Room itself was nice- full size fridge, stovetop, all silverware, etc. are provided. USB outlets. Breakfast-the usual hotel breakfast. Pool and fitness center were both closed "for renovation" I get it that renos are needed but should have listed that on site. DC in summer, no pool? I would have booked someplace else. They should reduce nightly rate based on no pool/fitness center. Parking is $53.00 a day, it does allow in and out. The area is sketchy, wouldn't feel safe walking around after dark. Nothing to do close by, quite a few homeless sitting around.

I loved the courtyard with the water feature that got you off the street for check in and out. I happened to check in the evening of the meet and greet that offered soup, salad, cookies/brownies as well as wine and beer. That was an added bonus. The staff was very helpful. Easily walked to union market for a fun dinner and also went to the rooftop. Hotel shuttle to union market as well as union station very available although I didn’t use it. My only negative was for some reason the WiFi was iffy and the gate to the garage had to be opened by staff on occasion. It was a wonderful stay and I would use it again in a heartbeat.

I booked this trip for my granddaughter’s graduation with the intention of going to the indoor pool. To my surprise there pool was under renovation!!! They were so excited to come but was very disappointed when they heard about the pool. I also asked for adjoining rooms but that never happened. We got king room on the 4th and 8th floor!! I was happy with the wonderful woman whe worked on Monday morning. She helped me out a lot, even to plan my day trip. We were coming in from New York so it was a great dissatisfaction to us.

They were not clear about their transportation to and from the metro. When they came to pick us up the first day was right at 6pm which is the latest they run the shuttle and they drove right by us with out stopping so we had to walk. When we left on Saturday to go to the train one person the day before said the van could take us at 8am but than in the morning they said it didn’t run until 10am so we had to get a taxi for $15.

The property was more on the average side. It was clean and tidy though. My only main complaint would be parking because it's expensive and ridiculous. You already spend a ton on the room and then having to pay $50 for overnight parking per night? Insane. And what's worse is that if you already pay for parking and the garage is full there's nothing they can do. You're just out of the money and a place to park.

Upon entering the front desk I was greeted very warm and professionally. Checked in smoothly. Upon entering the room overall it looked clean. When turning down for bed, fixing the pull out sofa bed. Using covers provided, it was dirty stains of blood. We called front desk and was switched to another room. I had to go down and retrieve keys for new room. Upon getting in new room clean however carpet was worn/torn, bed lumpy. The hotel staff was very nice. The rooms needs to be updated and beds aren’t comfortable. I was given free parking after the dirty linen fiasco

The room was really nice. I had a suite that had a kitchen. The dishes were absolutely disgusting and dirty. Didn't realize it until we were about to use them around midnight. Wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off the wall. There was no conditioner in the shower. Minor things but I feel like if I'm paying all this money then this is stuff that should be taken care of before I arrive. Other than that it was pretty good.

The staff was friendly, but the property itself is dirty and unhygienic. Most importantly, there is limited to no parking available on the property. Additionally, once you step outside onto the main road, it feels unsafe as it is surrounded by sex workers and police. Safety was a major concern for me since I was travelling for a conference and had to walk 15-20 minutes through that environment from the metro station to reach back to the hotel. This should have been clearly mentioned on the website or by staff at check-in instead of discovering it myself in the evening. In addition, the property is not maintained properly. I had a kitchenette where the stove didn't work and the dishwasher was leaking. Housekeeping was only once every other day, and they didn't clean the washroom; they just made the bed. The AC didn't work while I was travelling during a heat wave in DC. Due to these reasons, I won't be staying at this property ever again.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with a neighboring guest’s dog barking on a few occasions, but the front desk staff was attentive and understanding of our concerns. It would be nice if there were more restaurants within walking distance, and it was rather pricy to park on the site, which I would recommend anyway as there weren’t any other close areas to securely park. Driving distance to the arena and central city area was not too bad, just have to be vigilant and mindful of hectic city driving. The hotel breakfast had a good variation and we were able to grab snacks from the back bar in the lobby as needed. Beds were comfortable, and the towels were pretty standard. Overall, would recommend for shorter or weekend stays.

First, there is nothing to like about this property. Too far away to walk to the the major tourist attractions. Second, the suite that we booked was "not available" for us as per the shady manager, "their system is new, and they overbooked" , which was apparently a lie. Instead they put our family into two unconnected suites, one of which was really filthy, with clogged sink, and strong musty smell. There are better choices out there.

The sofa bed in our unit 1711 was old, uncomfortable, and loud. The heater/AC unit was very loud. The breakfast selection on our first morning was poor and the buffet area was not clean and somewhat chaotic. The front desk was good about changing our room and added a second mattress to the sofa bed which helped considerably. We moved to room 1605 I believe. Much better. Hotel is not in walking distance of any Capital area attractions. Good if you’re looking for no frills value + a kitchenette.

The staff were very friendly and i appreciated the eco gestures. Location is also good. Shocked to the core by the $45 parking fee as a hotel guest. Also, service was non-existant (not the fault of the staff but rather the way the hotel was set up to operate): We were a party of 3 so would be using the pull out couch. Couch was not made up & when we called to get bedding we were instructed to come pick up bedding from front desk as no staff could bring it up. Bedding was torn and so had to go back down to front desk a 3rd time to pick up. This is beyond crazy and is the opposite of how you would treat any guest, much less a paying guest. Shocked.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. we walked a ways to get there (our choice). they gave us water and advised about the shuttle. the breakfast was the regular breakfast, but very well put together, neat and clean. I forget some items at the front desk, they tried to call, then they had someone bring them up. This was a new area of DC for us and we loved it. the shuttle took us to Union station and would take you anywhere within a mile of the hotel. the rooms were spacious and large and I’m planning on staying again to explore more of the area and restaurants.

The only thing I was disappointed about was customer service. After driving close to 4 hrs we arrived with our 3 kids by 10:30pm. There was no parking in the initial lot. When I went inside it seemed like I was bothering someone to open up the second parking floor. The staff were not warm or welcoming. They looked just as tired as I was that night. I was told there was a shuttle to take you anywhere within 1 mile of the hotel and back. After coming back on the Metro NoMa-Gallaudet location I tried to call the hotel for about 10 min - no answer. I was trying to connect with the hotel to ask about the free shuttle. I ended up walking back to the hotel. Hotel itself was clean and the rooms are spacious.

Our stay was great. From checking-in is seamless . Amanda in the front desk was so kind and helpful. The room is homey. Surroundings is quiet which we like. We like that we have free breakfast ready every morning. The food is fine , what was great is we are full and ready to go for the day of fun. Its also nice to know that they have shuttle bus to go to the city center though we didn't avail it because we have our car.

The staff here is EXCELLENT and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Clean, spacious rooms, wide variety free breakfast, easy parking. They really make you feel appreciated.

The staff were great and accommodating. The shuttle service was an added bonus. The hotel is situated is in a more sketchy area and far from downtown. The parking charge is overpriced especially when the garage is not secure and anyone can wander in.

Not impressed and not unimpressed. It was a fine place to stay with kids and the walk to the metro felt pretty safe. Just lots of trash around and super heavy on the weed in the area. The whole city smells like weed though now so you’re gonna find that everywhere (better than other city smells I guess). The hotel is old but clean. The mattress was too firm for me. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I have a roof box on my car and we didn’t have trouble parking. Breakfast was what you’d expect. I didn’t like it but my kids are 3 and 4 and they thought it was fantastic. The event we were in town for was cancelled so we checked out early and went somewhere nicer for our second night in town since the location wasn’t serving its purpose for us anymore.

Door key vs elevator key are not the same. I used mobile device to open the door but not the elevator. Confusing with the door cards. Not working. Breakfast was terrible, too overcooked and too long old. Paper plates, plastic forks, toaster did not do much. Lack of drinks..water bottles not offered in the room.

The staff was great!!! The complimentary breakfast was decent, especially the waffles. The room was nice and clean. Things I didn’t like: I had to keep requesting toilet paper, towels, face/wash clothes and soap. There were no complimentary toothpaste or mouthwash. There was NO BACON on the breakfast buffet. Even though the bathroom was nice and wheelchair accessible, it allows the floor to become wet, which allows water damage to set in. I didn’t see mold but you could see rust colored water staining (maybe rust in the water). I paid quite a bit for two nights but I was in town for Treasure concert (which was AMAZING) so the gauge in pricing was expected. I must say the whenever we request something it was brought to us right away and the young lady working the buffet stayed on top of keeping everything refilled from plates and cups to food.

My daughter and I visited DC for the first time to see the Cherry Blossoms and all that can be seen in a week. Amanda and her staff were absolutely wonderful! There was a meet & greet our first night. They had a light dinner of soup, salad, fresh fruit and cheese and fresh baked cookies and brownies. An array of drink options, everything was free for guests. I believe this is on Wednesdays. Breakfast is included, every day something different. The kithen staff takes pride in serving tasty meals. Their free shuttle service takes guests within 1 mile of the hotel to local stores and restaurants and the Metro Stations.You must visit Unon Market! The front desk staff is so helpful and friendly. They provided us with maps, suggestions and tips for a safe and fun time. Thank you for a great week!
