What guests think

Aloft Louisville East draws praise for its friendly staff, modern dog friendly vibe, generally clean spaces, and a convenient east side location near shopping and dining, with a lively bar and useful amenities like a pool and gym.

Several reviews note road noise or thin walls and loud in-room HVAC, plus occasional maintenance or layout issues like small bathrooms and awkward showers. On-site food options are limited and breakfast is usually not included, leading to some disappointment and confusion with listings. Overall, expect a comfortable, streamlined stay rather than a full-service experience.

The full service bar in this aloft is just so pretty and the cocktails were good. I also love the area around the hotel as it is a very easy area to walk a dog. Not so urban like some hotels plenty of grass

A lot of children (ice skating/dance competitions) unsupervised in the gym and pool areas. Rowdy and noisy about hotel. Our room- poor water pressure in shower. A lot of the shower head openings appeared clogged. We had to put our thermostat on 78-80 for it to moderately blow warm. We usually stay here about 5-6 times per year while in Louisville because of the location.

Convenience to our site. Nice bed and good size of room. The room faces the busy road and it was extremely Noisy til late in the evening which went on til 3 r 4 am. There was no sound machine and the insulation was insufficient. The bathroom shampoo and soaps were nice The evening staff were decidedly unwelcoming and that was odd and in stark contrast contrast to the morning and daytime staff. Not sure I would revisit.

Pro—Bed was comfortable. Cons—The room lacked sufficient lighting for reading unless in bed. There was only one light switch for the bathroom area. If you turned the bathroom light on, the light over the sink shone into the bedroom area. The light in the toilet room illuminated the bed area through a frosted glass panel so you ran the risk of waking up your sleeping partner if you got up to go to the bathroom during the night. Big shower BUT you got soaked trying to adjust the water temp as the door was to the far right so you had to be in the shower under the shower head when turning on the water—not a good design. Closet was an open area but not deep enough for hangers so it was a post about 8-9 inches—couldn’t hang too many pieces of clothing. Free Breakfast was not available. Room was small. We won’t be staying at a Loft again.

I’ve stayed in aloft before and have always been impressed by how well they were maintained. This one is not maintained well at least our room wasn’t. The shower door wouldn’t close and water pooled on the floor. The shower floor was warped somehow too. The construction overall is poor compared. The staff were nice and helpful.

We stayed in Aloft many times, and all together I like those hotels, and the smart layout of their rooms, so I was very surprised to experience what we experienced in Aloft East Louisville. The room was wore out, furniture had scratches in the surface, but that wasn’t the reason for negative opinion. We left a blanket behind, and called the hotel right after we left, we were told to call the next morning, so we did, spoke to a lady, she never called back, we left a few messages - no response, nothing!!

Key cards did not work for the room. Went back down to reception, was told it was the battery in the door (no apology for the inconvenience). Called someone to fix it. Person greeted us, said they would meet us at the room. Several minutes waiting at the door before he showed up. Replaced battery but then had to reprogram our keys. Several minutes before he returned. He did provide vouchers for free breakfast for the inconvenience. Total time waiting was well over 20 minutes. Would have preferred that front desk immediately switched us to a different room and let maintenance deal with the battery issue without inconveniencing us.
