Maison 66, Riviera Hotels

What guests think

At Maison 66, Riviera Hotels, travellers frequently praise the friendly, helpful staff and the beachside location with easy tram and bus access, though several note ongoing construction nearby that affects views and creates early morning noise.

The area suits beachgoers, but it is far from central Athens. Facilities are simple, with several mentions of no bar or pool, and parking reported as available. Rooms vary in size and comfort, with occasional very firm beds, weak air conditioning, or limited views. Overall, expect a practical beachside base with convenient transport, but factor in construction and limited facilities.

The property itself was clean and well-appointed. Our party had an afternoon check-in and a very early (4 am) checkout. I can't speak to the breakfast. Only issue for us was that the hotel said they were not able to arrange transfers from the port or to the airport - while most other hotels in the area did do this (including the one in Athens we stayed at in the beginning of our journey to Greece).

Location

Close to the beach with tram and bus links nearby, making it convenient for the Athens Riviera. Downsides are major construction across the street, a busy road, and distance from central Athens; some also found nearby public beaches dirty.

The hotel was next to a MAJOR CONSTRUCTION SITE! The hotel was dark and dusty. The pictures in the advertisements are not at all accurate! My wife has a severe health condition and we expected to be able to enjoy the patio-deck with a partial view of the sea. We could not! The construction noise of materials being thrown down a chute 4 stories and workmen yelling, and power equipment was deafening. I spoke to the manager, Nikos, and he said it would stop at the end of the day. We left and we have not received any refund! I have spoke to Expedia and told they can not or will not do anything. Additionally, the food is borderline, and the cafe is not great. DO NOT STAY HERE. The coastal area is a mess! Contruction everywhere and the beaches nearby are poor. Need major cleanup.

Flott lite hotell, men litt usentralt.
