Place is just beautifull but the price doesn't match at all with the experience. We booked a room with garden view. Cost around USD800 without breakfast. There was no AC in the room. It was really too hot for us to stay there so we went to the reception. They acknowledged the problem and gave us an option to upgrade for USD400 incl taxes. We did it cause there was no way we could stay in that room. We got a ocean view bungalow. View was great but for a USD1.200 a night ocean bungalow you expect much more. When we pened a drawer of the bathroom the whole front of the sinkfelt down ( a wooden plate of around 4 mters wide).Fortunately it didn't fall on anybody's feet. Rooms are outdated and some parts don't look very clean as they are very old. Also the employees told us many people complained about missing AC's in garden view rooms. Gym was very basic. Breakfast was ok but we needed to wait for 1 hour to get breakfast. Very slow service. We know that Hana is less city-like and more rural but if you pay such high amounts for a room you expect at least some service back. For us once and not again. Without the view we would have rated the hotel a 5. Becaue of the view it's a 7

Awesome location, infinity pool with ocean view - nothing beats that! Only one restaurant (being in a remote location, it’s understandable) but fortunately, the restaurant has many really good options; great food and excellent service. Overall, everything was perfect: the bungalow and the staff (front desk & shuttle drivers).

We are so glad that we did! This resort is beautiful, clean, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a quiet stay. Upon checking in we were given a free upgrade without even asking! Staff are very kind and helpful, and they have golf carts available to drive you between locations at the resort. We would highly recommend trying the water journey at the spa!

Amazing break from everyday life in absolute comfort. We got upgrade to an ocean from room for free. Loved to have the gym and free yoga.:) the main pool was drained & refilled the 2 days we were there, so that was a bummer, but still had the other pool to use. Would love to stay here again.

The young lady who checked us was exceptionally wonderful, so throughly professional. The 2 guys who drive the golf carts are very nice.

If you have the opportunity to spend a night or more in Hana, this is the place to stay! My kids felt like they were living in Jurassic Park! The resort is beautiful. The Ocean view bungalows are private and clean (there was the odd spider, beetle, and gecko. But you are in a rainforest!). The deck on the bungalows was one of my favourite spots to sit and read! The people at the resort are friendly and go above and beyond. The pool and bonfire area are gorgeous.
If you have the opportunity to spend a night or more in Hana, this is the place to stay! My kids felt like they were living in Jurassic Park! The resort is beautiful. Beautiful hotel with idyllic setting in Hana Maui. Large rooms which now have Air conditioning!!! and amazing views. Unfortunately they removed the Jacuzzi that was at the end of their beautiful pool. We feel that this was a big mistake and always looked forward to spending time in the Jacuzzi watching the ocean and unwinding from our day in Hana or our drive out from Central Maui. One of the true highlights of our multiple stays there in the past. There are rumors that they are going to be putting it back in which I hope is true. They cannot consider themselves a resort or spa destination without it! Food and setting for breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately, they have also now closed the restaurant for dinner and the only option is to go across the street to Hana Ranch restaurant. Food is good but hopefully the resort can figure out a way of opening the restaurant or bar area for evening snacks or food and drink to elevate it back to the level this property so deserves.

We loved the property. It had so many features that we didn’t pay attention to when we booked and we were bummed that we only stayed one night and didn’t get to enjoy everything. Multiple pools and one with nice views o the water, a cool fitness center experience, pitch and putt, tennis… and on. If we ever come back to Hana, this is the first place we will look. The only downsides compared to some other hotels was that we did not have air conditioning. There was also no tv, which didn’t bother us much because we don’t really watch TV but if we were traveling with more family, I could see that and the AC being an issue for them.

We found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. However, the staff were very friendly, and in the morning we enjoyed the area, it is very beautiful. In short, the rooms are way overpriced, no where near how they should be for $600 per night with no ocean view.

We stayed at the Hana-Maui Resort so we could visit the attractions along the Road to Hana over two days. I wish we had been able to stay longer, as the hotel was fabulous. Our room with two queen beds was spacious and very clean, There was also a kitchenette and outdoor furniture as well. The bathroom was large, with both a soaking tub and a shower. The check-in process was easy and the golf cart that took us to our room was driven by a friendly and helpful young man. He also drove us to dinner later that evening and the food was wonderful.

Nice property and great location but it’s not worth the price. Lots of ants were in the room. Restaurants were just ok. Better to stay elsewhere and leave early for the drive to Hana so that you can drive back to your hotel.

The ocean/mountain/ground views were unique, and beautiful. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The bungalow was exceptional, with views, close to parking lot, and roomy. No TV. What a great idea.

First the bad news, there are no TVs in any of the rooms and the wifi is pretty much non-existent. The A/C in our room did not well enough to get the room below 75 degrees. The good news is the staff is very helpful and very kind. The location is spectacular. For $750 per night, the value is marginal. It is also worth mentioning, the road to Hana is an adventure in and of itself, and I don't mean that in a good way. As beautiful as it is, we would not return to this property.

The oldest hotel on Maui. Beautifully manicured grounds, very peaceful. Our room was quite sizable in one of the cottages. Quite pricey, but as it is remote and you get the 5* experience despite the fact that you can see the hotel isn’t the most modern. Overall wonderfull and very friendly staff!

My husband and I stayed at the Hana Maui resort for our honeymoon. We stayed for 10 nights, which we were quickly told by locals is much longer than most people tend to stay in Hāna. We are so glad that we did! This resort is beautiful, clean, and perfect for anyone who enjoys a quiet stay. Upon checking in we were given a free upgrade without even asking! Staff are very kind and helpful, and they have golf carts available to drive you between locations at the resort. We would highly recommend trying the water journey at the spa!

Sad experience. The on site restaurant, which had been excellent, was closed and the replacement is down the street, and underwhelming. The concierge gave us bad information (which I’ve never had happen at a hotel before). The staff disappeared when it was time to help us find our room. Still a beautiful place to be, but it’s less than it was on our previous visits. Obvious deferred maintenance.

Loved the location, but property is a bit dated. Also, I had an activity booked and no hotel staff showed up to lead it. When I called the front desk, they said they'd ask their activity lead if anyone was coming and text me back. 30 min later I got a text that so activities that day were cancelled. That's a big reason why the resort was so appealing and they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me when I checked in and told them how excited I was for the activities (hula dancing, lei making, yoga).

Gorgeous property. The staff was equally amazing especially Selma & Kepa. Everything about our stay was amazing. We only stayed 1 night which was too short. Longer next time it is expensive but worth the splurge.

This is a small, quiet resort with beautiful views of the ocean. The bungalows are very comfortable. It was a very relaxing place to stay for a couple of days while hiking and exploring Hana and the surrounding area. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Recommend waking up for an early morning swim while watching the sun rise over the ocean!

Awesome location, infinity pool with ocean view - nothing beats that! Only one restaurant (being in a remote location, it’s understandable) but fortunately, the restaurant has many really good options; great food and excellent service. We stayed at the Hana-Maui Resort so we could visit the attractions along the Road to Hana over two days. I wish we had been able to stay longer, as the hotel was fabulous. Our room with two queen beds was spacious and very clean, There was also a kitchenette and outdoor furniture as well. The bathroom was large, with both a soaking tub and a shower. The check-in process was easy and the golf cart that took us to our room was driven by a friendly and helpful young man. He also drove us to dinner later that evening and the food was wonderful.

The property is simply stunning in its natural beauty and the service was impeccable. Our bungalow, while lovely, could use a little refresher in terms of paint, etc. The views are world class. Hana is a quaint little town, not overly tourist-y. Lots of local flavor.

First the bad news, there are no TVs in any of the rooms and the wifi is pretty much non-existent. The A/C in our room did not well enough to get the room below 75 degrees. The good news is the staff is very helpful and very kind. The location is spectacular. For $750 per night, the value is marginal. It is also worth mentioning, the road to Hana is an adventure in and of itself, and I don't mean that in a good way. As beautiful as it is, we would not return to this property.

We chose the Hana Maui as a one-night stopover on our drive along the Road to Hana. We were surprised to see that we were in an Oceanside cabin with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. This was a spectacular location and one I would highly recommend for either a one-night stop or a week long stay. Great staff as well.

Nice property and great location but it’s not worth the price. Lots of ants were in the room. Restaurants were just ok. Better to stay elsewhere and leave early for the drive to Hana so that you can drive back to your hotel.

I wish the bar menu was more friendly for healthy eating, vegan options and had mocktail options as well. I wanted to enjoy the live music but had probably the worse mocktail ever and the waitress seemed oblivious that I never drank any of it. They had good food across the street but no music there. Also when we checked in, the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. But our keys didn't work and we had to wait a while to get someone to bring us keys to the ocean villa and when they came, they were not so friendly and acted like we were putting them out. I also wish there was more of a kitchenette in the ocean villas as eating options are so limited in Hana. Otherwise the ocean villas and the property were beautiful and Hana of course is beautiful. Also appreciated we could walk to food trucks etc.

Beautiful hotel with idyllic setting in Hana Maui. Large rooms which now have Air conditioning!!! and amazing views. Unfortunately they removed the Jacuzzi that was at the end of their beautiful pool. We feel that this was a big mistake and always looked forward to spending time in the Jacuzzi watching the ocean and unwinding from our day in Hana or our drive out from Central Maui. One of the true highlights of our multiple stays there in the past. There are rumors that they are going to be putting it back in which I hope is true. They cannot consider themselves a resort or spa destination without it! Food and setting for breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately, they have also now closed the restaurant for dinner and the only option is to go across the street to Hana Ranch restaurant. Food is good but hopefully the resort can figure out a way of opening the restaurant or bar area for evening snacks or food and drink to elevate it back to the level this property so deserves.

This is an older resort that is in a truly beautiful location. Our room was very spacious and had a wonderful deck that overlooked the ocean. We were disappointed that the A/C didn’t work well enough to cool the room, but the evening sea breeze made it comfortable enough.
