Stayed 1 night

First, the good: The bed was comfortable, despite one quite lumpy pillow. The location is good [close to the state capitol, which I visited. If you haven't seen it, you should, since it is a magnificent structure, like most of the other midwestern capitol buildings.]. Now, the bad: The room door was unlocked when I arrived because it had been left slightly ajar. The room itself shows extreme deferred maintenance. The laminate flooring is disintegrating in some spots. The toilet sprayed water out the handle when flushed. The ill-fitting bathroom door doesn't open all the way because the bottom scrapes into the floor. The thin, thread bare towels were all stained, probably from previous guests wiping the dirt and debris off their bare feet from the floor, which was dirty. The half roll of toilet paper was sitting on the toilet tank because the dispenser had been torn off the wall, the holes still there. (In fairness, there was an extra unwrapped roll provided also.) The cords on the curtain rod over the window air conditioner were disconnected, so I just had to position the curtain by hand. Something is wrong with the aspect on the TV, because the picture is slightly cut off on all four sides; I tried to adjust it, and Googled how to fix it, but nothing worked, so I gave up. If you have the option to stay elsewhere, do so. This hotel is a bad value. Clearly hotels.com has no standards hotels must meet, so I won't book with them anymore.

AC had the filter broken and the air filter was out hanging on window. Not replaced new. The room was ok but disappointed No TV the whole time, because no wifi or signal was shown on tv at all, and the way it's handled the tv dishnetwork was on top of TV was not appropriate. They need a lot of remodel improvement!!!!! Not worth the money spent. Their rate weekly for it is $380 smh. I wouldn't recommend anyone to live there or stay there. At all. We informed the owner at office they said would send someone to fix the TV but no one came. That's shame.

It was a last minute decision to stay in town so I got the least expensive hotel. It’s a very old hotel and mostly out of date. Still has window air conditioning. That said, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No coffee or breakfast items anywhere to be found. The couple running the hotel were very nice and helpful.

Very dirty. There wasn’t any toilet paper or Kleenex. Walls were dirty and the floors were sticky.
