Employees on site were very helpful, but I feel like you’re understaffed, and the desk clerk had a lot of responsibilities. The bathroom in my room could use some updates, and the elevator as it was noisy when riding it to/from room. Overall, my stay there was okay.

Room was excellent, staff was superb, breakfast was 100% but the only issue with our stay was that POOL was filthy with all kinds of bugs in the water at 11am. Somebody should have cleaned the water around 9-10.

Check in was less desirable when I had to speak to the front desk attendant first because she was on her phone. The hallway needed to be vacuumed. Tv didn’t work. Took several trips to the front desk which each time the attendant was on her phone texting before I was offered to move to another room. The phone didn’t work so that’s why several trips down to the desk.At that point we were too tired to pack up to go to a different room. Seen a huge roach in the hallway.Have a picture of the unvacuumed hallway & roach. No salt for eggs for breakfast No ketchup No sugar for coffee Out of code yogurt (by 11 days) No Sweet rolls left. This was 9:15 on a Saturday morning. Breakfast available til 10

The hotel is nice. The cleaning could be more thorough. The hallways never got vacuumed and they replaced the towels but didn’t clean the bathroom at all. Also, only three towels were provided for a reservation for four. I had to ask for more every day as they took all of the towels, even if they were hanging and replaced with three, even if they took more:

The property overall is not maintained at a high standard. The biggest issue however, are the roaches. Upon check-in, we saw a roach as soon as we walked into our room. I’m not sure if he was there to greet us but we asked to change rooms. The staff accommodated our request and we didn’t see any roaches in the new room that night. Unfortunately, over the next few days they started to show up. Seriously, if you have an infestation like that it needs to be addressed. I understand it will cost money, but your guest deserve better.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Responding to requests without hesitation. However, room could stand a thorough cleaning: the floors were not clean, tile in the bathroom was dirty, wood floor at the entrance of the room was extremely dirty and carpet needed to be cleaned. On our last day, trash and towels were picked up, but the beds were not made, no towels left, no rash bag was left in one of the garbage bags.😞

Everything looked clean but we ended up being bitten by bed bugs. There are a lot of bites. When we asked for a manager we could not see them until after 10 a.m. and we could not wait. The lady at the desk took all of the info and looked at the bites and noted them. She promised the manager would call me and they did not. The person in charge of cleaning happened to be there to witness everything also. She left in a hurry once she saw all of my bites. She told the other lady she would be back but I never saw her again. I want a refund for all of the problems this has caused.

The room had 2 TVs divided by a breeze way with a desk, couch, and chair on one side and 2 queen beds on the other side. We loved the layout of the room and the shower was really nice. The room had a microwave, Kerig and small refrigerator, however, could not get the kerig to work. Good news though they serve coffe all day downstairs. The complimentary breakfast was like a buffet which was really nice. My biggest complaints are the beds are so soft we had to each pick a bed and lay diagonally. One other couple complained that there beds were too lumpy. The couch was also a disappointment because it was low to the ground cushions sunk bad while sitting.

The room was clean and the hotel itself a very clean environment. The shower door in our bathroom was difficult to open. The walls are apparently very thin as we could hear our neighbors conversations clearly at midnight. Our air conditioner was also struggling to work and made loud noises all night. Would not stay here again.

Super clean. Easy check in. Real food on the breakfast line. The window covering was a black out shade that was so good, I had to check if there was even a window there (there was)!!! I usually am kept awake by the lights outside coming in through a crack in the curtains. Not here!!

Stay was great overall. Only issues were breakfast was pretty much gone 15 minutes before it was to close. Biggest complaint is the day we were checking out, we went for breakfast at 8:00am and went back to our room and our keys had already become inactive. Check out is 11:00. Keys should work until that time or when desk is notified of our check out. This is very frustrating when that happens!

I checked in on Tuesday night around 11:00am. The gentleman attending the desk was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He explained everything in detail and asked several times if I had any questions. He answered all my questions. On Wednesday after breakfast (around 8:40am…..I needed a toothbrush and I locked myself out. The desk attendant was fabulous. She was courteous, kind and efficient and took excellent care of me. I LOVED MY STAY.

I didn't like the check in process it took the lady at the front desk 20 minutes to check me in considering I had a 16 hour drive from Chicago to SouthCarolina.It was unbelievable how the manager didn't make sure her staff was well trained before she went out of town on vacation. For the price of the rooms I would expect better front desk service. My card was swiped 💳 more than 6 times and I was over charged $50 twice for the room fee.I received $50 and now the lady at the front desk said I may not receive the next $50 till 14 business days later?I received $50 now 2 days later and the $50 over pay I will get 14 business days later makes no since at all!!!Please give me the $50 you owe ASAP!!!Time to train your front desk staff better Holiday Inn Express!

There was no one at the desk when I arrived. I don"t know how long I waited, but it was at least 10 minutes. She was very pleasant, at least, when she arrived. I realized later in the evening that there was only one bath towel and no Kleenex in the room. When I called down to the desk to have them brought up, I was told she couldn't leave the desk (Really? She had already , left it earlier) and there was no one else available so we could have the items if we came down. We were already changed into our pajamas, so it was particularly inconvenient. Lots of things had been missed by the cleaning staff. Worst was that the bathroom outlet was VERY loose. Major electrical hazard. Room 309. That room should not be rented out! No one asked how my stay was when I checked out. Lack of training of staff and lack of customer service and lack of safety make this a hotel to avoid.

The property itself was what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Staff was lazy and not proactive. Molding in bathroom was gross and the shower head had a major leak. Only one towel for a reservation for two. Worst experience was the breakfast in the morning. Came down to empty hot plates and trash overflowing onto the table for coffee. When I asked about the food being gone, the receptionist looked up from her seated position on her phone and said "they\'re cooking more." For 150 a night, go with Cambria or any other hotel in the Nexton area other than this one.

There were not enough towels--even for the one night we were there. There were 2 mostly used toilet paper rolls and an almost empty box of kleeex, glad we were not there too long. One staff member was a lttle pushy on the rewards program--I am pretty patient but was annoyed for sure. The breakfast staff was great and friendly.

When I checked in, I was immediately met with warmth and hospitality. The front desk personnel were amazing, and they even upgraded my room. It is hard to come by great customer service these days, so it was refreshing when I experienced that upon arrival. Also, my hotel room was very clean and the breakfast was decent. I highly recommend!

Clean room & convenient location.Next door to food lion,walmart down the street,& many dining options nearby.Everything from fast food to Hall's Chophouse! Upon arrival the fridge in my room wasn't working. The female at the desk had the maintenance man put a good fridge in my room immediately. It was taken care of in about 10 minutes! The only complaint i have is i could hear the music they play outside at the entrance to the lobby all night because my room was in the front of the hotel next to the lobby. They should turn the outdoor music off or least down at a certain time at night. Other than that,i enjoyed my stay& will stay there again.

Not bad for a free breakfast every morning. Everyone was friendly. Hotel was clean. Food Lion is right next to it. A ton of places to eat are across the street. Charleston is about 30 minute drive. I would stay again.

The breakfast was not good. The sausage was not appealing and was salty the biscuits were hard. The coffee and the cinnamon rolls were good. Love love the pillows, the comfy bed and the walk in shower!! Will stay again if you can modify the breakfast.
