What guests think

Across many reviews, guests describe MJ INN and SUITES as a clean, budget-friendly stay with friendly, accommodating staff and generally satisfying complimentary breakfast, though a few note shortcomings like inconsistent breakfast replenishment and the property’s lack of an elevator.

Rooms often feel comfortable or updated, but several guests report thin walls and noise from neighbors or the road, and amenities like microwaves or fridges vary by room type. The rural location is convenient for Allegheny National Forest access, yet local dining options are limited. Expect a simple, clean, friendly stay.

The staff at this place was the best part. We felt like we were staying with friends. They took such good care of us, I know it was only 1 night but the hospitality was great! The ONLY reason it’s a 4 star and not 5 is because of there being no pool. If there was a pool this would have easily been a 5!

Clean well kept property. Manager was really great. She really is an asset to the place. Breakfast was not fancy but fresh and well stocked. Coffee was very good. Lack of an elevator might be an issue for some. They offered to move us to the first floor but had an unexpected arrival of many disabled guests so we were fine with the single flight of stairs. I found the 2-night stay to be a pleasant and plan to return.

A big disappointment was the lack of an elevator. Another was no outside seating. Girl at the desk had no idea how we could get on the internet. Nor did she have any idea of things to do since she was from South Carolina

I didn’t like the fairly large black spider I seen on the Hallway Wall, that I promptly killed with My foot. I also didn’t like the Miniature Armadillo Bugs on the Bathroom floor, that I also exterminated. And the Last Bug above the Mirror in the Living Room. Which I also eliminated. Other than all the Bugs & Spider everything was ok.

We booked a room with one queen size bed. We were very disappointed that the room didn’t have a refrigerator and later learned if we had booked a room with 2 queen size beds, a refrigerator would be included in the room. I have dietary restrictions and brought food that needed to be refrigerated. I’m glad that we had access to ice, but I’ve never stayed at a hotel that didn’t have a refrigerator!

My stay was great! And the guy at the front desk was amazing! We were leaving at 430am and the guy at the desk heard my son talking about breakfast and had breakfast out for him when we left even though it was so early. That was so nice of him and above and beyond. It really made my sons day starting off at 430am with a waffle and muffins and juice. Thanks for a great stay and thanks for the great staff as well!

booked a room through hotels.com, redeemed a free night. then the motel charged my credit card for the whole amount and refuses to refund it. on top of it all the lady at the front counter refused to accept a card for the pet charge and required cash, which she pocketed. shady place, do not stay here, it'll cost you double.
