Hampton Inn Saline

What guests think

Across recent reviews, Hampton Inn Saline earns strong praise for very clean, modern rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, and a generally satisfying complimentary breakfast, with convenient access to Ann Arbor making it a practical base for business and family stays.

Guests appreciate the gym and pool and find parking easy, though a few report temporary pool closures, smaller size, colder water, or occasional odors. Location suits drivers, but walkable dining is limited and some highway noise or thin walls can disturb sleep. Several note comfortable layouts, while a handful found mattresses firm or pillows too soft. Expect a comfortable, well-run stay.

This hotel was very clean and looked to be newly remodeled. Rooms were spacious. We stayed in a king suite. Plenty of room in the bedroom and living area. The bathroom was small and lacked storage. There were some drawers in the living area but not a whole lot. The closet was big. We were able to hang things up we needed. Maidservice was scarce, but we were able to call downstairs and get more clean towels when we needed. Breakfast was pretty standard, with slight variations throughout the days we were there. The eating area was very clean with ample seating. There was a nice variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase that could be charged to your room. The first night we went down to the pool it stunk like sewage. A couple nights later we returned and it smelled better. The water was a bit cold but was fine after you were in it for a little bit. There was a nice firepit outside but it was too cool for us to sit outside. The parking situation was a little odd as the front parking lot of a hotel shared a parking with an Ace Hardware. There was parking around the side of the hotel but it could be more of a walk for people with disabilities. Overall, we would stay here again. The rooms were clean and had all the ammenties we could ask for. Parking was good and you were very close to the highway and interstate to get into Ann Arbor. Besides the lack of restaurants around the area, it was an overall pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay everything in the building is clean and well kept the room bathroom was great. The morning breakfast was wonderful. Couldn’t ask for more. The staff was very friendly and we just had a great day. The pool was very accessible and clean and the fitness room was large enough to work out in and had many things you could use to get a good workout in.

I would have appreciated a second chair in the room. Only one place to sit other than the beds was a bit difficult for a five-day stay. Luckily, one of the staff was kind enough to give us a rolling desk-type chair that we used, and that was fine. I'm not sure how we would have managed without it.

The food was a 2 out of 10. Hard boiled eggs you had to peel yourself, very few options for breakfast, mediocre oatmeal, strange already prepared a while ago and warmed up fried eggs. Its not that hard to serve scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon. Buy the hard boiled eggs that are pre-peeled. Offer something besides tiny little storebought muffins for a bread option.
