What guests think

At Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rock Hill, guests often praise the friendly front desk, generally clean rooms, a good breakfast, and the convenient location near restaurants just off I-77, making it an easy overnight stop.

Many find the beds comfortable and rooms quiet, with some noting spacious layouts. Recurring downsides include occasional room odors, thin walls or highway noise, and maintenance issues such as broken fridges or TVs. Housekeeping can be limited on longer stays, and a few reviews cite check-in delays, reservation or billing problems, and breakfast closing earlier than expected. Overall, it suits short stopovers, with practical comfort and a few inconsistencies to keep in mind.

This hotel was rated higher than I would have expected. It is an aging property that is struggling to stay clean & up to date. The common areas are clean & well maintained, but our room was not. There was a distinct odor every time we entered the room—a slightly urine like smell—could be mold or mildew, as there was no ventilation fan for the bathroom & it got very steamy in there while showering. The carpet had holes in it & the tub & shower had cracks & moldy spots in it. The TV did not work—some kind of digital error that wouldn’t allow channels to load & the remote control was filthy. There was also a device on the wall facing my side of the bed that had blinking green lights (maybe a smoke detector) that was fairly distracting when the lights were off at night. The bed & pillows were comfy & clean & the breakfast was plentiful & tasty. The front desk staff was kind but the hotel did run out of bathroom & pool towels at one point during the weekend.

One of the nicest facilities weve stayed in. The area has a generous supply of restaurants. It is within walking distance of a mice mall. There is ample parking. The room was large and the bathroom was separate from the bed area.

After being paid by Expedia, the hotel charged me again. After numerous times trying to get the hotel to resolve the issue and getting no response, I would recommend that anyone staying at this hotel be very careful about giving them a credit card for incidentals. My credit card company issued a refund and also a new card, but said that they were having issues with management of the property also.
