The location is great. The hotel has a rooftop terrace and a cold pool. The restaurant is yummy but no free breakfast. The room was comfortable. Beds and pillows were fine. A plus was that the windows were updated and double glass so the noise outside noise was minimal. The room seemed clean at first. We realized after a few days some towels were stained and some had weird smells. We found a cockroach and the management did nothing about it. The bathroom had some mold and the water didn’t drain very well.

The hotel is an older truly beautiful hotel. In the heart of all historical sites. It's very clean and well maintained. The staff is excellent. Our Jr. Suite was spacious. The wifi, tv, a/c, hot water, water pressure was very good. The not so good... the hotel restaurant has mediocre food. The pool and Jacuzzi are NOT heated. The water was very, very cold. Beautiful pool area, just not a swimmable pool or relaxing Jacuzzi. If you need help getting transportation, Mr. Ricardo is your man. He's the gentleman pictured in a hotel uniform. He had all the info. He speaks English as well. Overall a pleasant stay, just wished the pool and Jacuzzi were heated.

The hotel is located right in the historic centre of Guadalajara, meaning it’s really convenient for the old town. Upon arrival at reception, we are a gay couple and there was a look of surprise on the receptionists face when I confirmed we wanted one bed for two people. The room was good itself; but the bathroom could do with some modernisation work. We were only given one soap for 5 days and it was gone by fay 4 and not replaced. The gym could also do with renovating. Two of the three treadmills jolted during use meaning they were quite dangerous, especially at speed, so I went running around town instead to avoid injury on the machines due to their poor upkeep.

A wonderful service, the only down on my end, I ask for an upgrade as I booked to celebrate my bday and without hesitation the representative stated no. Also, I was not aware parking was an extra charge. Breakfast at the hotel was ok, cold and dry, do have to say, parking attendance was wonderful. but overall our experience was good,

Everything was great, only thing needed was a more welcoming and cheerful staff in the kitchen area…. Letty with house keeping was amazing. Also hot tub was not hot whatsoever and ac in the room was a hit or miss every day

Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. We had a view of the cathedral which was spectacular. Friendly and accommodating staff. Its too bad the pool was so cold, I don't think it gets much use but the courtyard setting is gorgeous.

Rooms are very small and bathrooms . The pool is very cold including the jacuzzi it is not functioning . House keeping is great. The front desk is not too friendly and are limited on toilet paper and water for rooms

Great location in Centro, walkable to markets & historic sites downtown. Great service. Clean, comfortable beds & room. A couple chairs & desk/tables. In-room safe. Our room was quiet. The shower was spacious & good pressure. (We did find a big dead cockroach in the shower, and staff quickly came to remove it). The pool & pool area looked nice although we didn't use. Overall really pleased.

El hotel, está muy céntrico pero encontramos pelos pegados en la pared del baño, como que alguien se afeitó la piel, y ahí dejaron pegados los bellos. Se le avisó a recepción y nos cambiaron de habitación. El desayuno del restaurante del hotel está más o menos, no tiene mucho sazón la comida.

The staff and area are excellent, the hotel is beautiful. But it beeds some improvements, like i stayed on the second floor and who ever walks at night or if someone talks during the night, you can hear everything. There is no sound proof. You get waken up by any noise, also the water pressure is bad, specially the toilet.

This is a hotel that was built in the 1950s so it definitely has character. The upkeep is terrific other than a couple of things of note: the upstairs patio chairs and tables could use more regular cleaning- it’s very dusty in town and things will naturally pick all that up along with all the pigeons and others that make their home around there. The hotel is surprisingly noisy with all the room doors having to be shut with a bit of force. Some it is constant noise/ like it or not I had to have the air conditioner running so it would drown some of that out. Maybe some sort of portable signage on each floor in front of the elevator after 10-11pm reminding guests to be respectful. Please note the menus in the dining room are limited but what they do serve is excellent. I would definitely recommend this stay in the heart of Historico central.

Location location location! If you want to be walking distance to all the Historic landmarks and all the Mercados, this is the place to stay! The staff were all super sweet, attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our family. The hotel was in a safe, clean and quiet area. The mattress was a little too firm for me, but the room was nice. Highly recommend and will stay here again. Also, this hotel could use a bar/coffee walk-up area. Lastly, first VIP property that actually provided all the extras that Expedia promotes you may receive when you stay as a VIP property. I travel often and this was the first hotel that held their end of the bargain, so thank you and why you will have a repeat customer.

Malo el servicio y la atención del personal desde la recepción. Nos tuvieron que cambiar de cuarto porque el que nos habían asignado no servían las llaves del baño. También notamos que no le están poniendo la atención debida a la limpieza de los cuartos y en general de las instalaciones. Quizá lo único que se mantiene más o menos bien es el restaurante, pero tampoco está como en el pasado. El personal del hotel se nota muy desmotivado ya que cuando les comentamos las deficiencias que encontramos, asumieron que era cierto, que el hotel ha decaído últimamente. El servicio de mantenimiento de las instalaciones está pésimo. Quedamos invitados a no regresar y espero que pronto corrijan sus deficiencias y que vuelva a ser el gran hotel que en el pasado fue.

Absolutely horrible customer service take your money elsewhere. I booked and payed at the property and had to leave a night early I notified the front desk at 11pm and they insisted that Expedia need to approve my refund but I payed at the property?!I checked out the following morning at 8am and received a call from the supervisor saying they couldn’t give me my money back. As soon as Expedia reached out they said Monday they would process the refund. Myra the supervisor is the absolute worst she hung up on me mid call still saying Expedia needed their commission and that they had no record of that conversation happening. This hotel only wants to keep people’s money. Stay elsewhere.

Staff was great and very helpful with questions I had. Hotel is walkable to plenty of cafes, museums, dining choices and church. The pool was good and we were able to order drinks from restaurant while relaxed at pool. I loved that we were also able to order taxis from hotel, it made me feel safer and the service was outstanding.

This is my go to place when in Guadalajara. Plus my last name is Mendoza. Great a/c! Walking distance to the plaza and great dining and shopping close by. The restaurant is amazing. The staff is amazing. Be back again next year.

The hotel is very nice. The restaurant is delicious. It does take long to serve but the food is delicious, good portions, and great price. The building is old and with that comes very slow plumbing and electrical issues. The Wi-Fi is terrible there. Overall a great place with very friendly staff and very good food as long as you do not need Wi-Fi in your room.

Very convenient .. close to everything resturants, churches, shopping!! Most tours pick u up down the block! The breakfast was limited but very good! They cleaned the rooms daily! Smelled so clean… no fridge no microwave .. wifi perfect and ac was good! Pool was cold and smaller .. I loved it!!
