What guests think

Across recent reviews, Quality Inn & Suites Davenport near I-80 is described as a clean, older-value hotel with friendly staff, comfortable quiet rooms, and a generally good breakfast at a reasonable price point.

I was tired of paying such high prices at nearby hotels. This location is showing it's age, but a friendly staff and basically clean rooms has won me over. It is a little bit like walking in to a mid-century hotel that could use some updating. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of parking. For the lower room rate I am willing to overlook the thin towels, trouble with the door cards, and the same hot breakfast choice every time I've been there. (I can fix that by bringing my own towels and go down the street for food)The motel itself is pretty quiet considering it's pretty close to a major city street. The staff is always friendly, and seeing the same people working every time I've stayed here makes me think the management must treat their employees fairly well. If they could change up the hot breakfast every once in a while, invest in some thicker towels, and fix those dang door locks, I'd be tempted to give 5 stars.

This is EXACTLY what a hotel in this price range should be. They are clean, friendly, attractive, and affordable. I had one minor problem and they addressed it immediately beyond my expectations. Many midrange hotels are surface clean but not really clean. This place felt completely clean. I've stayed in a different hotel for 10 nights in a row. This was such a welcomed surprise. I would definitely return!

Didn't have much time for breakfast but what I did have was pretty good. Biscuits and gravy and a scrambled egg dish. Glancing around the breakfast area, it looked like they had a bit of everything. The breakfast area is very cramped. But I normally eat in my room anyway, so not a big deal. The hotel is a bit dated and so the walls and ceilings aren't as sound-proof as a pricier hotel. But, not terrible either. The bed was very comfortable. The TV must have a million channels available. The best part was the staff. I needed a late check out as I was running the very popular Bix 7 race here. They ended up delaying the start of the race and I was worried I wouldn't get back, showered, and checked out on time. But the front desk folks were very understanding and couldn't have been nicer. Honestly, the staff, the location, and the reasonable price makes this hotel a hidden gem. I'll likely stay here again.
