Sophia Boutique Hotel

Beautiful clean room and private pool space. Excellent location in a quiet area that was only a 15 min walk to Oia and 20 min drive to Thira. Bar staff were wonderful and helpful, always trying to go the extra mile in making our stay special and relaxed. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every day. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone visiting Santorini.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s very close to Oia, close to restaurants, and has a great view! The breakfasts are amazing! We also enjoyed the private jaccuzi in our room balcony.

Absolutely terrible experience. This property was nothing like what was advertised and completely ruined what was supposed to be a dream family trip. The TV didn’t work the entire stay, WiFi barely worked, lights were broken or hanging dangerously low from the ceiling, the air conditioning was unreliable, and the sink was completely clogged. The “minibar and refrigerator” turned out to be one tiny overheating mini fridge that had to be unplugged just to use the kettle. There were no utensils, no dishes, and no wardrobe despite it being listed in the booking. The private pool was dirty, pool lights didn’t work, and the jets only worked occasionally. The whole place felt neglected and poorly maintained. The worst part was the complete lack of staff and communication. After 5pm the place became a ghost town. Messages and emails were ignored for days. My daughter had an allergic reaction and we urgently needed ice, but there was nobody anywhere to help us. Other guests were also walking around trying to find staff because nobody could get assistance. During our stay we saw multiple guests leave within 24 hours because they were so unhappy, and new guests arriving who couldn’t even check in properly and were extremely annoyed trying to find someone to help them. We were also given false information about taxis accepting card payments, which left us stranded with no cash. This was honestly one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve ever had. BEWARE...PROPERTY IS NOT THE ONE DESCRIBED. Greeted by a member of staff straight from the transfer (that was pre arranged) taken straight to our room. The room and size were ok, it was pretty although there were some signs of wear and tear. A leak down the wall in the hallway, and some MDF above the main door that may have been a temporary fix for something. We quickly discovered the left hand side of the property was out of electricity, so we had to move the fridge. Someone came to look at it. But the problem wasn't fixed. We took a stroll and thought we'd take a dip in the pool. We couldn't find it. Couldn't get hold of the contact so thought we'd try and find reception. We walked into a neighbouring business who called the hotel for us. The lady answered and abruptly told us there was no reception and no pool. Yet both were described or pictured on the booking. We then tried to contact the staff via phone but they wouldn't answer again. We simply wanted to leave and get a refund as the property is not the one in the pictures. We got a text "I'll speak with you tomorrow!" With exclamation mark. The following day the member of staff came to us and told us due to Easter no staff were available. If that's the case they shouldn't be open over that period?! We said we don't care if it's a religious holiday, as we were on honeymoon and their business was open. We were told, "well I don't care it's your honeymoon." Worst travel experience I've ever had.

Originally I was supposed to stay at this hotel but due to the storm the property was damage. They were able to move me to another sister hotel near by in Oia, It was extremely gorgeous and it was an upgrade, but it didn't quite fit our trip. We reached out to the manager and she was able to accommodate us to another hotel. It was absolutely beautiful and stunning. The views we got from seeing the sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The breakfast was really good!! Definitely would come back again and stay with Sophia Hotels again!
