What guests think

At La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeway, travelers highlight the walkable location near restaurants and HEB, friendly service, and generally solid complimentary breakfast, while some note noise from doors and walls and confusion over on-request housekeeping.

Rooms are often spacious and comfortable, with contemporary decor; a few guests mention stiff entry doors, older or limited TVs, and occasional AC noise. Cleanliness feedback is largely positive, but several reviews cite misses like shower grime, lingering odors, or mildew, and a small number report maintenance oversights in shared areas. Facilities feel updated, with a compact, clean pool and a decent gym mentioned; parking is easy mainly in the rear, though unloading lacks a covered drop-off and some find the lobby doors or elevator awkward. Expect a convenient, quiet-area stay with friendly vibes and minor tradeoffs.

The property and the hotel were very nice. The young lady that checked us in was very sweet and friendly. Two comments: 1. when you enter the hotel through the first automatic door, instead of going straight into the lobby, you have to go to the right and then through the second automatic door, which is a very poor design. We wondered if the 2nd automatic door was put in wrong! 2. The elevator is narrow, especially if you’re using the baggage cart. It is very cumbersome to maneuver the cart into the elevator. A few things to consider for future properties.

We had a great stay, the hotel was very nice. The only thing is that there is no cover drive up to the front doors. We had to take the luggage cart across the parking lot to unload our things. Not terrible but also not ideal, if it was raining when you arrived there is NO cover/protection and that would suck.

I enjoy being able to open the curtains and see the view. I enjoy the privacy and being able to walk around outdoors in a safe environment. I love that HEB is walking distance and I have enough counter space to cook. I love that there is a pet store nearby and I can visit the cat, Molly, who is waiting to be adopted. I enjoy the clean gym and complimentary breakfast with organic chocolate milk. I wish the pool was a bit more private.

Pros: front desk staff seemed very nice and attentive. The breakfast features chocolate waffles which I particularly loved and was well organized. All shared spaces were quite clean and peaceful. Cons: the superior room wasn't quite giving Superior, the rooms weren't dirty but if you like finding random pieces of hair this will be the room for you. Especially in your bed. Even after requesting a cleaning the mystery hair was still present. Overall decent stay ,just a few tweaks needed to be made in regards to the laundry department.

Located in a good area near lots of places to eat; however, most are fast food. HEB is right next door, which was convenient for water, etc. There was only one person working at the front when we arrived and there were a couple of other customers, so there was a bit of a wait. I’d been inside previously and no one was at the front desk. Shower head dripped lots of water and there was some mold/mildew in the corner of the shower. Plus, the bath mat was very tattered. Not what I expected from a property that still looks new in common areas. The pillows and beds weren’t that comfortable.

Nice property - clean and new. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good dining options nearby. No local channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS) were available on the TV in the room. Although room service was advertised in the room, the “participating” restaurant was completely unaware and would not deliver food to the room (High 5 in Lakeway).

This hotel was great! Great location, great layout with a little sitting area for work. There was a tv in the sitting area and the bed are which was nice. The only bummer was the tvs were outdated; not smart tvs. Almost useless. The beds could use more blankets. But in general it was a great location and place, I’d definitely stay again.
