What guests think

At WoodSpring Suites South Plainfield, reviews highlight an extended-stay, budget setup with in-room kitchens and generally friendly staff, but note inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance plus noticeable noise from thin walls and nearby highway traffic.

Guests repeatedly cite dirty floors and bathrooms, lingering smoke or cooking smells, and occasional pests like roaches, though others do report very clean rooms. Rooms are practical with kitchenettes and full fridges, but supplies can be sparse and several mention basic or uncomfortable beds alongside occasional TV or internet issues. On-site laundry and parking are noted, while amenities are minimal for short stays, with no breakfast or lobby coffee. Overall, expect a no-frills, self-catering stay with variable standards.

Front desk staff was amazing at check in. Very helpful and friendly. However the room had a jump rope from someone who left it there. Didn’t show signed it was cleaned other than vacummed and bed made. Bathroom had residue on outside of toilet bowl that it wasn’t cleaned. At 10:30am upon check out, housekeeper rushed me to leave. I wondered why rush me at 10:30 to barely clean and check out is 11am.

I wish I could say that the room was clean, but it wasn’t. I’ve visited here several times and it really seems to be falling off. It was jelly across the dishwasher, the soap wrapper that was used was thrown behind the trash, and when I move the trash, I put something in. It was garbage behind it. They will also evidence of the floor, not being swept or mopped. Not to mention something in the tub that showed me that it wasn’t exactly cleaned well. I called directly downstairs and they did send someone to clean up as soon as possible. But this is something I feel like I shouldn’t have to do when I’m checking in also a problem was we were disturbed 15 minutes before checkout by the cleaning staff. Why are you knocking on our door when you don’t even clean the room?

This place was a good stay. It did the job and served a purpose for us. We were in town for a couple days visiting family and friends. Front desk was nice - I think his name was John was able to let my Husband and I check in early with no issues. We got a clean room. No complaints. Great customer service no issues. It was noisy because we were facing the highway but im use to noise so it didnt bother us. It had microwave, fridge dishwasher etc, the shower pressure could have been stronger but it served its purpose. No complaints from us.

The bed area was clean , as was toilet. But surface needed a good wipe down. The facilities aren't crazy old , there have obviously been some updates and painted walls but in general, everything is sort of low quality and a bit worn out. If I had to stay longer than the two nights, I probably would have canceled and rebooked somewhere else to be more comfortable. No blackout curtains, but not offensively smelly or musty, but not fresh either, just kind of a notch below average. Very affordable stay, but I would honestly rather pay the twenty bucks a night to get something better quality and more comfortable. Alerted the front desk to the fact there was constant a beeping in the hallway for a 2 days straight. And as of when I checked out, still had not been resolved, that was annoying. And could be heard in bedroom overnight. Thankfully I had earplugs with me. Fine in a pinch, but wouldn't stay here again. Generally felt safe and parking lot was lit well. Not many food or convenience places in immediate Area. There was a dunkin' donuts, a short drive for mourning breakfast, which was good since hotel, doesn't provide any. Other people staying there weren't loud or rude, but it was noisy from thin walls and echoes.

This property is geared toward long term rentals not 1 or 2 night stays Floors were dirty, and we had to hunt for any dish wear ( it was all in the dishwasher) Even though this was a “suite” with full kitchen a coffee maker was not included. I found WoodSpring Suites to be great. It was clean, nice room, loved having small kitchen area, it saved me from having to go out for meals. The staff was very friendly and courteous this time I stayed. The first time I stayed the young girl at the desk was not very friendly, and I hesitated coming back again because of her. But this time the woman at the desk was wonderful. Was very impressed with the security you have in place and I felt I was safe. Thank you!
