What guests think

At Cavalry Court, by Valencia Hotel Collection, travelers praise the relaxed, lively setting with a courtyard, pool, and on-site bar, plus friendly staff and a walkable location near Texas A&M, while noting recurring parking frustrations and occasional room climate issues.

Reviews frequently describe clean rooms and well-kept grounds, though a smaller number report lapses such as dirty linens, unclean bathrooms, or a pest sighting. Live music and courtyard activity create energy but can carry into rooms, and several guests experienced noisy nights. The on-site restaurant and bar earn praise, yet breakfast quality, value, and service feel inconsistent. Overall, expect a stylish, activity-forward stay with standout outdoor spaces.

A nice place to stay overall, however, parking is horrible. VERY difficult to find a spot on the weekend. Also, air conditioning did not work, and took until next day to try to get it fixed. It never worked properly, so they did offer another room that next day. Fun little area with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Pool area was great to spend the day.

Really great property. Lots of fun things to do with the family in the shared courtyard - Firepits with Smores kit available, ping pong, cornhole, pool and more. And lots of dining within walking distance. Loved it!

This hotel that looks like an apartment was hard to find. We saw the sign, but it's disconnected from the lobby. It's very trendy, but not a good fit for us as older people. There are no handholds in the big shower in the tiny bathroom. The hotel room is small. The lighting is bad. I had a hard time fixing my hair and makeup. The parking is not convenient. It's expernsive.

We loved our stay, and the lawn and pool area are so beautiful! We were there mid-week so it was quiet, but the pool area can be louder with live music on the weekend.

Upon walking down the halls smudges of hand and dirty foot prints were on the walls and doors of rooms. Walking into the room was humid and smelled stale. Carpet dirty, stains on the lounger in the room. Hairdryer full of dust, hair, and covered in sticky film. Bedding with holes. Very disappointed in this hotel.

Dirty bloody sheets. Cleaning crew should always provide fresh linens after every guest. As the morning of check out I saw the housekeeping waking everyone up knocking and screaming housekeeping in the hallway at 8:15 am when check out is at 12. . The building had a mildew smell as if they had water leak. Very humid. I will not be staying here eve again

Lovely hotel, part of a boutique chain that we always try to stay at when visiting our kids at college. The only reason we rated it less than 5/5 this time around was because of noise — the hotel had a rock band playing in the courtyard during one of the nights we stayed, and it was incredibly loud even in our upstairs room at the far end of the hotel. We had an early wakeup the next day, and it was hard to fall asleep with Nirvana and Green Day covers blasting downstairs. Sound REALLY travels in that courtyard; not sure it's the brightest idea to have bands playing next to first-floor rooms. :) Otherwise a wonderful stay.

While we love staying here, I have a huge concern that I was charged for mini bar items when I NEVER touched the mini bar or the fridge. Other than making a pot of coffee, the only food consumed in the room was that which was purchased from the kitchen downstairs. Dishonesty is not only unacceptable, but not having a way to prove this is just as bad. 2nd time this has happened to us here. Forces you to stay elsewhere.

Excellent hotel, especially for a college town. Only complaint was that our fridge was not working in our room, and when we reported it they said they’ll be in our room in 20 minutes. We waited and waited, and they never showed up, until 10:20 the next morning before check out. We said something to the front desk upon checkout, but she didn’t care. Oh well!
