Howard's Creek Inn

What guests think

At Howard's Creek Inn, travelers describe spacious, apartment-style units that are generally very clean and comfortable, a convenient small-town location by the creek, and recurring noise, parking challenges, and check-in delays tied to the restaurant.

Many guests praise the attached restaurant's food and convenience. Some report maintenance or amenity gaps, such as confusing HVAC or TV controls, limited kitchen items, or unfinished touches, and bed comfort varies. Overall, the stay feels more home-like than hotel-like.

Check in is done at the restaurant bar. That was weird. The property itself was fine but there’s really not anything around it other than the Greenbrier. The restaurant attached to the property had good food. The restaurant doesn’t open until 11:00 so you just leave when you check out.

We loved it. Lovely large rooms w/living room kitchen & dining room. No stove but that was very clearly stated when booking so no problem. Clean and recently renovated. Restaurant/bar associated was quite good. Staff were outstanding! Close to Greenbriar & Lewisburg. Highly recommend

The place was very clean and nice except they left the music playing all night at the outdoor part of the restaurant, which made it hard to sleep. The bed was as hard as a rock. Parking was not great but they were friendly and it was clean.

The room was great, clean and comfortable. Well decorated. Check in was a bit of a challenge. You must check in at the restaurant below and it took a while to find someone who could find our reservation (about 15+ minutes). Other than that the place was great. Restaurant below closes at 9:00 so noise is not an issue. Great BBQ down the block. We will stay again when in WV.

It is a quaint place, very roomy with a kitchen and living room outside of the bedroom. There's a nice restaurant there too. However, the room didn't have a place in the bedroom to place a suitcase. (I was there for just one night and didn't unpack.) A luggage rack or even a chair would have been helpful to place the open suitcase.

It was an interesting stay. You check in at the restaurant and the staff there was very friendly. We stayed in a room that was near the highway so it was quite loud at times. For some reason there was an empty unused antique curio cabinet sitting in the bedroom taking up space. The TV channel choices were limited but overall a decent stay.

Checking in took quite awhile as we had to check in at the restaurant and the waitresses were busy and we had to wait quite awhile to get into our room after traveling over 8 hrs. The noise from the restaurant beneath us was very loud waking us up on Thursday night. On Friday night it was even louder, then the cleaning & slamming the doors was very irritating! Overall - not a great stay!

I thought the staff was excellent, i never met them but they are very nice abd helpful. I could not make the trip due illness, i couldn't get anyone from expedia to help me. So i called the Hotel and they said they would gladly return my money, but expedia would not let them. So Hotel staff was amazing. Expedia was the worst, will stay at hotel but will never use expedia again.
