Reviews of WoodSpring Suites Knoxville West describe a clean, basic, extended-stay property with friendly staff, convenient West Knoxville location, and in-room kitchenettes, but with limited services, thin walls, and after-hours front desk closures that complicate check-in and assistance.
Many appreciate the full-size fridges and spacious studios, but beds are described as firm and low, and in-room supplies are bare unless borrowed or rented. Housekeeping is infrequent for short stays, and several reviews note hallway odors or smoke. There is no breakfast and lobby coffee is unreliable, so plan ahead. Expect a simple, budget stay suited to self-sufficient travelers.

The staff was very friendly. Cedar Bluff is a nice area with restaurants and shopping and the hotel was only 15 minutes from downtown and Neyland Stadium. The full kitchen is a nice extra and the room is spacious. It is decorated nicely and very clean. I'll definitely go back.

This was a perfect location with Sam'sClub across the street for gas and WalMart behind that for incidentals. Also, the shopping, restaurants and freeway entrances were close by. I would highly recommend and plan to stay here again. The workers were extremely friendly and helpful. The laundry room could have used a few chairs for people to wait for the washers/dryers to end but that's the only update I would include. May a bench on the wall instead of chairs would work.

The hotel was awesome! Clean, new, great staff! So many wonderful things. The room was awesome, the bed was comfortable, giant tv. Only a few minor complaints, the walls seemed a little thin so sometimes heard people around during the night, a little tricky keeping the AC going all night, and finally the entrance blends in and can be a little challenging to see. Outside of that top notch! Great location, fitness center on site, laundry on site, iron and ironing board upon request. I would stay again and highly recommend.

This appears to be a new hotel in a residential type neighborhood. Front desk ladies were so kind and friendly. Front desk closes down at 9 so arrive before then! The floors arent very insulating and we could here everything above us but the hotel was quiet after 10ish. No breakfast. The room was very large and clean. Beds were kind of hard and squeaky but not too unbearable. I was traveling with my teenage boys and our dog and just needed a place to sleep for the night. Walmart and fast food within walking distance.

Overall ok. You need to know if u are checking in after 9pm the front lobby is locked and no one at front desk. You have to call and wait for someone to show up. Not that big of deal but we did have to wait a while and when u have traveled all day, waiting for 15-minutes to get someone to check u in can feel like an hour. We were told they do the lobby that way because this place is an extended stay facility.

Me and my partner went to stay for an extended amount of time at this hotel. Everything was as expected and service was great. Wonderful security steps and everything was very clean. However, this is not a hotel that does more than supply you with the very basics. Do not go to this hotel expecting the average. You need to supply your own items, they just supply you with a room to stay in and hygienic products.

Great value for the price plus they accommodated our dog. Check-in was a bit unusual. We arrived at roughly 7 pm. Prior to the arrival (about 5 pm) we got a phone call saying the front desk would be closed and doors locked when we arrived. We had to call from inside the first set of doors and a hotel employee let us in and checked us in. Otherwise, very nice room with extended stay amenities. We will be back next time we travel in the area!

The hotel was fine, and kept clean. The front office closed early and we had to call a number to be let in at only around 915. When we left the next morning around 715, there was still no front office open. Assuming they had someone on call, but just seemed for a hotel is all.

Staff was friendly but the room was dirty when we checked in. The floor was not swept. There was garbage and visible dirt under the beds. The floors had sand/dirt on them. I asked if it would be possible to come have someone sweep our room, but the front desk told me the only clean the rooms if you stay longer than two weeks. We also asked for extra pillows, and were never given them. We stayed on the fourth floor, and the entire hallway smelled of mold.

It took me over an hour to get checked in even though my rooms were prepaid for. The shower had no water pressure. The floors were dirty. The beds are hard as a rock and the light coming in from the parking lot pierced into the room all night even with the curtains closed. This stay was a waist of time and money

Not clean at all. Cancelled immediately after first night. I found a much cleaner hotel for the same price down the road. I was disappointed immediately as I step foot into the hotel. It reeked of smoke/weed. Not sure what the smell was and the room had a strong stench as well. Almost every surface in the room had visible signs of grime, including the floors and walls. We spoke with the front desk and she was very accommodating and tried to get us a new room but both rooms were not clean. There were hairs in the bathroom still in the second room. The ladies working at the desk were very sweet but it was not enough to stay at a hotel this dirty. I wouldn’t ever come back to this hotel. Service and friendliness from the staff was good but like I said, it needs a much higher standard and quality of cleanliness for a hotel. Honestly not sure how the reviews were calling this place clean. I didn’t feel like anything was clean in the entire facility. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures because I was trying so hard to just GET OUT of thereASAP.

The hotel was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. My husband went to Walmart and bought Lysol. The next day he bought Fabris. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Near the elevator there were drippings on the floor that remained there the entire week. In front of room 330, there was a dirty napkin on the floor, seemingly marking what looked like dog poop, along with a stain that appeared to be dog vomit. While the napkin was eventually picked up, the stains were never cleaned. We went to the front desk several times to complain and request fresh towels, but the desk was closed, and no one was available to help. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.

Check in was easy and pleasant. The room was clean and was what we wanted and expected. Walls are paper thin; could hear everything going on and said in rooms on either side and above our room. The first night we stayed awake most of the night due to the room above us stomping and running back and forth. The second night the room next to us had their tv up so loud that we couldn’t sleep. I called the front desk to complain and whoever received the call did go to the room and tell them there had been complaints and the person cussed out the guest service person and he just said “he was doing his job and letting them know there were complaints.” The person never turned the volume down and continued cussing after he slammed the door. I know the staff cannot control their guest, but should be able to something to take care of customers that have respect for and are trying to enjoy their stay away from home. We frequent this town 10-12 times per year, but will make our stays somewhere else in the future.

I’m a person that likes to sleep with multiple pillows. There’s only 1 pillow per person on each bed. Mattress was not all that comfortable but it wasn’t a deal breaker! Very very very clean facility from the front to the room. Extremely pleasant and professional customer service. Overall, I enjoyed my stay!

This was our first time staying at this hotel and found the room clean and well maintained If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the conversation being had in the next room. Also, the foot traffic from the room above was very disturbing. The front desk staff was very responsive to our complaint and rectified the situation twice. The room was occupied by 5 people (3 children) and a dog the bombardment was constant AM & PM

The property was neat and attractive. It is also across the street from a Walmart and Sam’s Club. Check-in was easy. The room was spacious and clean. You do have to bring some extra toiletries. My room had a small bar of soap and two disposable cups. No shampoo, conditioner, or facial tissues. Also no hair dryer or iron, but you could borrow one from the front desk. Also, you could rent a coffee maker if needed. No pool or hot tub either, but I wasn’t looking for that.

It was weird upon check in, the door was locked and you have to dial500 to connect to the front desk and the guy showed after talking on the phone. Ask your info, give you the key and close the window front desk. The room is clean but you will see dust in the corner of each room.. pillow is not comfortable. Big room and smell good . Same thing in the morning upon check out.. window front desk is closed and I leave the key under the metal window. No breakfast , no talking to the people in the front desk and you leave . Use your key to enter the 2 locked door in the front building , Overall great stay.

Checked in “After Hours” and had to wait outside for over 20 minutes for someone to let us in. When we did get inside the front desk was closed up like a prison. The man who checked us in was very nice, but nothing could compensate for the “Welcome”, or lack thereof, that we received upon our arrival.

We were told they do the lobby that way because this place is an extended stay facility.

Never able to check in. The front desk attendant was asleep. Waited 40 minutes after calling and being told they would be right there. Had to find a different hotel in the middle of the night on a cross country trip. Literally the worst service ever.

We reserved a handicap accessible room. We even called the day before to confirm the room category. When we got there they were sold out and tried to get us to accept a different room. You don’t just stop being disabled because a hotel is unable to plan. We weren’t able to stay more than one night if a two week reservation and were forced to get a different hotel at the last minute. Disabled travelers beware: they are not ADA compliant.

I liked that the property was in the middle of a bunch of stuff. Nothing really in walking distance, but everything was very small driving distances. But it was still very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend for a stay.

Clean and comfortable but no desk service without calling #500. We travel and book hotels at least 10 times a year and I have to say, although this is the ONLY hotel without at least a continental breakfast, the fact that there wasn’t even coffee is what makes me give only 3 stars. That was a definite demerit.

I stayed for three nights while visiting a sick relative and overall it was a good experience. I was a bit annoyed that there was no coffee anywhere in the building, including in my room. I guess because it’s an extended stay you have to provide everything for yourself. There was one small bar of soap and one very small shampoo and that was about it for amenities. Of course it did have a full kitchen, but I didn’t need that. I just needed some coffee. The website said free coffee, but there was none to be found. The room that I stayed in was nicely updated, and the bed was somewhat comfortable, but was perhaps the most creaky bed I’ve ever slept on. Overall, it was a positive experience, but with the lack of coffee or breakfast, I might look elsewhere next time.

It was not clear this is an Extended Stay hotel, which meant many full time residents, pets and kitchen/food smells. No ammenities, including no ice machine, no coffee in room or in lobby. Beds were very uncomfortable with cheap linens and thin pillows. Antiseptic smell throughout property seemed to be masking other smells. No staff at front desk in evening or morning so if you lock yourself out or have any problem you have to wake up an "on-call" staffer.

This motel was a very pleasant surprise. It looked new, it is very clean and quiet. It is no frills. Front desk is closed overnight. No breakfast. But there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Coffee/tea available in the lobby 24/7, no coffee maker in the room which is fine for me since I'm not a coffee drinker. No hair dryer in the room but I bring my own. Price was right though. And they are pet friendly which is important to me. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and acceptable. Location is good for going to downtown. The coffee machine downstairs though absolutely sucked. Mostly hot water dispensed with a couple drops of something that looked like coffee. Suggest getting a real coffee machine for guests.

Staff was great, but we had to switch rooms because the A/C didn't work. The attention to detail in cleanliness was lacking - there was an old water bottle under the bed and food crumbs under the ottoman. The towels were incredibly sparse, too. Doesn't seem like a stop-in-for-the-night hotel. It seemed more like a sparsely furnished dorm.

Poor AC system, fan didn’t work, beds are not comfortable, they only give you two pillows, driveway is difficult to get out of, and have to scan the card through 3 doors just to get to the elevator, no staff except for business hours. Will avoid these from now on
