This was a quick business trip and needed a good comfortable hotel near the airport. Tru was excellent on all the important points. Extra clean, great service with a smile, extremely comfortable bed with a quiet room, shower was spacious with great water pressure and temperature control. Breakfast was above average for a free buffet. The cheese omelette was delicious and fresh fruit. Free shuttle to airport that was available on demand. Favorite business hotel for Albany airport area.

We liked how secluded it was from the city. Unfortunately when we got into our room, there was food left in the fridge and a candy wrapper in the bed when we pulled the covers down and red candies and hair on the sheets. we ended up sharing the one bed. I am not one to complain. So we were very dissapointed in our cleaniness of our room. I stayed at a Tru in syracuse and really enjoyed it, that is why I picked this hotel. It was also very loud out in the hallways in the middle of the night. I will stick to embassy suites, thats usually what I book. Thank you.

The room has a bad smell from the bathroom. The mattress is quite uncomfortable. There are holes on the sheets. I saw a few bugs in the shower. Table was dirty with marks from coffee mugs or glasses. Not sure if anybody cleaned the room! Location is great though, right next to the airport. The hotel itself is nice and modern.

Hotel room didn’t live up to Hilton expectations. Ripped sheet, broken blinds, tile in bathroom missing, thin walls, creaky floors….. The staff was lovely and the rest of the hotel was relatively clean. But our room was certainly run down. We showed pictures to the front desk who apologized about the condition of the room.

We checked into this hotel because it was close to the airport and it seemed like a newer hotel. I knew that the hotel did not have amenities, but it did look simple and clean. I should’ve trusted the reviews that said not to stay here. Reject into the first room I believe it was room 335 and the second we opened the door it smelled like wet dog. It was so musty and gross. We called and they told us to come back down so we loved our luggage back downstairs. We were then given room 327 which was just as bad. At this point, we realize that we were not going to get a nice room that didn’t smell awful. Thank God we were only there overnight. I would 100% not recommend this hotel stay not even for an overnight. The hotel is over five years old and it feels like it’s 20 years old. Paying close to $200 is a rip off.

We were assigned a first-floor room on arrival, and the moment we opened the door we were hit with a strong wet-dog smell. I called the front desk immediately. The agent apologized and explained it was a pet-friendly room that should have received an extra cleaning, which clearly hadn’t happened. She moved us to a third-floor room, but as a family of four with two small children and lots of bags, hauling everything upstairs was an added burden. On the way, we noticed heavily stained hallway carpet and peeling wallpaper—surprising given that an earlier email described this as a “brand-new” property. The third-floor room was cleaner, but the same animal odor seemed to linger through the night. Front desk service was courteous, but housekeeping and maintenance fell well short of expectations, and the “brand-new” description felt misleading. This stay did not meet basic standards for cleanliness or condition. Management needs to address deep cleaning of pet rooms, carpet replacement, and wall repairs before calling this property new.

the walls are paper thin. we could hear the family next door as if they were in our room. kept us up most of the night. once they fell asleep, we could hear them snoring!! and thats while wearing ear plugs. the A/C in room was also super loud, actually worked to drown out snoring beds were comfy clean hotel breakfast was only ok i would not stay again cause no way to get a good night sleep between the neighboors and the noisy A/C

Loved the property setting, service, price and amenities. Heat in room 132 ran like A/C for first 5 minutes whenever the thermostat kicked on. Bed platform was too large for king size bed and created a painful hazard to kneecaps when walking around the corners. Be aware. Otherwise, a very nice place with just a couple issues that should be easy to fix.

The room is far too small for a king bed. There is not enough room to walk around the desklet chair and the bed. And, the bed sits on a platform that has protruding sharp corners which clipped my shins every time I walked around it -- particularly at night. Everything looks like it was designed by a bunch of 24 year old new employees to Hilton. No closet? Just pegs and three hangers? The room looks sloppy all of the time. And, at 9 pm, after 12 hours of driving that day, the damn TV burst to life unexpectedly, woke me up and said "Welcome William!" Who's dumb idea was that? Everything was clean and new, but it was so gratuitously Gen Z that I decided to never return. I like most Hilton brands, but for now, Tru is dead to me. Back to the stability and good engineering of Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, since the building has hard walls on the too-too small rooms, it will need to be torn down when this brand fails.

Quick access to the hotel and in a safe and clean area! The entire staff was friendly and helpful but special thanks to George who went above and beyond. The rooms were clean and quiet. The hotel offers transportation to and from the hotel at any time, no need to wait a long time or schedule a time. They also will provide rides within a 3 mile radius! Highly recommend if staying in Albany

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent stay at your hotel. First, I had to wait for two and a half hours to check in, only to be told by the new group of receptionists at 3:00 PM that they were unaware guests were waiting. This is unacceptable and shows poor communication and management at the front desk. Second, during my three-day stay, housekeeping never came to clean my room, despite my repeated requests. I asked multiple times for my room to be cleaned, but no one ever showed up. This level of service is far below what I expect from a hotel of your standard, and it significantly impacted my experience.

We usually enjoy our stay at Tru by the airport, however I was not pleased with the check in this time. I was given keys to a room. Went to room and they didn’t work. Went back to front desk and they were reprogrammed. No apology. Went back to room and keys worked, only to find the room was already occupied. Thank god no one was there at the time. Went back to front desk to find I was given the wrong room. Again, no apology. My god I could have been put in a dangerous situation.

Staff were very nice, friendly. The only negative I would say is that the whole corridor from the elevator going into a lot of the rooms including mine had trash or crumbs which I thought was strange and I’ve never seen that at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Other than that all was good!!

As an airport hotel, it was fine. No frills but it was clean. On both times that I stayed, I waited for over 30 minutes to be picked up by the free shuttle though the location is about 2 minutes' drive away. The second time I had to call again to remind them that I was waiting, as no one told the driver, apparently... something to work on!

When checking in, the staff at the front desk was more interested in talking to/gossiping with each other than they were in checking me into the property. I had to extract all information that might be relevant to my stay (like when the airport shuttle left) as opposed to being offered it. I heard the woman at the front desk say that she was annoyed that a guest was annoyed at having to wait for the airport shuttle. I overheard her say “if he’s that worried about it, he can just walk.” When the big moment finally came, the airport shuttle driver knew almost nothing about the airport. Like “which way is American?” The lack of knowledge wasn’t an issue but the “i don’t know, I’ve never been to this airport” answer seemed like an unprofessional answer.

I was always happy booking the Hilton till this weekend spent with my husband and kids , we were so disappointed in the breakfast not even a good muffin & we were down by 8am . The coffee was horrible and the breakfast was terrible not even much to choose . We had to go over to a local diner … other than that , I love this place .. don’t say breakfast at the Hilton !!! It’s breakfast from hell !

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport. Enjoyed the variety of breakfast items. Food was not as hot as we would have liked, but several days were busy with large groups frequently opening the food warmers. Beds were very comfortable! Could have used a little drawer storage, but we made it work and will definitely be back.
