What guests think

Reviews of Extended Stay America Select Suites - Lake Worth describe a budget stay with serious trade-offs, citing frequent pest issues, inconsistent service and security concerns, basic rooms with limited amenities, and disruptive noise including late-night fire alarms.

Many guests report cockroaches in rooms and common areas, dirty hallways and elevators, and strong odors. Service feedback is mixed: some praise friendly staff, but others faced closed or understaffed front desks, slow check-in, and reservation or refund problems. Location is convenient to highways and the beach, yet several travelers felt unsafe due to loitering and late-night activity. Expect a low-price, no-frills stay with significant cleanliness and reliability concerns.

Small roaches everywhere, ac did not cool correctly. Water pressure in shower very poor. Web site says grab and go breakfast , there was no breakfast, it was written on a paper at the window. There is no lobby, just a window to talk thru the rep behind it. Had trouble with the room keys two days in a row.

Elevator was broken during the stay and on the 4th floor. Also, the stairways were very dirty as if they have never been cleaned. Outside at night there were so many people loitering in the parking lot, unsure if they were guest or just random people passing by and hanging out. So, for not much more money you can stay at several other properties nearby and it's much cleaner, safer, and shows a little more pride in ownership. I won't stay here again.

The property are filled with homeless people and limited parking area. The customers service girl was rude, didnt feel like to ask them for anything. A simple extra towel/rag you couldn't get unless you exchanged the 2 that they gave you in the room. And they charged you for dirty towels/rags if you want to exchanged them for a clean one. Would never recommend or stay here again.

The elevator broke while visiting and staying on the 4th floor! The entire place had a horrible odor and gave the appearance it had not been cleaned in years! The room itself was “ok” the bed was not comfortable. Not to mention the vagrants all hanging out in the parking lot and near the entrance. I didn’t know if I would get robbed or propositioned! I would NOT recommend you stay here unless you are a smoker and you enjoy the stinking of smoke, fried food, and mold! Please do better !!!

The room itself looked nice when I walked in. But it was infested with roaches. I’m from Florida, so a roach here and there is no problem. But I saw them everywhere. At night I’d watch them crawling over the walls. And daylight didn’t seem to scare them off either. Gross.

The room included a refrigerator and air conditioner, but the refrigerator didn't work and the air conditioner had leaked a puddle of water on the floor that extended 4 feet away from the AC unit. Mopped it up with a towel, only to find another puddle later that evening and another the next morning. The beds were comfortable at least.

Decent price to stay one night. Dont expect it to be quiet though. People were yelling and running down the hall at midnight. The fire alarm that was in my room was BLARING in the middle of the night. Not just once, but 3 TIMES for several minutes. It was unbearable! The bed was terrible. I could feel the springs. Could not get the tv channels to work. I had to log into my netflix. Not a bad thing just would have preferred to watch local programing. This was my second time here and my first experience was not this bad. Don't think I'll go back.

The fire alarm system is faulty and produced random false alarms (as described by an employee) in the middle of the night. The first night was around 4 AM scaring the crap out of me and my son. The second night was around 2 AM. The staff and management are aware of this and don't seem to care about getting it fixed. When I asked an employee how long this has been going on the reply was that they lost count. Of course, it was impossible to speak to a manager to resolve the situation. This is currently an unsafe property to stay at. Do not waste your money here, you will not get any sleep (which is what I paid for and did not receive)

We arrived at 10:10 pm, which turned out to be 10 minutes after check-in time had ended…we had no clue about this. We had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to check us in, only to be told that they were sold out even though we had a reservation. They then ended up giving us an alternate room, but said that it was missing some of the amenities that we had paid for. We’re still confused about the contradiction there. The room was sub-par. We were told we could talk to the manager in the morning. Turned out that they didn’t speak English, and we don’t speak the manager’s language…so much for talking to them. We will NEVER return

Roaches everywhere! The hallway smells like feces and cigarettes absolutely disgusting! Went to check in late that night and front desk was closed. HOW DOES A FRONT DESK CLOSE?!? I was able to check in thanks to security guard. Extremely confusing check in process. Not to mention that there were so many tweakers surrounding the property! The walk into the hotel should’ve been a sign to avoid staying here! After spending the night there I walked in the following day and noticed all the roaches on my clothing!!!! If you are looking to do crack this is the place to stay!

I wish I'd read the reviews. From the moment I checked in, I should have found another hotel. Anyhow, i was in town for five days. Picked a place with a kitchen, so i could eat in my room. They had no coffee maker in room, at all. I literally went to Walmart and bought one because the hotel had no extras. You had to rent dishware and silver ware for $20 and additional rent cookware for $30. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel where you had to pay for these items. The place had the feel of a homeless shelter. Occupants hanging out around parking lot, working on broken down vehicles. There are signs every where warning occupants don't do this, don't do that or you will be "immediately ejected" from the hotel. In the room I had there was mold around the top edge of of the shower. A hole the size of a fist in the bathroom door. The lights in the bathroom were so dim, I thought they were burnt out. Never again...
