Very nice and clean. Be aware there is no elevator which makes it difficult to take luggage up and down the stairs. If you’re on the second floor going to pool, breakfast, coffee, etc. becomes a real chore. Staff was nice.

Very nice small hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice beds, good breakfast. The only thing that is odd about this place is that they do not have an elevator!! Not a problem for me this trip, but if I had a lot of bags it could have been inconvenient. This should be more clear on the website.

What a nice place! We went to see the Eclipse and were hoping for something quiet, reasonable, clean, comfortable and away from all the craziness of some of the bigger towns/cities. We booked two rooms and although never requesting they be adjoining, when we checked in to our pleasant surprise they were! Staff were great and after having had time to bring in our baggage, check our rooms and get settled in, a staff member called to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything!!!! Didn't even know there was such a thing! The rooms were nice size, bedding was very comfortable, breakfast was great and there were many options for breakfast. The decor was nice and welcoming. The price was very reasonable and they had a pool and a bar!!! What more can you ask for? Can't say enough good about the place!!! We drove a very short distance into town and ate at a Mexican Restaurant that was just as pleasantly surprising and accommodating!! I've been at 5 star resorts that weren't anywhere near this level of customer service and met all the expectations of an over night stay!

The Hotel was new and clean, which we appreciated. The staff/ manager at the desk was friendly and helpful with directions as well as providing a list of local eateries. The only complaint is that there is no guest elevator in this hotel...pretty much unheard of...especially since some folks have difficulty with stairs.

If you are staying here to rest or sleep for a trip be sure to let the front desk know. I was in room 221 which is right above the outdoor "lounge" area. It was a nice evening outside and the lounge doesn't close until 10:30 or 11:30 if it's crowded. It was very loud. Ask to have a room that faces the front of the building to avoid this.

Everything was fine, you could see the cleanliness. My only qualms were the pillows were awful, and $234 was a lot for a simple room. I do understand in this day and age, they need to meet their expenses, but if it wasn’t so close to. Wedding, I wouldn’t have picked it due to the price.

We were a little surprised to find there wasn’t an elevator, but we don’t mind the extra steps—exercise is always a plus! However, I did want to share some honest feedback about our check-in experience. When we arrived, the front desk staff member, Nicole, came across as a bit short with us. Later, when our daughter went down to request two extra pillows, she was met with a dismissive response: “Did you not find them?” There were only two pillows in the room, and we simply needed a couple more to feel comfortable during our stay. As guests, we expect a welcoming attitude, and unfortunately, her demeanor didn’t reflect that. It felt like she didn’t want to be there. That said, the rest of the staff we interacted with during our stay were wonderful—friendly, respectful, and helpful. One more note: we stayed in a suite with a king bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed could definitely use an upgrade—it felt like we were sleeping directly on the springs. Thank you for taking the time to consider our feedback.

This is the second property with this chain that I’ve stayed at and I was impressed by the value with both. When traveling for work, I just need a clean soft bed, good water pressure with plenty of hot water, a fridge (for my drinks that I keep in the cooler while driving or at a job site, and quiet. They check all the boxes at a reasonable price.

Complained about the ac not working and nothing was done. There was no bread for breakfast. Housekeeping had done a pathetic job of cleaning the rooms. I asked for a partial refund before checking out and no word on that. The staff was courteous but that doesn’t help with bad service. While I was checking out there was a maintenance guy there to fix the ac of the room we were staying in so they clearly knew the ac in room 122 wasn’t working. But they completely ignored and didn’t even log the complaint.

It would be 5/5 but when I got there I was told the manager is trying to be strict about the 3pm check in. I have never been told I couldn't check in to an empty room, and it is particularly obnoxious to be in that situation when i have to pay a full night to check out at 7PM. If you are a 3rd shifter you may want to call and ask if early check in is available before you book.

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean, breakfast was hot and good. Had many items to pick from for snacks. The staff was helpful. We mentioned how icy the parking lot was and was told the service was called 3 times to salt. The receptionist went out and salted around our car and the walkway to the hotel. I am highly recommended this Hotel with the above and beyond employees.

Natalie the manager and her staff run an exceptional ship. I have stayed all over the world and paid four times the amount for much less of a room. They were friendly courteous helpful and the hotel at six years old felt like they had just cut the ribbon on opening day. This might sound like an over the top review at this place is Wonderful. Anyone on their way to Chicago and points north, and need a place for respite, this sits about two hours south on I 57. Seek it out you won’t be disappointed. Also the little pizza place down the road was fantastic. A beautiful clean little town with friendly people. I loved it

The gentleman at the desk did offer to help with our luggage, fortunately we only had an overnight bag. Our clerk at check out was also very friendly and helpful. Bottom line, I would stay again.

Very clean, very good service. In the middle of nowhere, so limited dining / entertainment options. I personally loved the ruralness, but be aware of the limitations. Stayed for an Illini game and was great getting in and out. Would stay again.

the hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. About the only negative was the lack of a "real meat" at breakfast. That said, the sausage gravy wasn't bad. I really enjoyed my two-day stay there. Paxton is a neat little town with enough food choices to please most people.
