Not a bad location in town for what we needed. Hotel had signs that they were renovating. Outside a hotel employee was super helpful getting our 88 year old mother in who had to use a walker & found us a luggage trolley to bring our bags. Front desk clerk how ever was very curt. Neither Hotel.com nor the actual hotel website mentioned a $100 deposit at the time of checkin. There was an indoor pool that shared the space with the checkin desk, so it was super hot & very humid. Not very pleasant at all. We were on the 3rd floor & used the elevator (which desperately needs to be replaced). The lights that tell you which floor you are on were burned out, so we ended up on the 2nd floor. When the doors opened there was a toilet sitting to the left that apparently had been removed from a room recently. Got to our room finally. Room was much cooler than the lobby & halls. Floors were ok clean, but could have been swept better. Beds were nicely made but the mattress was hard & pillows flat. Hallways, lobby & elevator were not clean with bits of trash & debris. The vending machine on the 3rd floor didn’t work & the ice machine on the first didn’t work. Had to go to second floor for ice. Hotel’s breakfast was biscuits & gravy, cereal, bagels, coffee & juice. Not much selection & very tiny cups & portions. Had to get our room keycards reactivated after the first night since they stopped working by 8 am the next morning. We stayed 2 nights & had little sleep because of noisy guests.

Staff at arrival were very friendly. The room was dirty. Condensation from the AC accumulates right by it. When stepping on the laminate next to it, water came through the floor. The bed only had a sheet on it. We finally found a blanket in a drawer. The towels were multiple shades of white, and did not look clean. We went to the store and bought our own towels. The handles to open the curtains were laying on the AC. The lock for the door was broken off and on the bathroom counter. The bathroom door knob was incredibly hard to turn and my wife almost had to knock on the door for me to let her out. We did not want to walk on the floor in socks or barefoot, so we went and bought some house shoes. The freezer portion of the mini-fridgenwas broken off, but i guess we still had use of a cool place for our drinks. The rotating plate for the microwave was not there. We will never stay at Lubbock Regency Inn again.
