Nicely decorated clean and comfortable no-frills property in downtown Onancock. Nobody onsite except housekeeping. No elevator. We enjoyed it for a one-night stay.

Love this Hotel. They are a phone call away for any kind of help and accommodating each guest. I will definitely stay here again!

Self check-in..no idea where to park so went to a bar who helped us. Restaurant advertised at the bottom was closed. A sheet was left detailing other eateries. Three flights of stairs. We were hoping we could tip someone to help us but never saw a staff person at all. Very disappointing.

The hotel is in a cute town that's walkable, with plenty of restaurants and shops. The property is managed like an Airbnb, so no staff were on-site when we checked in or when we left. The check-in process was quick and easy, with the keys left at the front desk. The bathrooms included all the nice amenities like hair care, etc. The hotel is quaint, and they have a lot to offer -- I had only one complaint. The fire alarm battery in reception was dying so it chirped every few minutes. I called the after-hours contact line at 8:30 pm and explained that it could be heard throughout the hotel (which is an old house). No one came by, and it continued to chirp all night. The good news is, I'm sure the battery has been replaced so you won't have to worry about it!

No staff on site to check us in. An envelope with instructions was left for us in the lobby (main door unlocked at ALL times). Found the room unlocked with the key hanging on the wall inside. The whole check in process is a security concern. The web site says free self-parking. There is street parking in front but limited to 3 hours. We called the management number. An operator answering the call tried to connect us to the management but got no answer. We left a message but never got a call or text back (ever). We figured out parking on a side street. Hotel is advertised as "quaint". It is, but not in a charming way. Everything is outdated and in urgent need of renovation/maintenance. AC on the wall was full on but not cooling. The old-school window unit did cool but was noisy. No table/desk/in the room (#24)-not even a nightstand. The room was too small for two people. The TV was in the closet (didn't use it so not sure if working). No fridge or coffeemaker in the room. They are both in the common area in the lobby along with an ice machine. All three work. The room, the bed sheets, towels were very clean. The wi-fi was ok. It was quiet in the night (except for the old AC in room) The restaurant is closed, there is no bar, no breakfast offered. No staff at any time. Only heard one other person - cleaning the rooms in the morning. The management does not respond to questions. Paid $140+ for one night. Way overpriced for what we got (or didn’t get) in return. Not recommended.
