There was nothing to like about this hotel. They don't even let you into the lobby to check in, it was 8 degrees out and no heat in the area outside the lobby where you check in. A stupid and inconvenient set up to say the very least. Unbeknownst to us, there was also a $10 pet fee, per pet that the Travelocity website did not mention. WE DID NOT STAY AT THIS CRAPPY HOTEL. I am still waiting on a refund.

The area around the building was very dense, urban, no grass. Hotel is near the road and there is traffic noise. I say "unsafe" because I had to talk to the clerk through what looked like bullet proof glass and the transaction window had only a small tray like you'd see in a bank drive thru teller. Clerk seemed suspicious until he saw my ID. The room was very clean but needed serious updating, especially the bathroom. The door to the room kept getting stuck. I was on the second floor, the elevator worked but was old and slow.

The locariob is good, but a little awkward to get into through a narrow opening for vehicles. Check in is through an old bank window, very inpersonal and unwelcoming. Service was slow, which kep me waiting in a freezing cold breezeway. Hotel in a bit run down, grounds too. Really needs a lot of work. Cusromer service could be improved too. Free off street parking.

Hotel is old and in disrepair. Exterior walls and concrete walk ways are cracked and sagging, and the carpets are stained. The shower was the extremely small. Check-in is through a bullet proof glass with no access to the lobby. The parking lot is a hangout for degenerates. Our first night there, we witnessed people drinking and urinating in the parking lot. I was very uncomfortable leaving my vehicle in the parking lot, and could not see it from our room.

The rooms and facilities could use some updating and general maintenance. The staff were friendly depending who you interacted with. The plus side is they do allow pets which we were grateful for however to let your pet run there is nothing at the property. The local animal shelter does have a dog park it’s about a 10 minute drive and a great resource if you’re traveling with your pet. The town itself is cute and close enough to Gettysburg but far enough away for a fair price. The room could use a good deep clean our shower didn’t drain well. Overall if we had to stay here again we would. Norland Pub was a fun local vibe if you’re looking for some place to eat.

Bed not comfy, old/outdated, no elevator, stairs outside/exposed and had carpet (difficult to transport bags), shower felt like a hole in the wall however good water pressure. Didn’t feel safe walking from car to room as there were a bunch of men outside a room door drinking in the walkway. Stayed one night and couldn’t wait I get out of there in the AM.

I had to check in through a window slot. I wasn’t allowed into the motel at all. I asked if it was a safe neighborhood and he said oh yeah, but it was only 6:00 pm. It’s a very old motel, not in a very nice area of town.

Very impersonal check in, thru a tiny like bank deposit window. Clerk was not rude, but not very friendly either. Building is very old, very outdated and run down. Carpet was very stained and there was a strange smell about the whole place inside and out. Was surprised the bathroom was clean, very small though. Is a pet friendly place but really no place for pets to relieve themselves. I ended up walking down the alley keeping my dog at the very edge of the properties and made sure i cleaned up after her. Not sure how this place got a 7.2 review on expedia because its more a 1 star hotel. Price was acceptable for a quick 1 night stop.

I have been going to this motel for more than 10 years when I visit Chambersburg. The manager and staff have always been friendly and willing to provide whatever is needed. The place is spotlessly clean. The motel is old but has been remodeled and has an elevator. The rooms have coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and safe. They do not provide breakfast but there are nearby restaurants that have full menus, in my mind a better option than the limited choices at other motels in the area. there is no gym, no pool, no conference room, but I don't need those amenities. I am happy with an inexpensive motel where I can comfortably sleep and wake up with coffee in my room.

It was an ok stay for just one night but as I was getting ready for bed in room 221 I noticed the white mattress sheet was dirty and had spots on it, I wasn't sure if housekeeping changed the sheets or not or if they don't bleach their sheets when doing laundry but my skin crawled most of the night, the fleece blanket in the middle had a bleach stain of some sort on it and the bathroom sink faucet leaked around the gasket of the faucet. The shower was ok was nice that I was able to remove the shower head and move around but it didn't stay in one spot and the shower head itself I think needs to be replaced with a new one. There was only one setting on it that worked the best. The main door coming into your room had a gap under the door where insects or other small creatures could possibly get inside too. It was an ok room for $66 for the night but next time I'm going to do better research before booking a room especially since it's non-refundable. I am OCD so when I saw all these issues it made me wish I had my cleaning supplies and small toolkit with me to make my room more comfortable

Wyndham shame on you. We trusted your name but this place was beyond filthy. Bedspread had a huge crusty stain larger than a dinner plate...and that was just one of many. The horrible musty dog urine was gag worthy. Rm #122. I dare you to send a Wyndham rep to sleep in that room. Gross

AC did not work, beds are a rock, shower head assembly did not work properly, check in area looked like a prison entrance. Obviously not a well maintained hotel, rugs are old and stained, walls have holes, vending machines broken or empty. Never expected a Wyndham associated hotel to be like this. Will never stay in this hotel again and will look very closely before I stay in a Travelodge in the future.

It may be an older place, but my room was clean and very comfortable. Everything worked. The staff was pleasant. The bathroom had a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, tissues, toilet paper etc. There is no tub, just a shower stall. The water pressure is great and I never ran out of hot water. I took a super long hot shower. The AC worked great. The room had a large flat screen TV, landline phone, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. No breakfast. Plenty of parking. Definitely not a vacation destination, but a great stop-over place or a home-base to stay when doing things in the area. Lots of stuff to do in this area. Reasonable priced.

There is a no smoking sign in the room, but the room had an old nicotine cigarette smell. It was nice that it had a microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker. I did not notice that when I registered for the room. The motel sits on a busy street. It was noisy as I could hear the traffic all night.

Good for thr price, however the heater in the room was a little noisy when it turned off and on. And the door was hard to get it to pock, you had to slam the door shut to make sure it latched. Luckily we checked the door when we left to go to dinner.

This hotel is a very good value. It is a classic multilevel motor inn. I found my room to be very clean and perfect for one or two people . I had two challenges. One was with the bed, which tended to shift on me since it was on a hard floor and not carpet. The other was the shower, which was not quite high enough for someone over 5 foot 5 or so. It is super convenient and quiet for being by the street.

The room was very clean, but I didn't realize how run-down an area it's in, and the deadbolt didn't seem to work on the door. The flip-lock did work, though, and I didn't have any problems. Also the shower is super tiny with a low showerhead. It worked okay for me, but my husband wouldn't have been able to shower comfortably if he'd been with me.

Very impersonal check in, thru a tiny like bank deposit window. Clerk was not rude, but not very friendly either. Building is very old, very outdated and run down. Carpet was very stained and there was a strange smell about the whole place inside and out. Was surprised the bathroom was clean, very small though. Is a pet friendly place but really no place for pets to relieve themselves. I ended up walking down the alley keeping my dog at the very edge of the properties and made sure i cleaned up after her. Not sure how this place got a 7.2 review on expedia because its more a 1 star hotel. Price was acceptable for a quick 1 night stop.

The area around the building was very dense, urban, no grass. Hotel is near the road and there is traffic noise. I say "unsafe" because I had to talk to the clerk through what looked like bullet proof glass and the transaction window had only a small tray like you'd see in a bank drive thru teller. Clerk seemed suspicious until he saw my ID. The room was very clean but needed serious updating, especially the bathroom. The door to the room kept getting stuck. I was on the second floor, the elevator worked but was old and slow.

Check-in is through a bullet proof glass with no access to the lobby. The parking lot is a hangout for degenerates. Our first night there, we witnessed people drinking and urinating in the parking lot. I was very uncomfortable leaving my vehicle in the parking lot, and could not see it from our room.

We booked this hotel based on the fact that it was a Wyndham Hotel and that it would probably be very nice. We had spent 9 hours on the road and we're very tired. We got there and discovered it was in the ghetto and there were suspicious people in the parking lot. The place was very run down and we were afraid to stay there. We continued on and found another hotel but I lost $72 in my booking this Travelodge because I trusted in Wyndham quality and truthfulness. If Wyndham is going to put their name on a hotel, they should make sure that it is worthy of their name. Very disappointed!

We have been stopping at this Travelodge for many years on our way north and south. It’s convenient and very affordable. The rooms are clean and offer the important amenities of coffee pot, good size refrigerator, iron/board, TV and microwave. It’s in a quiet location not far off I-81.

Bed not comfy, old/outdated, no elevator, stairs outside/exposed and had carpet (difficult to transport bags), shower felt like a hole in the wall however good water pressure. Didn’t feel safe walking from car to room as there were a bunch of men outside a room door drinking in the walkway. Stayed one night and couldn’t wait I get out of there in the AM.

I had to check in through a window slot. I wasn’t allowed into the motel at all. I asked if it was a safe neighborhood and he said oh yeah, but it was only 6:00 pm. It’s a very old motel, not in a very nice area of town.

It may be an older place, but my room was clean and very comfortable. Everything worked. The staff was pleasant. The bathroom had a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, tissues, toilet paper etc. There is no tub, just a shower stall. The water pressure is great and I never ran out of hot water. I took a super long hot shower. The AC worked great. The room had a large flat screen TV, landline phone, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. No breakfast. Plenty of parking. Definitely not a vacation destination, but a great stop-over place or a home-base to stay when doing things in the area. Lots of stuff to do in this area. Reasonable priced.

I have been going to this motel for more than 10 years when I visit Chambersburg. The manager and staff have always been friendly and willing to provide whatever is needed. The place is spotlessly clean. The motel is old but has been remodeled and has an elevator. The rooms have coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and safe. They do not provide breakfast but there are nearby restaurants that have full menus, in my mind a better option than the limited choices at other motels in the area. there is no gym, no pool, no conference room, but I don't need those amenities. The rooms and facilities could use some updating and general maintenance. The staff were friendly depending who you interacted with. The plus side is they do allow pets which we were grateful for however to let your pet run there is nothing at the property. The local animal shelter does have a dog park it’s about a 10 minute drive and a great resource if you’re traveling with your pet. The town itself is cute and close enough to Gettysburg but far enough away for a fair price. The room could use a good deep clean our shower didn’t drain well. Overall if we had to stay here again we would. Norland Pub was a fun local vibe if you’re looking for some place to eat.

My sister and I stayed at this location for two nights and it was very pleasant! The one staff member we met was very friendly and it was a comfortable place to sleep at night. The hotel was fine. They charged me $15 for my dog, even though it says $10 in the info here. When I turned on my sink, all of the water came out of the pipe onto the floor. The pipe had previously been taped. The man at the desk came to look and said he could move me to another room. I was so tired and was only sleeping there and leaving first thing in the morning, so I told him to just leave the trash can there to catch the water because I didn't want to move everything. The hotel is definitely old and needs updating, but my room was clean. The neighborhood isn't great, but I didn't feel unsafe.

Idk how this place got over an 8 for rating. Blankets had cigarette burns, shower head looked like it was from the 50's and it was barely attached to the wall. The property in general just looked and felt dirty. Elevator was pretty sketchy as well.
