What guests think

Across recent reviews, Baymont by Wyndham Holland is described as a budget-friendly stop with generally clean rooms, helpful staff, and an included hot breakfast, but an aging property where traffic noise and dated areas can affect comfort.

Common issues include thin walls, rooms facing a busy intersection, occasional musty or smoke odors, and sporadic maintenance or housekeeping lapses. Some guests were surprised by a refundable security deposit and felt the exterior and hallways look worn compared with updated rooms. On the plus side, rates and driving access to Holland’s attractions are frequently cited as strengths. Expect a simple, budget stay with trade-offs, especially around noise.

The positives where friendly staff, comfortable room, and blackout curtains on windows. We didn't like that our room wasn't cleaned within the 8 hours we were out. They did cleaned it at 6pm after we had returned for the night. The elevator was loud and you could hear grinding,so perhaps that should be serviced? The breakfast was gross cold eggs and cold sausages, which I believe were reheated and not freshly made. The boiled eggs looked old and were "watery" We went to make toast and blew a circuit. Won't be staying again as there are other midrange inns/motels in area.

Just ok. Room was not the cleanest and not in great repair. It was right next to the elevator which dinged loudly each time it stopped, so that was annoying. Bed was comfortable. Location was convenient.

I booked a two-night stay on short notice. The young man at the front desk was pleasant & efficient when I arrived. The room was clean & well-appointed with a single king bed. My only reasons for deducting one point is that the towels weren't supposed to be changed out except after three days. There is a small sign on the bathroom mirror at the lower left hand corner stating this. I also had the "do not disturb" door hanger out while I was away from the hotel but the room was entered anyway to change out the towels. I always make up my bed when I arise so that wasn't the point of entering the room. The second reason for 9-points is that while my room was at the elevator which was a noisy area, the large laundry bins were left in the alcove in front of my door. I could still enter/exit my room with considerable room to spare though. I will definitely stay at this location again. It was a pleasure & everyone was nice.

Overall, a good hotel with only minor things upon which to improve. But acceptable, considering this was the least expensive option at the time of our visit. Staff: check-in and check-out was smooth and quick, and the staff was wonderful. Room: clean and in good working order. However, the standard 2-pane windows allowed quite a bit of vehicle noise in, and it lacked some things such as USB charging ports (bring a cube). Amenities: the complementary breakfast had great hours (6a-10a), and the it was well-stocked. However, the coffee was provided by a large machine for instant coffee, and the seating was minimal (only four 4-seat tables). Parking: clean and well-lit, with several exterior cameras also provided a good sense of security.

The front desk guy was arrogant. The washing machine in Laundry was dirty and had stones and some metal pieces in it. Toilet roll kept in the bathroom was the cheapest quality on the earth. Towels looked dirty and had to request for replacement.

Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. I only ever saw one attendant at the front desk. He was patient and helpful when I locked myself out of my room one day and needed an extra key-card made. Breakfast was basic but it was nice that it was included. I read reviews complaining that it was nothing but "granola bars and juice", but every morning of our 3-day stay there were hot options including eggs, sausage, and waffle maker. This hotel is a solid option for the budget-conscious traveler, that is still within easy driving distance of Holland's attractions.

They use some kind of air freshener in the rooms. It was so strong that I started looking around for one of those Airwick or Glade plug-ins. I couldn't find one, however, the smell stayed our entire visit. I have asthma and was very glad I had my inhaler with me!

The hotel had a very comfortable bed, the staff was very nice, the location was excellent, and the breakfast was good. A few things need updating. As an example, our TV would not turn off and the channels could not be changed. The manager had to turn off our TV. He gave us a new remote which changed the channel but still did not turn off the TV. If you book here, ask for a room away from the highway. We were in room 102 and it was extremely noisy starting early in the morning. The room was also damp even though air conditioning was on. Not sure why. I am guessing if you ask for a room on floor two away from the road, you will have a nice stay. The price is very good.
