At Silver Reef Casino Resort, travelers frequently praise clean, comfortable, modern rooms and friendly staff, enjoy varied on site dining and the casino, yet note recurring cigarette smoke near the lobby, spotty Wi‑Fi, and occasional maintenance problems.

Many applaud powerful walk‑in showers, comfy beds, farmland views, and overall value. Facilities include a casino, pool, hot tub and sauna, though some faced harsh pool chemicals, limited restaurant hours midweek, and crowded parking during events. The staff here have always been great unfortunately when we arrived into our room there was spilled food on the floor that must have been missed aside from that the only other thing that was a noticeable cleanliness issue was the dirt ring in the pool where people have etched their names into it.

Stayed 1 night on packed Labor Day weekend and enjoyed our stay. Room was great and good value. Front desk staff and staff at restaurant were very nice and enjoyed conversations with them. Casino was packed but still a better vibe and class of people than what I have experienced last few times in Vegas. I don't see the need to ever go back to Vegas and get ripped off when there are nice clean and safer places like this to go to. Parking lot was completely packed due to holiday weekend and a concert at the property and had to park very far away and later move my car after concert over (only real complaint/inconvenience). Like other reviewers have said, the smell of smoke is strong by check in desk and hall to casino but did not have smoke smell in main casino. I think this is due to some design flaw that drafts the smoke from the smoking room down the hall and into the lobby area, but I would rather have the smell of smoke there than in the main casino. Would definitely stay here again.

The sauna was not working and our TV wasn't getting good reception. We really didn't need the TV, we were just laying in bed winding down and it was inconvenient to trouble shoot. I did try to get into the spa, but it's open to hotel and public and if I hadn't booked weeks in advance there was no chance to get a spot. That was disappointing. Otherwise great meal at The Steakhouse and casino floor was full of amazing options for gambling.

Excellent experience overall. However, the check-in time, in my opinion, at 4:00PM is too late. I was instructed to call after Noon on the day of arrival to request early check-in. Not available at that time and then asked to call again after 2:00PM to request. Was told at 2:00 PM that they could accommodate at 2:30PM. Great! We will be there! But, then told that we could be onsite at 2:30, but no guarantee of a room. We needed to get dressed for a wedding that started at 4:00 PM so couldn’t take the chance of not getting a room. Used a friends room at another hotel to get ready. Didn’t want to book and stay the night before since it shouldn’t have been needed. We would have even paid an “early check-in” if that was offered. There must be a reason why the check-in procedure and time is this way, but it was certainly inconvenient for us.

Came down for Labour Day long weekend from Metro Vancouver. Never been here before. As we stepped into the hotel lobby we immediately smelled the lingering cigarette smoke, but this was expected being a casino. Our check in was straight-forward and Jack was very friendly. Our North Tower King suite room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and sheets clean. One issue we had was that we couldn't find the lightswitch that controlled the potlights over the headboard, otherwise there were several desklamps to turn on. For those who might visit on business: wifi, while free, has super-strict firewall rules that prevent VPN connections on most ports. I found that ports 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPs protocol ports) will work if you configure your VPN client to use these ports. Super irritating though as most people who might have a work-laptop wouldn't be able to configure this to be able to connect to their work's VPN. Dining options were limited and we've left reviews for Red River Cafe and Panasia separately. There also isn't anything around the immediate casino grounds, however a drive into Bellingham is only about 15 minutes away.

Great parking, clean and spacious room, woth a great view, secure elevators, friendly hotel staff. Easy access from I-5. Well staffed and helpful front desk. Lots of luggage trolleys. Safe. Will definately stay there again. Not great for children under 21. Small pool, tiny hot tub, sub par restaurant food. Must have ID to be on premises. Very nice hotel staff. We will never eat in the casino cafe or the Mexican restaurant again! Bad service, bad food! Room was great but had only decaf coffee. Casino not as tight as other reviews stated. Didn't win but could play for several hours without losing much. The biggest issue was in the Asian restaurant. I was eating and I bit down on something that felt hard and weird. It was a hard metal staple of some kind. They did offer to replace the entree and they did but didn't seem as concerned as I would have liked. They comped us 1 entree only. Most of the hotel staff in general were kinda of indifferent and seemed defensive and totally oblivious to what good customer service is supposed to be. The exception was the expreeso place. They were awesome.

The hotel appears to favor regulars who have a history of spending money in the casino. We were given a room right next to a very noisy ice machine that ran all night. They were unwilling to help us get a better room unless we were able to be at the desk between 2 and 4. Since that didn’t fit our schedule, we ultimately ended up in a room with intermittent hot water availability. There are two good restaurants open only Thursday-Sunday. The restaurant open all week isn’t very good,
