Acropolis Heart 2BD Apartment in Plaka by UPSTREET

The location of this apartment is fantastic, especially if you’re only in Athens for a short stay and want to be close to all the major attractions. It’s literally a five-minute walk to the Acropolis entrance and the Acropolis Museum, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops just up the road. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The only issue we experienced was with the electronic door lock to the apartment (not the entrance into the building). On two occasions, we entered the code, heard the lock disengage, but the door wouldn’t open. The first time, it eventually worked after a few attempts. The second time, after more than 20 attempts, we had to call the property manager through Expedia. The customer service representative was very helpful and provided the code to the lockbox beside the door so we could retrieve the physical key and get inside. Aside from that frustrating experience, we had a great stay. One other thing to note is that the washer/dryer combo took about three hours to dry our clothes, which wasn’t a huge issue but is helpful to know if you plan on doing laundry.

The apsrtment was perfect for our needs. It was bright, clean and in the middle of the action. There was a bit of noise in the night but not enough to disturb. Definitely would stay again.

Very roomy! Not just that there are 2 bedrooms but all the rooms are large and nicely furnished. It's ground floor near the Acropolis so I expected a fair amount of street noise. It wasn't an issue. They have blackout rolling shades and I closed all the room doors. Good mattress in the smaller bedroom near the bathroom, the only one we used. Good water pressure Getting in and out was easy if you read the instructions from the host.
