We loved hearing the river at night. The balcony is very nice, so we could sit there in the afternoons/evenings. The place is a little old, definitely built in a different era. Walking distance from the Argo mine is a plus. We could leave our car at the hotel, which was nice. Now you have to pay for parking in Idaho Springs.

Argo Inn is a humble and simple place. The rooms are not equipped with table for eating, and has no cups, plates etc. The fridge in our room could not be adjusted, and it was generating freezing temp. The bathroom was worn out, and it took a while to get nice hot water, but it came. The beds were very good. An acceptable place, but not like really nice.

We spent one night in Idaho Springs on our way to Nederland and Estes Park. This is a small, but very cute and busy town, conveniently located off of the interstate. The room was nice, very clean with a nice hot shower and comfortable beds. It was a fine place to stay for the night and we were satisfied with everything.

Extremely outdated, worn and dirty/stained furniture, carpet, bathroom tile. Wallpaper peeling and pieced together. Rusty metal air conditioner. Could see daylight through room door. Bathroom door didn’t fit or close. Shower ceiling cracked, falling in and moldy. One “amenity” in room was coffee maker but didn’t trust the cleanliness so didn’t use. Check-in staff was rude. Safety was questionable. View from small dirty patio was beautiful but not worth feeling uncomfortable in the room. Would have cancelled upon check in if refund would have been possible. Do not recommend!
