What guests think

At Hotel Doralba Inn, travelers highlight the central, walkable location and budget-friendly, colonial setting with a pleasant pool, while feedback often notes older facilities, worn mattresses, and a very simple included breakfast that seldom varies.

Guests frequently describe staff as friendly and helpful, though a few report slow check in or less attentive service at night. Cleanliness and maintenance feel inconsistent, with reports of mold, pests, AC or hot water issues, intermittent Wi‑Fi, and occasional pool upkeep, while parking is limited and the immediate streets can be busy, noisy, or scruffy. Expect a basic, centrally located stay that suits budget travelers prioritizing location over modern comforts.

We have stayed at this hotel several times now. I was disappointed to have the pool closed for maintenance the 3 days we were there. Hopefully next time it will be open. As we were looking forward too cooling down in the Merida temperatures.

The hotel needs an urgent update, the bed sheets, towels provided are old and falling apart. The washer and dryer do not always work, you pay for it and they don’t reimburse the money when they break down. What makes worth the stay is the people who works there, they are underpay but always willing to help and greet you with a smile.

Cynthia at the front desk was outstanding! She was very helpful and always pleasant. The room was clean as was all the common areas. The hotel itself needs some updating. The pool was nice to swim in although it seemed to have way too much chlorine. It was nice to have breakfast included although the meal itself could use some updating and daily variety. I would stay here again if only visiting for a day or two. The hotel is in a central location, walking to restaurants and activities is easy.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The pool was nice. The food was cheap and very Good. the area around the hotel however seems a bit crowded and dirty at times. and the parking was very confusing and inconvenient. The staff was friendly most of the time but can be rude at times. but nothing major over all it was OK nothing great but nothing super bad it was just..OK.

Our fourth stay at Doralba. It’s an economical, family/friendly place with helpful staff. A few issues this stay with toilet’s inefficient flushing, and trouble setting the safe, but not major problems. Love the pool and ability to use self-service laundry.

Gracias.

All the staff was nice. Walkable to shopping, eating & parks. Good breakfast and they have a laundry room. Pool is big and well kept. If you need a hair dryer, just ask the front desk. Clean linen and comfy pillows. But definitely needs updated towels.

For the price point there's a lot to love and little to complain about. While it may be a bit dated it holds nice colonia style, the property and the rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You're very close to all the action but I will note the streets are very busy in this area for pedestrians and cars. You're very close to all the action and amenities in and around the main plaza. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We would book it again.

The hotel was not bad but the room felt dirty the towels were stained the sheets were stained.the pillows smelled bad and there was no tv service. It was out of the way and at night there was nothing to do. But what really disappointed was the notice that was at the door that said the charges if you stained their towels or sheets We came Here because they said their breakfast was really good and it was not! The hotel has potential but it definitely misses the mark. Had to book a different hotel.

Nice place to stay. The paintings in the lobby gave it a lovely charm. Simple rooms for the budget conscious. Located near the cathedral which was nice. The beds were VERY hard which was the only downside. Breakfast is uninspired but edible (scrambled eggs and pasta or rice). The pool was nice and they let us bring our own beverages and food which was great. If they can fix the beds, it’d be a good stay!
