Super 8 by Wyndham Hayward WI

I cannot stress these words enough- DO NOT STAY HERE. This is both the most expensive room I've stayed in in the last 5 years, and the worst room I've ever had the displeasure of staying in. We only stayed 1 night even though we paid for 2. Nearly $200/night. Allow me to start w/the minor stuff. The rooms look nothing like the pics online. I think they used AI to create pics that they posted. We did not get the room we booked(Single King bed, handicap accessibility.) We were given a single queen without shower bars. Barely any furniture(1 bed, 1 rolling desk chair. No closet, wardrobe, dresser, closet bar, suitcase stand, hangers, or hooks for clothes. The room was a mess. The foors were dirty, cigarette burns on the sink and all over the bathtub. The walls were poorly patched, nothing hanging (echo chamber),and the remote control didn't work. Now for the serious stuff. Room Security is abysmal. There is no deadbolt, chain, or door bar. The room had windows that are about 12-18 inches off the ground that open wide enough for a person. There were holes in the screens, so we turned on the AC. After about 30 minutes both my fiancé and my sinuses clogged, we laid down to go to sleep and we were both coughing. I get out of bed to adjust the AC I grab my flash light so i can better see the buttons and discoverd the inside of the AC is covered in black mold. We decided to leave. Hotels.com couldn't get my money back, the motel wouldnt refund. Unacceptable!

Broken toilet seat and the tanked leaked. The room had a smell. I can see they are trying to fix the place up. Maybe in a little it will be better.

Easy check in and out with polite staff. The 3am no later than check in was a great policy.

Went for a quick trip, and our favorite regular motel in Hayward was on vacation, the rest were booked up. This is the typical independent (iykyk) low-budget hotel. Mostly surface clean (meaning floors and counters), but I found a broken fingernail in the shower. Horrible-quality mattress the bed was hard with zero cushion. The towels and sheets are all extremely thin and scratchy. The toilet itself should be replaced. The air conditioner was held in with duct tape and a paper towel shoved into a hole, and there were still gaps around it. The heat register was knocked off its rail. Little things that would take minor money and time to fix. And for the prices being charged per night, they can afford to fix and use higher quality mattresses and linens. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're absolutely stuck (like we were).

Absolutely a horrible hotel. When we arrived we got into our room and AC was on but our room was very warm. We turned it down and left to have dinner when we arrived back it was even hotter. Decided to go enjoy the pool which hot tub was under maintenance which was fine but it was not blocked off at all and water was still in it. The whole pool area smelled like someone took a poop honestly. We couldn’t even enjoy. Went back to our room and it was even hotter. Went to talk to front desk and we got told they know they are not working and that they have new ones they just haven’t been able to replace yet due to how heavy they are. We found mold on the floor board. The heat/air registers didn’t have full covers on them and I had my 2 year old in this room and I had to keep him away from that side of the room. We also had ants all over our room. In our bed, on the floor, on the table. Horrible horrible hotel. I did not recommend. They did nothing to help us. We also heard numerous other guest’s complaining about rooms and they did nothing to help.
