Hotel is in a run down area with abondoned buildings, but the outside of property is nice and clean. Inside is quaint and comfortable. Rooms are small, but have everything you need, clean and comfortable bed. Great breakfast every morning with plenty of options and seating. Beautiful outside courtyard with lots of trees, bushes and flowers. Small bar next to courtyard and rooftop bar and seating that has awesome view of city and Parthenon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Shopping and tons of restaurants are a block away. 20 minutes walk to Parthenon and 8 minutes to bus and subway. Very close and convenient to everything, would stay again and recommend

Clean room. Central. Staff very polite. However rooftop bar closed one of the 2 nights. That was the reason we picked the hotel due to the fabulous view of the acropolis. Very disappointing.

Das Apollo Palm Hotel hat für mich den Charme der Côte d'Azur nach Athen gebracht. Tolle Architektur und mit etwas Glück (oder der gebuchten Kategorie) im Zimmer hat man einen direkten Blick auf die Akropolis. Der Blick von der Dachterrasse auf die Akropolis ist unvergleichlich. Super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, große geräumige Zimmer, wir hatten eine Junior Suite und alles war super. Das Frühstück ist mehr als ausreichend mit klassischen und lokalen Köstlichkeiten. Ein zusätzlicher Mehrwert ist definitiv die Lage. Bars, Restaurants, Cafés in unmittelbarer Nähe und zu Fuß ist man in wenigen Minuten bei den Highlights wie der Akropolis, der römischen Agora, dem Zentralmarkt und vielem mehr. Auch die Metrostation Monastiraki ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt, was eine entspannte Anreise vom Flughafen mit der Metro ermöglicht.

I enjoyed my time at the Apollo Palms. We had a balcony suite with a view of the acropolis which was fantastic. Customer service is excellent. Roof top patio for breakfast and evening drinks was great.

Hotellet ligger väldigt bra i Monastiraki området. Nära till en fantastisk restaurang som heter Klimataria, gå och ät där! MEN hotellet har en likvärdig standard som ett 3stjärnigt hotell, inget speciellt alls. Frukosten var ok, rätt lite att välja på och det finns många närliggande caféer som jag hellre hade ätit min frukost på. Dessutom var rooftop baren stängd för renovering! Anledningen till att jag bokade just det här hotellet var just för rooftop bar och frukost. Blev oerhört besviken. Det stod i beskrivningen att dom öppnar baren i april vilket dom enligt personal inte alls var tänkt. Så, ja jag skulle inte bo där igen, bara om det blev billigare för nu betalade jag ganska mycket. Området är bra, känns tryggt och nära i princip till allt. Men eftersom boendet är dyrt så skulle jag inte rekommendera det till någon, tyvärr. Leta reda på ett billigare alternativ utan frukost och njut av att sitta ute på ett café och ät istället.

Great location. Yes, quite a bit of graffiti about, but you could say that for most of Athens. Area felt safe, and we were a group of friends in our late 50's, and had lots of restaurants and bars all very nearby. Hotel rooftop bar had great views and a nice vibe. The rooftop bar could be a bit noisy at the weekend (I stayed for 5 days covering that period) but we were also out late most nights so didn't really bother us. Would I stay again ? Yes and I have also recommended the property to family and close friends.

Pros: good location, excellent breakfast and a decent sized room. Cons: breakfast hours 8-11 am , so it is not convenient for people who go on day trips or to catch an early flight home. The rooftop terrace has a great view of the Acropolis but was closed for the season even the temperature was in the 70s. Total nonsense!

We booked a junior suite but it didn’t looked like in the pictures at all. It was more like a triple or family room that was outdated. Carpet was dirty and the bathroom has a smell with the faucet broken. Our flight got super delayed that we didn’t check in till early morning so we didn’t have any options since we are only staying there for a night. Breakfast has a good selection but the acropolis view is obstructed by the glass and buildings. Quite overpriced for the room quality.

Pros: The hotel's location was great, had a beautiful backyard with gorgeous trees. 2 minutes walk to the most happening area in Athens, lots and lots of restaurants, some with live music. Walking distance to Acropolis and so many other historic sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was excellent! Cons: The hotel needs some renovations. The lobby carpet was worn out terribly, some stairs were patched!! and the door getting outside looks really bad and needs paint. We had the most horrible view from our room which was a parking lot across the street plus some half-demolished properties. We preferred to close our curtains completely our entire stay. In our room, the carpet was very dirty, we didn't even like to take off our shoes after a long walking day, The closet was behind a curtain, no doors! the safe box which was covered with a mini curtain was not attached to the place, just to the outlet, even a kid can pull it out and carry it!! The hotel needs remodeling and updating.

Breakfast on the rooftop was very nice, however all the cheese and meats are in the direct sun. The staff and reception area was very good and nice to sit and relax after being out in the heat. The carpet was very dated and damaged in the room

Hôtel sympathique au personnel très agréable, très propre, à proximité immédiate de rues très fréquentées le soir pour leurs restaurants. Par contre taille des chambres anormale, 9 m2 pour une "chambre de ville", le lit est donc collé au mur sur un côté, et contrairement au descriptif expédia, la chambre n'est pas "séparée", le lavabo est dans la chambre! Petit déjeuner très bien, sauf qu'il n'y a pas de chocolat au lait, ils ne doivent pas voir passer d'enfants!

Really good hotel. Main problem was the air conditioning - you have to go to the desk to ask to turn it on, and it was still hot. No signs to tell you this; you have to figure it out yourself. Bed and bath are great, but Athens is hot in late June. It would be great to address AC operation without the guest having to sweat.

We checked out after one night of a seven night stay. Room was too small for two people with no space to walk around the bed. Carpets were ripped and stained. Staff were friendly but that is the only positive.

The room was really tiny and the sink for the bathroom was outside of the toilet/shower area. It was very small and had no Vanity area and was not private at all. The bed was comfortable, but it was tucked into three walls with no way to get out except on one side of the bed. The size and layout was not ideal, but it was high-quality and very clean. luckily we were only staying there one night. The breakfast was very good.

Great location and beautiful rooftop view! We really enjoyed our stay at Apollo Palm. The hotel is very well located — close to the Acropolis, Plaka, and central Athens. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was smaller than expected based on the photos, but honestly, we didn’t need much space since we were out exploring most of the time. The aesthetic of the hotel is retro and stylish, which we really liked. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar — the view of the Acropolis is stunning, especially at night. Definitely make time to go up there! Breakfast was also great, with a small buffet and different coffee options (plus coffee in the room). Overall, the value for the price was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Athens.

Loved that I had a great view of the Acropolis from my private balcony on the 4th floor. Good breakfast selections. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Nice bathroom amenities. The drink and cookies in the reception area is a welcome treat for the guests. The roof top bar and balcony was convenient and pleasant to rest in the evening.

Great little hotel in a quiet and convenient location, where everything was at a walkable distance. Loved the lemonade, cookies and sweets in the Reception which was welcoming. Staff were friendly and accommodating and quick to resolve issues.My friends and I shared a loft room. It was spacious and comfortable but I did find the loft ladder annoying to navigate but that’s possibly because I am not very young. My only negative comment is the carpet in the room and in the landing areas need to be changed as they were noticeably tired and stained. Will definitely stay here again recommend to friends.

We booked the Junior suite as we had my daughter with us and needed the space. We arrived delerious and tired from 28 hours travel to be put in a basic wheelchair enabled room. There was no space to even put our bags down, no sitting space at all and the bathroom had no benches to place even a shampoo and conditioner bottle. I was told there’s no other rooms available so I had no other choice which put a dampener on the stay. Let’s say the pictures are not what we got for the room we booked. The rooftop was nice and had great views but with smoking so prevalent in Greece the waitress smoking sent us on our way. The breakfast is included for everyone so if your not sure just walk in but it doesn’t start until 8 am, breakfast was great. The location of the hotel was good, a short distance to the square and flea markets and 20 mins walk to the Acropolis.
We booked the Junior suite as we had my daughter with us and needed the space. We arrived delerious and tired from 28 hours travel to be put in a basic wheelchair enabled room. There was no space to even put our bags down, no sitting space at all and the bathroom had no benches to place even a shampoo and conditioner bottle. I was told there’s no other rooms available so I had no other choice which put a dampener on the stay. Let’s say the pictures are not what we got for the room we booked. We were to have a junior suite at the Apollo Palm. However, we were notified while on our way there, via public transport from the airport, that they changed us to their sister property, Vasi. While the location of the Vasi was in our opinion better actually, the room was not. Small room, no frills at all, limited towels, and breakfast was lacking and we believe was the same products put out every day, nothing fresh. While they did give us free use of the mini bar, there was nothing much in it, and never replenished. They also provided us with a drink at the property we were booked for (where we wanted to be) at their rooftop bar. That has spectacular views. No restaurant or bar at the Vasi. We would book another alternative if we were to return. All that said, they have an employee at the desk whom was spectacular, Nikolas. He was wonderful, kind, understanding, informative, and engaging. Great young man.

I a not one to write reviews, especially something negative however, we were really disappointed. While the hotel grounds are gorgeous, we were a bit disappointed with the state of the room we were placed in. The room did not look like it had been cleaned as there was a stain on our comforter, an uncomfortable amount of dirt/ questionable black spots on our rug and a dirty shower. When we called to voice concern it was completely brushed off as the response was “it was cleaned”. No one offered to re-clean the room or place us in other room. If you are planning to be out and about in Athens all day this hotel is convenient in location. Walkable to everything in the city.

Very disappointing experience with this hotel!! My friend and I arrived to Athens around 12:00 and since we were not allowed to check in until 15:00, we had friends staying at another place so we dropped off our bags with them and spent the day enjoying Athens. At the end of the day, we finally headed back to the Apollo to check in, probably around 22:00 (I know this is late, but in our confirmation email, it said check in ended at any time and that the front desk would greet people on arrival). We get into the hotel and there is NO one there. Only a paper that said to contact the sister hotel for assistance and that no one would be there until 7:00 in the morning. We had to leave for our ferry at 5:00 am. We called the sister hotel and someone ended up coming an hour later. Very disappointed. No one contacted us prior to this saying no one would be there. Overall a very frustrating experience. Thank you to the guy who came from the sister hotel to help us.

We really liked this hotel. We were there one night. It was close to many great restaurants. There was a rooftop bar with a great view of the Acropolis. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had mentioned that my son and daughter in law would be there the day we checked out and were on their honeymoon. They said they were glad I told them and would make their stay special. They had roses and champagne waiting for them when they arrived!! So sweet! The rooms were a good size and clean. It’s close to many attractions too. I would recommend this hotel for sure!

For what we paid, it should have been fantastic. But the staff (checkin and at breakfast) act like they couldn’t be bothered to provide any service. At breakfast, the staff played on their phones while the buffet sat diminished and pathetic. While it’s walkable to some impressive sites (eg Parthenon), the immediate area is sad. We looked out over a concrete carpark covered in graffiti. While the stay was okay, there would be plenty of other great places no doubt for less money.

Hotel is in a run down area with abondoned buildings, but the outside of property is nice and clean. Inside is quaint and comfortable. Rooms are small, but have everything you need, clean and comfortable bed. Great breakfast every morning with plenty of options and seating. Beautiful outside courtyard with lots of trees, bushes and flowers. Small bar next to courtyard and rooftop bar and seating that has awesome view of city and Parthenon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Shopping and tons of restaurants are a block away. 20 minutes walk to Parthenon and 8 minutes to bus and subway. I don't think it was particularly unsafe, though, because there are many restaurants, bars, and entertainment with lots of people enjoying themselves just up a narrow street less than a block from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Apollo Palm Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options. It’s very close to Ermou street and many cafes, shops, and the market. We walked everywhere with no problem. The room was very clean and well kept each day. A great place to stay!

The room was dated and very small with the queen bed pushed into the space against the wall on 3 sides, making it necessary for one person to climb over and wake the other to get to the toilet during the night. The toilet seat was broken. The basin or vanity was in the bedroom and the carpet was old and stained. The breakfast which was from 8 until 11.00am consisted of many empty serving plates by 9.15am and several people had to ask the staff if there was anything else coming resulting in the staff ringing the kitchen and replenishing some of the buffet 15 minutes later. There was no greeting or welcoming smile at the buffet. The reception staff on the other hand were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: good location, excellent breakfast and a decent sized room. Cons: breakfast hours 8-11 am , so it is not convenient for people who go on day trips or to catch an early flight home. The rooftop terrace has a great view of the Acropolis but was closed for the season even the temperature was in the 70s. Total nonsense!

The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable, However, the carpet was stained and needs to be replaced, preferably a laminate or hard wood floor since it was hard to pull/push our luggage in carpet. The breakfast was a plus, delicious and the coffee machine was excellent. Best of all, the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop was AMAZING!!! The reception staff Angelo was knowledgeable; and Demetruis was helpful. I just wish the hotel was closer to Masiteraki Square, where the hop on-hop off bus and the flea market were located.
