the restaurant were awesome. But they are a whole other business I gave a good review. Stay somewhere else and go eat at the common good...but for the love of customer service the Valet needs to be included in the price of the room...the additional $40/night is heinous considering you have no actual Parking upon arrival. God forbid it were the serious summer or Denver depth of winter ....OR NIGHTTIME!

This is the nicest hotel within, near, and around the Anschutz , Children's Hospital, UC, and VA Hospital campus. Fantastic views. The hotel feels brand new and the rooms are large with a kitchenette, dining area, outstanding work area with views, large bathroom with large shower. The workout facility is well-appointed. The hotel has a number of very nice gathering and seating areas for meetings and just gathering with friends, multiple fire places, a library-like sitting area, a very nice bar and restaurant gathering area. Just a very nice setting. Within walking distance are some restaurants. The campus is a park-like setting. Depending on which side of the hotel you are in, enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Hotel is also within relatively close proximity of the airport. This is my favorite hotel in the area.

Property is new, very clean & well kept. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Restaurant was good. Parking was a little weird. I have an EV, no chargers on site, tho they have a deal to use (slow) chargers about 7 blocks away. I ended up not parking there overnight, as that garage was very empty, and I felt uncomfortable leaving car there overnight. I ended up using valet parking, and they actually park cars on the street in front of hotel.

Awesome experiance overall, and a very nice area close to lots of pubs in walking distance. The hitel restaurant had a delicious brunch, although 7$ for 3 pieces of bacon seemed a bit much. Rooms and views were beautiful. Although, there was some grossness in the shower and some trash still under the bed. Also im not sure the AC actually was programmable. No matter what it was set on it seemed to stay at 69 in the room.

The Benson Hotel is an upscale, beautiful, yet affordable hotel near Denver. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Beautiful bathrooms ... Great showers. Staff is friendly and they have a dynamite restaurant on site called The Common Good. I highly recommend the restaurant - beautiful and usually empty so it's quiet. The hotel is nowhere near downtown Denver and getting there is very expensive by taxi or Uber so you definitely need a rental car. There is a light rail station (Fitzsimmons Station) a few blocks away but it's not the easiest to navigate as most locals are not in the know regarding lines and tracks. We figured it out and you can grab a day pass for $5.50 a person so that's a steal. Again though, utilizing the light rail will only get you so far. ... You REALLY NEED a rental car. Overall, a fantastic hotel in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. Recommend it.

We loved our stay except for the meals we had downstairs. A pasta meal so salty my husband who adds salt to everything said it was salt heavy. We then ordered a child’s pasta to go. It was so incredibly spicy I would have felt bad for any 4 year old eating it. The other adults in our group tried it and agreed the marinara sauce would rank with a Hot hot salsa sorta of heat. Hotel itself was excellent.

Fantastic, except for the room service. It took an hour to arrive and was cold. It was in a bag like I door dashed Dennys, coffee was really terrible, orange juice good. But the food was ok, no condiments like butter for the toast, which was slightly burned. I really thought for the caliber that this hotel was presenting in every category, that the room service would be top tier. Their restaurant is, I had breakfast there the previous morning and that’s why I was looking forward to the room service breakfast as a departure treat. I thought there would be tray service, but covid may have changed those expectations I don’t know.
