The pool was great, the beach was right across the street. The property was right on the strip, walkable to restaurants, the beach and the Pier. Wasn’t aware that parking was valet only and $38 a day, but the valet personnel was friendly and had your vehicle ready fast.

It’s a beautiful hotel at first glance. The pool furniture was rickety and stained. All of the washing machines were out of order, except one. Sign in the laundry room said to go to front desk for laundry supplies, but they had none available and no quarters for the machines. The pull out bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. No vent in the bathroom, no ledges in the shower to put anything. With that being said, it’s a fantastic location. The breakfast was really good. The employees were super nice.

Perfect location. Easy acess to Clearwater Beach, restaurants and cafes. Starbucks is adjacent to the hotel. Continental breakfast is on point. Very friendly staff. The hotel and the room was very clean. The pool is convenient, even though the chikdren took it over. There are no parking available on the street. The Marriott offers valet parking at $38 a day + tax. In addition, you have to tip a minimum of $3 to the valet drivers. Check my food explora blog for details about my stay in Clearwater Beach. I highly recommend this hotel.

The pool was a mess, people would put there towels on chairs to hold them and not show up for hours so there was never any place to sit outside, and no one monitored the pool and kids were diving and doing cannon balls in the pool and they were throwing footballs and other hard balls in the pool those things slip and don’t get caught and knock people in the head and face, they need to have someone watching to make sure it is under control. The staff was friendly, but a lot of them didn’t speak English so they would have to go to a supervisor to understand what you were asking for

The service was horrible !! We had a pullout couch which had all the metal springs sticking out . We called front desk same day to get it taken care of and no one ever did after two days husband spoke to manager and apologized instead of changing out room ! Daily cleaning is not provided, and they actually cleaned they didn’t clean right or made beds. We had to ask for 4 extra bed covers so we can use as cushion on pullout couch so we didn’t feel springs sticking out !! Elevators are really slow , breakfast area was good and clean but there is a lady always laughing so loud making so much noise !! Would not stay there again!!

If you have an infant this property does not have a roll in crib and only has a graco pack and play (with mattresses that are soiled/dirty). Our pack n play arrived (extremely late) with toilet paper in it. Nasty. The room was dirty, couch had a terrible smell. Would recommend bringing wipes and disinfectant. Also, the plugs did not work.

There was no beach view. We had a room overlooking a part of the city that was actually unattractive. The bed was uncomfortable but it would work for 3 nights. The room looked nice and parking was ok but they didn’t tell us until check in that parking was $38 per night. We weren’t far from the beach, so that was a plus. We were fine but most likely would not stay there again. The breakfast was ok and the hotel staff seemed nice. The worst thing about it was the noise of the club/restaurant that was below the window. Saturday night the noise blasted until maybe 2am. Sunday the noise shut down earlier. Overall 8 out of 10.

Some things you need to know - the suite rooms (the two bed ones with the sofas & kitchens) are big but scruffy round the edges. The air con (at least ours and next doors) is ridiculously loud. The rooms that families are likely to be in are all situated facing the beach side…nice right? No. They also sit right above a bar. A noisy, live music, singing and whooping bar. The noise is so loud you can’t hear the TV properly. It goes on until midnight week nights and 3am weekends. So between the AC and the bar and melting in the heat there was no sleep had…and that’s before I start on the barking dog a few rooms along. Breakfast was alright but be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a seat to eat. Ridiculously busy. Staff were nice…except one who was having an off day…maybe she hadn’t slept either. Book somewhere else would be my advice.

What a great property! We arrived early and were allowed to check our luggage in at the front desk and head to the pool! Daniel at check in was friendly and did a great job communicating updates about our room. Our suite was spacious, clean and the view of the intercostal was beautiful to wake up to. Breakfast was delicious each morning! The area was kept clean by the hard working hostesses. Food was always replenished before it could run out! Zack at the bar made happy hour fun and he makes a great mango daiquiri! He gave great suggestions for food and things to do. The pool area was never over crowded and the chairs are so comfortable! We did not rent a car and did not regret it! The property is in a great location, every thing we needed was walkable. We used the trolley to go south, which was very easy to navigate. We will definitely go back to the Residence Inn on Clearwater Beach again!

Like others have said, there is a loud bar under the hotel which makes it hard to sleep. I knew this when booking as I read reviews and figured out family would be ok…but it was a lot louder than I imagined it would be. My husband & I slept ok—the kids took a long time to get to sleep. I def wouldn’t stay here if you need quiet to sleep. Apart from that, the hotel is very clean, spacious & the breakfast was amazing. I loved that they even had cold brew coffee along with the normal. We would prob stay here when it’s not spring break time—so possibly a little quieter as it wasn’t just the music that was loud but also the screaming drunk people lol.

Very nice place to stay. We had a one-bedroom with balcony and view of bay. Very nice. Excellent location. A block away from beautiful Clearwater Beach. Only thing we didn't like about the beach was that beach awnings and chairs were set up across the entire beach, almost like drawing a border across the sand. So, if you wanted to see the water, you had to station yourself in front of those gigantic awnings/chairs. It made the beach seem so much smaller because of that and obviously, most people want to look at the ocean, so the space was much more crowded. They should not be allowed to put station so many awnings/chairs like that. We traveled to many of the other beaches and they were beautiful and did not have awnings blocking water view. Included breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, home fries, pancakes/waffles/French toast, all were very good. Hot/cold cereals, assorted bagels, breads, dressings for the cereals. Yogurts, cheeses, fresh chopped fruit. Whole fruits also. Very good breakfast which was included in the price. Plenty of seating. Nice outdoor heated swimming pool. Bed was comfy. Sectional couch was run down and needs to be updated. Nice full kitchen. Parking stinks. You are forced to do valet parking and pay $31 per night. That is a huge expense. They really should consider including parking or at the very least lowering the price for Bonvoy members. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Very nice place.

The Residence Inn was brilliant. We had a good stay and the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. It is conveniently located near the beach and other facilities. Breakfast is very repetitive (scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes every day) so we ended up cooking our own in our room. The kitchen facilities in the room were good and served us well. First off, they dont tell you that you have to pay for parking even though your staying there. Parking should be free as a hotel guest. Second, since they charged for parking, they should charge it all at once rather than having a ridiculous amount of pending charges on my card. Also, other hot breakfast options would be nice besides eggs and sausage.
