Motel 6 – San Jose, CA - South

Great location next to highway 101 with many restaurants nearby within walking distance. A large parking lot for trucks and trailers. Simple and convenient.

Plenty of trailer parking out back. Seemed like pretty secure and well lit back there.

The pool and laundry facilities are small yet excellent.

It appears that we were given a room designed for handicapped persons, as the bathroom had a wide doorway and a shower that could accomodate a wheelchair. In addition, the only parking slots outside were for disabled persons. That was a bit of a bother, as we had to park further away from the room. The room itself was clean and included a microwave and a refrigerator. However, there was no dresser and no place to hang our clothes. There was a small table, at least. The bathroom did not include a vanity or shelves, so I had to place my toiletry kit in front of the TV. This former Motel 6 also lacked some of the amenities that Hotels.com had listed for it; there was no breakfast (just coffee) and no indoor pool. The outdoor pool was not open at 9am, when I intended to use it. At least there really was a laundry room!

I do motel 6 twice a week ,,, not just the San Jose location , anywhere the night catches me I’ll search for a motel 6 ,,, a lot of reasons just to pick them … not that expensive , reliable, lots of parking space ,, free by the way .. come on

This hotel is not Robinson Inc. This hotel name is a motel six. The pool water was green. The room floor was dirty.

A pretty good area, has a good selection of places to eat and are walkable as well. Parking is a bit harder to obtain but otherwise everything is great.

So dirty. Hair still all over the floor beds and shower. Brought in my own blanket and slept on top of bed. Will not use this hotels app again.

I had a horrible day. I was bit by bedbugs all over my body. The room was extremely dirty had roaches everywhere. It was located in a very high crime area. I felt very unsafe.

Not the park Inn. Advertised incorrectly. Horrible motel. Mold. Dirty. Layer of dirt on walls. Broken shower faucet.

Bed sheets were reused, not washed with visible stains. There is no shampoo in the bathroom. I did not expect much for a motel room, but these things are the basic necessities that must be provided. I am not going back to this place, regardless how cheap it is.

I would like my money back our front door did not shut completely when I brought it up to staff they said that they can’t help me . No hot water in the showers and no heat . I need my money back this is not okay also lots of roaches and black widows dirty sheets and no towels

Definitely an affordable hotel. Room was clean. Bathroom was nice no complaints.

Two cockroaches found in the room, hair on the sheets, poor hygiene，The sprinkler system outside the door is so loud！

Didn't like anything about it. I got in the room and a roach ran from under the refrigerator. The room want cleaned and the towels were dirty. The mattress looked like a ten ton boulder had been dropped on it. I went to the store and turned the lights out when I left, I turned them back on when I got back in and roaches were running out from under the bed. I was only able to kill a couple. I called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, the last yelled at me and told me there were no more rooms left toove me to, unless I went to the back building that had no hot water. Notthatthe water was off for a moment, it actually had no hot water because it's under construction. When I said I wouldn't go to a room with no hot water she got irate and said I could take a shower in the room that in, go to the new room with no hot waterand shower again in the morning.in the old room and be moved to another room that next afternoon. I couldn't believe her attitude for one, then to see so many roaches running around one room iknewthatthe whole place was infested. I had booked with Expedia and after a little back and forth a manager finally called me and handled the situation in a way that I thought was fit and fair for having made a non refundable reservation.

Located across from the freeway without a sound way to block noise.

First off, I could not find it, as the GPS took me to a Motel 6. So I went in and asked and found a piece of paper on the counter that ID’s this place as the Park Inn by Radisson. The outside signs say Motel 6. OK, fine. Maybe some type of subcontracting going on. Good help at the front desk. Very nice and efficient. Room is small but functional. No shampoo, just two tiny bars of soap and a couple of towels. Not clean, but not too dirty either. Found debris on the floor. The general smell of “wet dog” was present, but not too strong. No iron either, which is useful for travelers. Oh well. Budget motel. This is not the hotel’s fault, but the reason for the bad score was the other patron’s actions. There were dogs in some rooms and kids walking in diapers outside. Also, in-between-housing people would have cars with every imaginable item stuffed in them in the parking lot. Every night people would talk loudly outside until late. Not partying, just blabbing away. At 6am on the nose, the motorcycles would start and idle before leaving, this would go one for quite a while until it quieted down. Not good if you wanted to sleep late. Not good for business travel. Best to avoid if possible. Again, the workers were nice. The place was so-so, but the rest of the guests took away from the civility of staying in a hotel/motel. I’ve been to other motels in the area and they were not like this at all. Lesson learned!

There is nothing special about this hotel. Its cheap and pet friendly but the cleanliness is not great, there wasnt any bugs. Walls are thin so you hear everyone around you, pillows and mattress are flat and uncomfortable. Everything else was fine, its a normal hotel room

Wifi signal is very low. I have to use my hotspot most of the times

San Jose staff members are very rude. Cleaners knock on door at least once per day to make sure you don't damage anything in the room while also offering towels and taking garbage. I had my room knocked on 2-3 times per day in the last 3 days of my weeklong stay. There are no Quiet signs and you can't refuse by not opening the door because they will keep knocking! The front desk does not allow any late checkout and it's at 11am sharp despite Motel 6 corporate policy having checkout at noon for most locations. If you ask them for any sort of late checkout extension, they will charge you money or call security to insist that you leave right away. If you don't renew the same room on time before 11am, you must leave the property and come back at 3pm for a different room. It's more work for their cleaners but the management staff doesn't care. Wifi stops working several days of the week. All of the above despite Park Inn having failed and being run under Motel 6 new management as of May 2025. This hotel is annoying and that's why they are keeping the price low for now. Other than these big staff and wifi issues, rooms are clean. Bed is old spring mattress and uncomfortable. Has fridge and microwave without costing extra. Allows 1-2 small pets for stay included with your room.

Much better than l had thought. It turned out that the hotel is now Motel 6. Friendly staff, good service, quiet area and clean accommodations with daily service.

I loved this place out of all the places that i have been. since i been traveling here in san jose. Im from fresno and this is the best place to stay for the weekend or when ever. The guy manual was the best! He knows exactly what customer service is. Because of manual helping me get my room and providing the service he gave.I will always come back. 5 STARS!

Staff is rude

I prepaid for my room with Expedia. I arrived around midnight and the hotel CANCELED my reservation with no prior notice! I desperately up posting significantly more for a room elsewhere! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Now I must ask Expedia for a refund!! This adds to the annoying experience!

The only good thing about this place is there was no deposit. The rooms were filthy, the front desk staff incredibly rude & non accommodating. Kept telling us we couldn't extend our stay, but we were able to book on 3rd party sites. Told us. We couldn't stay in the same room when we did & had to leave & come back 5 hours later to check in again. Then they tried to put us in a room with no hot water, one where we'd have to go get staff to unlock the door anytime we left (refused to just give us a key), finally we got a room where the heater didn't work, and the smoke alarm went off when we used the shower. We had been there two days but this time demanded my boyfriends ID, then weren't going to allow him in the room because it was expired! my boyfriend had to practically beg explaining he had just been released from an 11 month incarceration & had only been home 3 days. The vending machines were outrageously overpriced, and the laundry facilities were out of service. The only members of staff that were not hostile were the maid staff, they were very polite & happy to take our trash & shoot us a few extra towels. I have never experienced staff as unpleasant as this group, nor have I ever stayed in such disgusting accomodations, or purposefully put in a room with no hot water, no heat or AC, or no key to the door! Avoid this place at all cost, no deposit isn't worth the attempted humiliation & de-humanization from the staff.

The property is in a nice area with clean surroundings. The area overall is very nice; however, When I arrived, they stated that they did not have a reservation for me even though I was able to pull up the reservation with the confirmation number on my phone. The attendant seemed like he wasn't willing to try to help me out. Not very good customer service.

Place is clean and of dollar value for the Bay Area. The only issue I have with it is the rooms in the front have a lot of traffic noise which is not their fault. Overall good review.

The motel was conveniently located to 101 so made it easy to get around. I understand that it makes for traffic noise though. My room was basic but again I appreciated that as the price less expensive. The cleaning staff were good as the people behind the counter.

Pretty slow, since I’m waiting to start school next month. But it’s in a very good location! I walked around just looking for places to live.

This is not a Radison. This is now a motel 6. No food. Rooms were not clean. Bathtub did not work. Horrible experience.

The property is old. There were no tissue, hair dryer, and shampoo in the room. I expected to have coffee, but the machine was broken! Nevertheless, the staff were friendly.
