Holiday Inn Villages Resort -2BD Sleeps up to 6

The beach club unit we stayed in had a broken elevator so we had to haul our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The hot tub was also not heating properly for one of the days we stayed.

The property could use some updates and the rooms could of been cleaned better. There were also teenagers that had no parental supervision coming and going from the room above us at all hours up until 3am making lots of noise. Most other properties ive stayed out owned by the holiday in as quiet hours. I also only booked this hotel bc they had a waterpark in which i dont remember seeing it cost separately on the hotels website.

We had a good stay but we were disappointed the waterpark was closed. There was no notification that it was closed Mon to Thurs and the guy at checkin never told us

Water park is not open on Monday and Tuesday. Did not say that on Orbitz. Check in is at 4. Didn’t get into our room until 7:40. Room has a terrible odor. Windows were left open. Apparently they smelled it also.

This was our first time at the Holiday Inn Villages Resorts. We were very impressed with all the family activities right on the resort premises within walking distances. We took our 9 and 8 yrs. old grandsons and they had a blast. The indoor water park was not big but I am not complaining. It was enough to keep both boys happy swimming all day. We liked the one way in one way out. We could let them go on their on while we sat at a table by the door and could keep our eyes on them. It was great to be able to let them swim when it was cold outside. We will revisit during the summer for sure and highly recommend this place to all ages. Mrs. T

This was my third time me and my family visiting the Flint villages resort,the first two times we visited was very nice but this third time was just horrible,we booked the grand villa with two king size beds and our grand villa was on the bottom level, we had no problem with that but the elevator did not work and me and my wife could not use the stairs because of our disability with our knees and hips,so we had to go back to the check in department and they said that they did not know of any issues with the elevator and that they would send a maintenance man so we had to wait for 1 hour in the heat ,we had already unpacked when we first got there and when the maintenance man came he said that the elevator did not work in 5 years and we was like WOW! So we had to go back to the check in department to get another Grand villa,we had to pack everything back into our car and move to the place they sent us and they didn't even help us move and we are very frustrated because 3 hours has passed and we're only going to be here for 4 days and are trying to relax so now we're in another Grand villa which was downsize to 2 queen beds and a smaller place at this point we're just trying to relax and the sprinkler system bust a leak in the ceiling and my wife slip and fell on the wet floor after waking up in the morning to use the bathroom and now we have to pack up and move to another villa,our whole entire trip was a disaster which cost us $810 for 4 days,no apology and no kind of refunds

Though older, the units were clean and well maintained. Beds and pillows wete comfy and the linens too. Liced all rhe activities snd clean pools. Putt putt water was dirty looking and frothy, if able to remedy that. Otherwise a great spot to stay and play!

Great space. Clean with everything we needed to have a great couple days. The elevator did break when we went to leave, and being on the fourth floor with our grandmother wasn’t ideal. But that’s no one’s fault and they did start repairs immediately after I called. Overall I would recommend and will plan to be back!

This trip was a lifesaver! We booked it last minute and were blown away by how much fun our family had. There was something for everyone to enjoy from splashing around in the water park and pool, to challenging each other at mini golf and basketball. The kids (and adults!) definitely appreciated the delicious snow cones and ice cream. What really made the trip stand out, though, was the incredible staff. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, Shannon, Josh, Linda, Kristina and Sophie were always there to help with a smile. Their excellent service really enhanced our experience. If you're looking for a fun-filled, family-friendly vacation, especially on short notice, this place is definitely worth considering. We'll definitely be back!

Clean property, kind and friendly staff

Loved our cabin experience! Everything was so clean and felt really cozy.

Loved the place and space but the floors were very dirty upon arrival.

Our unit was OK. When I wiped the floor it was very brown, so obviously it is not mopped very frequently. There were bugs and cobwebs all over the doors. The blower (we heard the guy daily working) just does not remove the cobwebs from the doors. Our daughter's unit had several bugs inside the unit. They were on the lowest level. We were on the top level. The staff was extremely pleasant and efficient whenever we had trouble accessing the pools with our gate cards, etc. The pool areas were nice. The kids (ages 10-6) were not that enthusiastic about the water park and they preferred the pools over the water park.

The president suit was one of the best ,not anymore stain on carpet all full of insects inside and out all around wall ,ceiling everywhere,definitely not worth the $299 a night anymore .never again to this property

Alot of things in the room were broken the dryer, several chairs were broken, towel rack in master bathroom. Dead bugs in the master bedroom floor

We had so many cobwebs outside the door and multiple bugs in the room. The bathroom door as not clean. Staff at check in were super friendly. But property was tired.

I arrived to check in 30 minutes after the quoted time. Once checked in I was told that it would be 20 mins before my room was finished. It took over 40 minutes to get a call from the automated system. The resort staff did make up for my melted ice and ice cream I had brought since I had to wait on my room. But when we arrived to the room, the room looked dirty. There were lots of Cobb webs on the ceiling. The unit was 78 degrees. The refrigerator barely kept anything cold and nothing got better through the night. The a/c went to 74 in the middle of the night while we slept. Upon checking out I did speak to the front desk staff about the issues and they seemed very willing to make it right and compensate for my displeasure. All in all not worth the nightly price when check in is so late and check out is so early. We didn’t get to utilize any activities on property if you stay, make sure you stay a few nights so you can experience the amenities

When I Arrived Everything Seemed Great. We Started Cooking And We Started To See Roaches Come Out …. Also There Were a few spiders in the living area

Hotel is up for an auction and it really shows. I neede to change the hotel since there were dead bugs on the bed. The staff was friendly and cooperative, but the hotel was definitely not what the pictures depicted.

Loved all the different activities to do with our children 14 & 11. The rooms are a little bit dated, but we’re clean and spacious.

Very cute 2 bedroom/2 bath unit for a good price

We came in with high expectations, but were blindsided by how outdated this unit truly is. From the entryway to the kitchen and especially the bathrooms, everything feels at least a decade overdue for a major renovation. The bathrooms in particular were a huge letdown – very small toilets and extremely shallow sinks made them uncomfortable and impractical. For the price being charged, we expected far better quality and upkeep. Unfortunately, this unit does not live up to its listing or the cost. We wouldn’t stay here again unless significant updates are made.

Big rooms

I really want to give them another try. But our first experience was not good. Immediately, after checking into the room as soon as we walk in, there’s a very strong musty smell. Also smelled of mothballs. We let our room air out. By the next day, it was gone. Then our second night there we had a very large party right above us. The area we stayed in is allotted for six people. I would guess we had 20 to 30 people above us. With music so loud it was vibrating my ceiling. And the office wasn’t much help. After asking a couple times for the office to request them to turn the music down. Nothing changed. All they could tell me was they had quiet time starting at 10 PM. But it didn’t matter that I had two kids that were asleep before nine. So we just had to deal with it. We didn’t get to try a lot of the amenities they had there. So I didn’t want to give them one star. Hopefully we may try them again at some point and have a better experience.

It was perfect for us. It had the kitchen we wanted so we could do up some meals for new parents kids. Enjoyed the balcony for morning coffee and breakfast.

We only stayed for one night; but, will certainly hope to go back again for a longer stay. In November, the sun sets early—so, after checking in at 4pm and taking our boat to the marina and making the arrangements to place it in a stall overnight, we were really out of daylight to explore the property. We were thankful there was still time to order food from the restaurant (grill.) Everything that we saw was very clean and inviting. Our villa was a very pleasant place. We had some time to relax on the balcony before going to bed. We planned to be on the lake early in the morning. I appreciate everyone who made our stay enjoyable. We had personal encounters with the front desk staff and those preparing food at the grill. Knowing, there are many people we don’t see, who work hard to make this place desirable and accommodating. Everything at the resort was great. The waterpark was an additional cost which we did not realize until we arrived. The room was great. Only negative was the above neighbors were unbelievably load all night long so sleeping was difficult.

Staff was super friendly, lots to do around the property. The suite was veryyyy nice, beds are beyond comfortable. The tvs could be a little bigger for a presidential suite, but overall it was a great place to relax! Also love the balcony area

I had a great trip at this resort. The workers were very friendly and professional. I'd definitely recommend this resort to family's or even a couples getaway.

communication was horrible it was my first time coming and I was not told or aware that a deposit needed to be made when I got there. When I was told it was I had to drive over an hour back home to get more money to make the deposit only to be told they only take credit cards. On top of that it was my 2yr old son birthday and we were tired with all the driving. Had to stop at a hotel because of the long day we had with this situation. And they wouldn’t even let us book at another hotel with the same company due to the kind of booking I had, ridiculous!

Our stay was OK. We loved the location and amenities, but the room was not ready when we arrived. We did not get our keys until after 5pm. The cleaning staff left their stuff all over the room. When we were checking out the key stopped working so we couldn't get all our stuff went to the front office to get the key fixed and still didn't work. Had to wait for security to come open the door so we could get all our stuff out.

The property is nice enough, but the marketing and pricing is a complete "bait and switch." The rooms we saw pictures of were not what we booked. They "upgraded" us... with the included "upgraded" price. The property is a time share and most of the amenities shown are not easily accessible. I would never book here again.

Great place for families, we had a great time. Be prepared for a sales pitch for their time shares. Property needs updating - rooms are pretty old and worn. Water pressure is awful. The water park is so crowded on the weekends, you can't even get into the lazy river.

I have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. This time it was dirty and hard to get and help. The room was dirty upon our arrival. It had a bag of trash from the previous renter. The guest bath tub was filthy and was stopped up. I called the front desk and asked for someone to take care of the issues. It took them 4 calls and two days to help me.

Everyone very friendly

Resort was good no more access to the lake so if u rent jet skis need to find a boat ramp .

My stay was quiet and relaxing. Sitting on the back porch eating breakfast with my daughter was priceless. It reminded me so much of my grandmothers back porch. I will return and I want the same cabin❤️

It is a good place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city and connect with nature

It was safe but was not convenient of location the elevator didn’t work so had to walk down stairs have a bad knee and the room was full of flys and bug’s literally had to cover up food .

In general the property is nice and surrounding east Texas pines are lovely. However, staff is below average and the facilities are showing their age.

Great location for our needs.

That it was quite and nice

We liked that we had options for dining there & enough room to spread out. But some areas looked unkept like no one had stayed there in a while. It was dusty & spiders in the room. But all in all we loved it!

We booked for a girls family get-away to see the Tyler Rose Festival Parade. We had 4 adult women, a teenager and a 2 year old. We had a blast! We attended a painting class, played in the water park and arcade, had snacks and drinks at the cafe, hung out by the fire, and had family time in the spacious rooms! We loved that it was gated and had a washer/dryer with available soap! It was great to go home with clean laundry! The two year old especially enjoyed the deep jetted tub!

Beautiful surroundings. Room was fully stocked and spacious. Whirlpool tub was a plus. Eat prior to going to water park no food or drinks for meals there just snacks in machines. Bring your own towels or towels from your room to pool and water park. Towels are not provided there.
