Great hotel for a relatively affordable stay for your trip to Charleston. Overall mostly positive things to say about it; comfortable and (mostly) clean room, good amenities and great location. Best part: it's extremely conveniently located - 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Charleston and area attractions in every direction, plus so much less expensive than some comparable options in the downtown. Great area to stay in. Good: room was really spacious, really felt like we had a little apartment. Bed was comfy, and cleanliness could've been better but not terrible or anything. Just Okay: Guy was visibly frustrated at checkin, which is fine and I can understand youre busy but he barely said much to me and was not welcoming. No overview of the hotel or anything other than our room number. It was odd. On a busy weekend, returning at night makes it extremely hard to find a spot on the front of the building, which is where more than half of the parkling lot is. There's only one entrance, so if you have to go park around back, you have to walk all the way around to get inside. The parking lot was just designed poorly. The pool was nice, but it needed to be cleaned and there was an obnoxious guy staying there trying to use the grill and pool area as his personal patio and let his dog get in the pool, which isn't allowed and is clearly on the pool rules sign. But, there clearly was no one monitoring the pool area throughout the day, as we found dog hairs in the water.

I stayed here for three weeks for a work trip. The location is great to explore all Charleston has to offer. The rooms feel like they are your own little apartment. I utilized the gym often which I enjoyed. The weekends are more busy, as to be expected. But the kids come and go.

I will start with the first issue which was that on the site it said electric chargers only to find out it was a Tesla charger only which didn't help us. Room 408 had minimal hot water, the sink didn't have a drain cap( not a big deal, but still shouldn't happen), Breakfast wasn't very appetizing, and pool is really small. Oh yeah and our fridge wasn't working either to top it all off. I am not sure I would stay there again even if they gave me 3 free nights. Watch yourself on this one.

Rooms were spectacular for the price and facilities are good as well

The hotel itself was wonderful, and they did what they could to help with the noise. There were very loud children screaming at the pool until like 10:30pm. Unfortunately our room was on the pool side. Also, the ac was leaking badly and there was a huge puddle in front of the unit. However, the room was spacious and modern, and we could stay for a lot longer thanks to the full kitchen and amenities. Breakfast was lovely, and I think it would have been a perfect stay had it not been for the loud guests.

I found it wonderful place to stay in the Mt. Pleasant, Charleston area. I really liked the kitchenet part of the suite. Nice pool area, an area with Weber grills for grilling.

Room was Immaculate and staff was incredibly nice- the only problem was the noise! It was off a busy road for one and could hear traffic all night. Also, make sure you get a room on the TOP floor! I was on the 3rd and it sounded like kids were bowling upstairs! If it wasn’t noisy, it would be perfect!!! oh, and couldn’t use the pool. There was some kind of softball/soccer party and they had the entire area taken up.

Hotel had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay: gym, full breakfast, laundry and a kitchen in our room. We were very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, good water pressure and I liked the soaps, lotion and conditioner provided. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Sort distance to Walmart and target. The only issue we had was the hotel was very crowded and loud with families. Seating area in lobby was dirty and elevators needed cleaning. Our room was clean however and we enjoyed our stay.

Room was large and comfy but what surprised me: one could stay a week or longer! Kitchenette with full frig, stovetop, cookware, dishes, cutlery, toaster oven, microwave.... Modern leather sofa, bed with a top-shelf mattress and nice bed linens. On a 90° June day, other hotel guests were enjoying the pool and exercise amenities. I was thankful for shady areas in which to park. Also, location was close to great eateries in Mount Pleasant as well as to the meeting I had scheduled .

Extremely clean. No issues with anything. Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect hotel experience! Will definitely choose again if given the opportunity.

Overall exceptional. We anticipate a fairly long stay in the city soon and opted to “test drive” here. This room is adequate size and amenities for a longer stay. Very clean. Comfortable furnishings. Only negative is carpet is completely worn to threadbare in places and undoes all the other positives. Replacement NEEDS to be an absolute priority in this room.

This hotel was beyond our expectations! It was super clean and had the nicest people working there. Our room was huge and I was amazed by that considering we just got a basic double queen room. We will definitely be coming back here again!

We have two rooms on room 514 was plenty of cockroaches.

Left with bed bug bites, most of the outlets in the room don’t work/ stop working mid-charge, food delivery trash sat in the hallway for days (housekeeping walked by it,) So disgusted and disappointed

Our room was nice and clean, however the air blowing on us during the night gave us both a stuffy nose. We couldn't turn it off because it would have been too stuffy in the room. We loved having the kitchen with a 12 cup coffee pot because the coffee downstairs was horrible. We brought our own.

Towneplace Suites is a great brand in general. Roomy, organized, a kitchen! It offers easy access to Isle of Palms. Staff is great.

Property was in a convenient location with easy access to Charleston. Walls were not soundproof as I could hear people having conversation in next room. Bed was comfortable but none of the pillows were suitable for my liking.

We loved our stay. Our room was clean and very spacious - having the mini kitchen was a bonus that we appreciated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We would definitely look to stay here again if ever in the area and will keep this company in mind for future travels!

Nothing was too much trouble for him. We stayed here versus downtown Charleston and was happy that we did as it was close to Isle of Palms (nice beach area with restaurants) and then also to Sullivan island for Yorktown museum and Ship. The hotel was clean, quiet and great value for money.

Overall a great experience! Michael was a great help to us in getting us a confirmation as well as checking us in. The entire staff was fantastic. We will definitely return to this location on our next trip to Charleston.

The people were great. The place was well kept. The only issue was one morning my son got a milk and it had soured and got clumps. The fridge for it wasn't cold enough and stayed barelycold. However once I brought it to their attention they went through the milk. We would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Made the stay much nicer. I liked how they had thongs that could be borrowed if n3eded.

Rooms were not cleaned for three days. Breakfast was mediocre at best. They have feather pillows, and when asked for foam, we were given more feather. The hotel was notified prior to our arrival of a late check in and I gave them a time frame. When we arrived, within my timeframe given, the front desk person said they tried to check us in with the card used to hold the rooms earlier and was unable to out loud. The entire experience was not the best. When they finally cleaned our room on day 3, they did take care of everything. We will not stay here again.

The stay was fine but check in was not. Arrived at 3:05 pm and was told we could not check in until 4 pm. I am sure rooms were ready but the person at the desk was not willing to give us our room a little early. We had an event we had to be at 4 pm. Not great service.

Close to everything in Mount Pleasant

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were impressed with the variety and quality of the breakfast options and the coffee was also very good. We had a problem with the cable on the tv the first night but by the next evening it was fixed.

A perfect stay. Comfy clean rooms with a nice table and chairs along with a kitchen area. The hotel was clean and the gentleman at the front desk was so nice. My only suggestion would be if you enjoy oatmeal, set your alarm. It goes quickly. There were a number on annoyed guests because it ran out early and the staff wouldn’t make more
